Honestly, this is maybe no the main point of the video, but i have to say you are a very "pedagogue" person. I'm not even an english native, but the way you explain and show examples are so clear and well done that's so nice to watch. Now, about Corona. Damn i'm always amaze by the quality of this engine. I'm already using few of other render from Chaos (Enscape when i have to be fast and V-Ray for a high quality) but right now i haven't try Corona by myself, even if i follow with a lot of attentiveness all the update and new version about it. Sadly my computer spec is mainly focus on GPU rendering, but i really want to try some day Corona.
Thank you so much for the kind words on both the tutorials and on Corona itself! Our aim is to make everything clear, with careful explanation, so we are glad to hear it works :) Good choices there with Enscape and V-Ray, they make a nice pairing to cover various situations and as you say allow for a GPU focus. TY for following our updates, and whenever something seems interesting enough there is always the free trial so you can have a play with Corona, even if that is just for fun during the trial period! Thanks! Tom
Thanks for this video. I need more video for tutorial like this in details like layer material, shader, what native cinema 4d function that corona support and more and more...
You are welcome for this video! And no need to worry, we will always be creating more and more and more tutorials too :) That said, we won't be creating videos on native Cinema 4D functionality, we leave that to general C4D teaching channels, and instead we just list what native C4D features we support over at corona-renderer.com/features/features-full-list-cinema-4d (due to be updated to Corona 5 really soon, tomorrow if all goes well!) Thanks! Tom
Hi! At 3:30 of the clip I sent, when putting HDRI into sky, the ren is dark. I render it is also dark (adjusting the intensity that makes it is blazing) After that he clicks on the other corona camera (camera - HDRI), the render brights very beautiful. Can you share setting camera - HDRI. please!
Hey there! So this is belated reply for which I apologize - my notifications were messing with me. I'm the one who recorded the tutorial and I'd like to help you and people with similar questions out. I'm not quite sure what exactly is going wrong on your end but typically if you do use a proper 32 bit (and multiple exposure captured) HDRI then all you probably need to do is to rotate it into place and adjust the exposure settings. If things look "blown out" you can control the highlights (brightest parts of the image) with the highlight compression and filmic highlights. Those settings are found in the VFB or in the Corona Camera tags themselves :) Hope it helps!
Hi I follow the steps to use a picture as a background and it works great, the only thing not working is that the background can't be seen trough my glass material, any ideas why is it happening?
Hi! For receiving help, it is best to post on the forums, where you can share an image showing what is happening, an image showing what you want to happen, grabs of the scene set up (or the scene itself via private uploader) - please head to forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?board=49.0 (UA-cam comments just don't provide what is needed to give support). Thanks! Tom
I seem to get stuck at 4:02 when you switch to the different, more exposed camera. I have the same dark scene as you do beofre switching to the different camera. And I can't seem to get the camera settings right. No matter what settings I try in post processing, my scene eitther comes out burned (hughlights are over exposed) and shadows are too dark in corners, or if i try to tweak it, the intensity of the highlights (the sun coming through the window) gets faded. Either way, I can't seem to achieve those glowy, warm sun highlights that you have coming through the window in your scene. If you could, sharing the camera settings would be helpful for me and other users having the same problem. Thanks so much!
@@hazaa It could be, however, UA-cam comments are a really bad place to try and diagnose anything. Best thing is to post on the forums, where you can share screen shots of your scene set up, renders showing your results, etc. Without seeing that information, it is impossible to diagnose what you are experiencing and why. You can head to forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php . Or you could contact support via a ticket too (see help.c4d.corona-renderer.com/support/solutions/articles/12000033461-how-to-report-issues-c4d ). Thanks! Tom
one Question for the back ground of the end of video. I follow this tutorial. I have 1 image with 4096x2304 Resolution and add to Material diffuse. Set it as texture of background object, set the tag as fontal and hit render. But the result don't like what I want, I see like each pixel in background of rendering image. Thanks !
Hi! Sorry, I don't fully understand what is happening - and unfortunately, UA-cam comments are not a good place for this, as seeing an example render etc. is very useful in these cases. For that kind of help and question, please head over to the forums (corona-renderer.com/forum/) and post there, which will allow sharing of images, screengrabs of set ups, and also allows support, developers, other users etc. to see and reply to the problem. Thanks! Tom
I am not sure that you can - best bet would be to ask over on the forums where support and developers (and the community) will see the question - forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?board=49.0. Thanks! Tom
Yep, as Tom already said it is a dual 2696v3 Xeon machine but there is a disclaimer there. I was running it without HyperThreading which means performance was a good 20% to 30% slower than it normally would be. On top of that, add another 10% as I was running it underclocked too :) Yes, experimental stuff (for various reasons) so you probably can't compare apples to apples here unfortunately.
thank you for all the replies, I am currently building a new machine, going with a ryzen threadripper 3970x with 64GB of RAM, lets see how it holds up to the dual xeon machine.
the best corona that ever existed

Hello, How can I bake objects with Corona lights in Cinema 4D?

Is there a source file of this tutorial ?
What machine is this? CPU, GPU, RAM
I checked in with the author, and it's a dual 2696v3 Xeon machine, 64 GB RAM. GPU doesn't really matter for Corona :) Thanks! Tom
