The late, great Charlie Daniels once said, "Jimmy Hall has more soul in his little finger than most people have in their whole body." Man, if this shit doesn't give you goosebumps then maybe you better check for a pulse too while your at it!
@@GBeret83 Fair enough. My fellow music friends give me a ton of shit for this but I have never been an Allman Bros fan. I did see Greg solo, late in his career. He surprised me in many ways. I mean that in a very good way. Cheers.
I've seen jimmy play 20 plus times with wet Willie warming up Allman brothers. It was hard to tell sometimes which show I enjoyed the most. Jimmy was always awesome.
@Angela Lopez, This is bad ass. You think Jimmy's voice sounds good here, look up his recent recording from May, 2020 with the band Blackberry Smoke filmed at Capricorn Studios in Macon, Georgia doing one of his old Wet Willie standards from the early 70's "Keep On Smilin". His voice is incredible as is his harmonica work in the song, at the ripe old age of 71. Check it out. If your a Jimmy Hall fan then you'll probably love it.
My wife and I saw this up in Seattle also. Jimmy came out after the show and sat on the edge of the stage and you could just walk up and talk to him like a regular guy. It was so wonderful.
What an intense set of pipes on Jimmy Hall, amazing; accompanied by the incomparable guitar god Jeff Beck. Wow!!!
Wet Willie was first big act i ever saw, Jimmy Hall is a natural musician...

Maybe the best blues rock singer alive. Please do not change Jimmy., oh and you too Mr Beck.
@alan dvorkis, I would say second only to the late Greg Allman as being perhaps the greatest "white" blues singer on the planet.

Between him and delbert

You had the opportunity of seeing arguably the two finest "white" blues singers on the planet together then in Greg Allman & Jimmy Hall.
Plus he's an awesome dude. Real down to earth.
Jimmy Hall Y’all !
Amazing, and to think he was 67 at the time of this recording.....damn.

His best performance I saw was 1975 in the superdome at a day of rock n roll. 85,000 people. Amazing
Wow, still hitting the notes with such control at his age. He must take good care of himself, in addition to having a natural talent.
Ooooh weeee! Jimmy Hall can sing!!!
Awesome thanks Jimmy and jeff
why havnt we heard more bout this guy???hes awesome!
Checkout Jimmy's work with Wet Willie, Prisoners of Love, and his solo stuff. He's been singing at that level since the very early 70s.
well, shit, JIMMY started in the 70's leading WET WILLIE, and JEFF began in the 60's, so its not a secret...
