I love the use of non-English languages. You don’t get that kinda telly any more.

It’s amazing how much Jin changed from s1 to s6, in s1 I though he was a bad man that was bad to his wife, but that was only sun’s fathers doing, he isn’t bad at all, and I don’t remember his hair being so short 🤔

Fun fact: obviously Jin only spoke Korean and he had to learn English in the program. But it was the other way round for the actor who played him Daniel Dae Kim, as he spoke English but he had to learn Korean as he grew up in America.

Phelton Phive Context is key. Not saying what he did was ok, but under certain pressures and circumstances even good people will be willing to do bad things.

@@watsonxox7145 Under certain pressures and circumstances bad people become good people. Why are you so intent on explaining away any kind of character change? The context is that he had a lot of bad character traits and gradually shook them off.

Guillaume I’m not trying to explain away character change. A good person with bad attributes shedding away those bad attributes in the face of challenge is still character growth, no? If anything, I think looking at Jin’s arc with all the context in it is far better than just seeing it as a bad person turning into a good person. With context, we see how Jin had a good heart despite his poor circumstances. In the face of his circumstances, he exhibited a lot of nasty behaviours (which were likely coming from a place of fear in and of themselves), and in the face of challenge he realised this and was able to shed those characteristics. That’s still an arc, no?
