    Looking for a phenomenal chocolate cake recipe? Look no further! My "Ultimate Chocolate Cake" recipe is the only chocolate cake recipe you will need!     I made this on Saturday for my significant other :) It was amazing!!! So light and fluffy with just the right amount of decadence to leave you 'Mmmm'ing. I made some truffles to decorate the top too. I used a dark chocolate ganache, some dulce de leche, and some salt to make little hershey's kisses type shapes then covered them in cocoa powder! Your channel really has helped me gain some confidence in the kitchen :) Thanks for another wonderful recipe Tatyana!

    I did it for my entire family . the recipe was just amazing, I love you a lot but instead of adding gold rhum I did applied 1 tablespoon of white rhum ,and it came out excellent thnkss for everything😁😁✌😁

    a little Hello from algeria just to tell you how gorgeous you are, i like all of you recipes, in fact here in algeria the most popular butter cake is the one you jst made in this video, we use it in cakes or a swiss roll, and for the frosting usualy we use the chantilly so am wondering if it's okey if i use some salted butter instead of unsalted todo the frosted you made here?

    Also there is a slight correction needed in the recipe . Flour is 1 and 1/4th cup .which is written as 156gm .. it should come up to more in grams . Cause one cup alone is about 230 gms .correct me if am wrong

    I made this today . Wish I could upload a picture here for u to see . It looks beautiful . The only drawback I felt is that my cake has become v dry . Idk if I did something wrong or it's the refrigeration that made it so .

      So sorry the cake was dry! Make sure to soak the cake layers very, very well. And refrigeration might also do that...

    hi tatyana, yesterday I baked this cake for my uncle's birthday and the overall look and taste of the cake was great. However I wanted to perfect the cake and there were two things I noticed and received feedback from friends ... the cake was a little dry and the butercream had an aftertaste of butter. could you please advise how this could be made better. Also the colour of cake was much lighter than yours.

    Hi Tatyana let me start off saying I love the elegance in your cakes I tried this cake...It is good but it was little dry even though it is dipped in abundant chocolate syrup it wasn’t moist...I guess sugar syrup is the best choice...Please suggest

      Hi! Oh, no! I'm sorry that it turned out dry for you. I just released a new chocolate sponge cake recipe that also includes butter in the batter. Maybe try that version for a bit more moisture :)

    Hi Tatyana, I visit your page everytime i need some inspiration and i absolutely love your recipes. I just have to ask how long this cake and buttercream can be left outside at room temperature? I'd like to make it the day before a party but wasn't sure whether to refrigerate or leave at room temperature. Aldo does this kind of buttercream retain it's fluffy texture after a day or two?       Hi! :) if you're making this for the next day, I do recommend refrigerating it. The buttercream can start to melt when left out for too long. I recommend taking the cake out of the refrigerator about 1 to 2 hours before serving to allow the frosting to soften :)

    Tatyana plz tell me when should we apply our sugar or chocolate syrup on the cake? what should be the temperature of your cake and syrup? and is this chocolate frosting stable for a long time? plz ans my all questions... I'm waiting for your reply... thanks

      Make sure the cake is completely cooled before adding anything else to it! Let the layers cool at room temperature. Yes, the frosting should be stable for a while. I recommend frosting the cake, refrigerating it for at least a few hours or overnight, then the frosting will be set for hours.

    Hi. for your buttercream frosting you don't use icing sugar. Instead you used condensed milk. will it hold its consistency to pipe flowers and will it hold its shape in hot climate .

    ооооооох😍😍😍 как всегда - шедевр!!!! Татьян, подскажите, а какой фирмы брать какао, чтоб коржи были такими темными? И если я сделаю половину порции теста и выпеку в одной форме, подъем сохранится у бисквита? Или лучше каждый корж отдельно выпекать? Меня всегда смущает этот процесс, ведь тесто, которое ждет своей "очереди" на выпечку опадет.

      +Шахноза Доценко I use Hershey''s Special Dark Cocoa powder. You can try making half the recipe and baking it in a 9-inch pan. Just let it cool completely before splitting the layers :) Do not let the cake batter stand, it will fall flat. I recommend baking the cake as soon as you have the batter ready!

      Hi! I recommend cutting down the recipe by a third, using 6 eggs. i usually use special dark cocoa powder by Hershey's :)

      This recipe is better for cakes. For cupcakes, I recommend using my chocolate cake recipe that's featured in my 'Black Forest Cake' video. And yes, block chocolate will also work :)
