Glad I bought the nomad, 30' extension hose, ensuite and awning... Wish I had known about the power bank! Excellent section on packing it after use BTW 👍
Great video, he definitely packs it away alot easier than it is for me to do. Hopefully a few more practices and I'll manage to get it all back in the tub quickly 😅
We've had ours now for about 10 months and we've used it 4-5 times. At first we struggled with the HOTTAP turning off when we used water from our own spigot at home. But after receiving some good CS from the Joolca gang, we realized that our tap water is warmer than most. Once we turned the heat all the way down and the flow all the way up, we got excellent results. We love love love our HOTTAP nomad!!
My best friend got this during the kick starter. He freakin loves it and I was able to mess with it myself during the recent camping trip last week. My second time messing with it but my first time setting it up. OMG this setup is awesome and can't wait to purchase it myself.
Used ours the past weekend for the first time, soooo nice to take a hot shower after a day riding on the dusty trails. Hot water at the sink is pretty cool too.
Can the reach extension hose be used to extend the sink away from the hot tap as well as be used to extend the sink drainage far away? Going to be ordering the nomad kit and triple room tent, can’t wait for the shower base either!
New to this. Why can't you use both the sink and shower at the same time even though they are both connected? (Unlikely one needs to use both at the same time while camping, but I'm curious.) Is the shower head and faucet flow rates adjustable or just on/off.
Hello! The water flow would be reduced if both the outlets were open, which could cause the HOTTAP to shut off due to lack of water flow. Also, the flow rates are not adjustable through the handles, only through the blue water dial. 🙂
We just set this up today and the LED display does not work. The batteries were tested and are good. They were placed correctly as well into the case and up into the Joolca. Everything else works properly, so I’m glad for that. So we will be able to use this for camping but will not be able to use the LED screen.
Oh, sorry to hear this. It looks like the LED Is not connected properly. Can you please reach out to us at support@joolca.com? We'll send you the steps on how to fix that. 🙂
Hi there, we only have them in the US. If you are from a different region, something like this will work: tinyurl.com/t9ewmkvf Our hose connections use 1/2" BSP fittings. 🙂
It includes a 5m 12V cigarette socket cable. 🙂 There are other ways to power the pump, you can check them out here: support.joolca.com/hc/en-us/articles/5482992878479-How-to-power-your-Joolca-pump
Does the shower tent have an open floor or not? Would be nice it it were to keep dirt/mud off your wet feet but on the other hand… if closed floor then it would essentially be collecting everyones shower scum
Hey John! You can also set the HOTTAP to min water/max gas (hottest setting) and the water temperature should increase by 30C-35C. If it's still not heating enough, make sure that the gas hose is fully tightened and check for any debris or dirt that might be stuck in the gas connections. 😊
@@Joolca During my winter camping, the water temperature from source is less than 5C. This gives a low flow temperature of around 35C-40C, not the steaming hot high flow shower I was hoping for, can I daisy-chain 2 units together for a high flow 45C shower?
I see! In theory, daisy-chaining 2 HOTTAPs can work, but we haven't tried this yet. You can also achieve higher temperatures by recirculating the water in a tub or bucket. :)
Hi there, our products are currently made in Bangladesh (our Tent range) and China for everything else. All of the manufacturing partners we deal with have been hand-selected based on their professionalism and the quality of work they produce. :)
Just received mine and will be sending it back. With the lowest water pressure, I barely got it alternating in between 35-36°C. Bloody useless. Save yourself from frustration and look for the alternative product.
I'm sorry to hear this. Can you please contact us at support@joolca.com for further assistance? We'd like to get this sorted for you ASAP. Setting the HOTTAP on low flow and high gas should give you a temp increase of around 35C on top of the incoming water temp. 🙏
The califont will struggle to get to 45 degrees if the water at the source is cold. Warm source water equals no problem adjusting to your preferred temp. However, it's a difficult problem to solve if your water you draw from is cold, unfortunately.
Hey, the blue hoses are 2m each, and the red ones are 1x 1m and 1x 4m. You can check out our Reach Extension hose (10m) if you need a longer one. It's this one right here: www.joolca.com/products/reach-extension-hose
This is an unreliable piece of equipment.Stay away from it. For the hearing element to kick in a minimum Water flow rate must be met. Mine will not flow fast enough to start heating the water with the shower head attached. Even when doing this it sometimes doesn't flow fast enough to trigger the heating element.
Turn the flow dial down a bit and see if the burner ignites sooner. If I turn the flow up beyond halfway it takes a long time for the burner to ignite. I connected to house water and the burner ignites quicker so maybe it's a pressure thing. Weak pump maybe or the flow sensor is not accurate. Not a lot of difference in flow minimum to max anyway.
This is one of the best instructional videos I’ve ever seen.

This looks awesome! I love that everything fits into the sink basin.
I also like the shower tent and base.
I would be tempted to keep those moulded pulp components to keep everything organized ...
Just ordered my Nomad, can’t wait to get it.
Very helpful, excited to use mine! Thanks!
❤️
I’m glad he shows how to remove the lid. Is not in the manual 👌
Thank you for this video! Very informative and inclined to purchase 😊
Glad you liked it! We'll be here if you need help with anything! 😍
Brilliant invention

Nice job
do you have to use the gas connection for this o work? especially if you only need cold water

No worries!
It's pretty hard to read if in sunlight. Red would be a better color IMO.
❤ This!🎉
Does this model come with the connection for the water hose? If i jave shore water do i have to buy a quick connect fitting seperate?

Hi! The ENSUITE pop-up tents have a closed floor but with mesh sides for the water. The Mounted tents have an open floor.
Need a solution for a cold water source, with limited temperature uplift of my Joolca unit.

what gas does it use please
Hello! The HOTTAP uses propane. 😊
Wish I have this ween I was homeless
You made that packing up look way too easy.
bart great video if its not made in china i will get one

Ours works just fine to get it to hot temps, too hot actually
Hoses are all a little bit short lol
