- This video I hope you find it helpful because most of us when we make pot holder, oven mittens, kitchen towels but we forgot 1 thing is very important to have is casserole hot pad. My husband always use my dish towels and placed under the cookies tray and it driving me crazy. I decided to make this especially for him and hope he leaves my kitchen towels alone 😂

Hi Vivian, This would make a lovely table mat you could make one for everyone round the table .We have had heavy rain all day. My husband and I have been to our youngest daughters with my other daughter and all the grandchildren to watch Christmas films. She made food with my other daughter really nice. Vivian, the way you did the corners was so much easier than the way was taught. I’m definitely going to try it that way next time. I’ve been quilting for several years now and always hated those corners. You know how to stop your husband from using your towels for hot mitts? Put a picture of him using a towel on your pin cushion. 😂 That will work better than anything! The weather up here has been crazy! The wind has been extremely strong. And it’s either been raining or freezing rain. We were without power for about 5 hours today. Thankfully we have a generator and we could keep the pellet stove going for heat and the refrigerator running as well. There’s a chance of this all turning to a lot of snow too. I’d rather have the rain. We are celebrating our Christmas tomorrow, Saturday. Chinese buffet supposed to be open Christmas Day so we might do that on Sunday. I like this so much! Very useful and simple to make too. I hope your Drs find out and fix whatever is causing your pain.
Andrea, he thin because I have been doing my work on the floor now it starts the pain but will see with all the exercise and take break in between each 1/2 hour sewing or cutting on the floor, walk around .I will see him in the next 2 weeks to see if it help and if not we will have to go further with more testing like CT scan or injection

This is a great idea you can put hot pots or plates things like that and very easy to make. Can you tell me how do you know what kind of interfacing to use? Ty for sharing be blessed be safe 💜💜 🙏🏾
Sheila,, this one I used Insul _ Bright batting, whether you want if hot pad or oven mitten.. each of the batting is different. In my description is the link for this.. the one you use for microwave called Wrap N Zap 100% cotton. I made many kitten items and I know which one for which.. If you not sure you always can google and search for insulation for oven mitten or hot pad...

Ms Vivian this a greatt little gift! i had to laugh when you said your look didn't work with your husband anymore. you must be too nice. because after 30+ yrs of marriage my"look" still has my husband stopping in his tracks and immediately apologizing, the Haha!! i picked up a little tip from Quilter, Lisa Capen instead of using pins she uses elmers glue sticks to hold her batting to the cloth. just put it on around the edges and randomly over the piece. and since this is cotton just iron it to set the glue. then she quilts it. yeah it's an extra step, but you don't have to deal with stabbing yourself with pins, dropping and then not being able to find it all that kind of thing, and when you wash it the glue comes right out. others just use basting spray. just an option for those that hate pinning like i do. Have you asked your doctor about the pain in your bum being sciatic nerve. it's a simple trip to a chripractor to have fixed. my mother in law and a good friend of mine have both had it. literally a pain in the bum! i have some serious issues tha i go to my chiropractor for and i love him. he makes my life bareable and makes walking possible. truly hope you feel better, Have a Mery Christmas and a Happy new Year! take care, stay safe, stay well, Love always Mary From NE
