- In this video we finally get round to moving over one thousand round bales of silage back to the yard to feed for the winter. Its a daunting task that seems too take forever and things aunt always going to plan! At one point we have so stop to completely re build a part for the trailer. With excellent drone footage and great all round farm content, this is not one to be missed.

Ohh you are making me blush. Hat looks good on you!
Nothing better than a good stack of bales 👍 fair bit of fodder there , if you stacked them the right way you’d have no issues with them at 4 high 😉
That is epic that he had your name put on it. Keep your head covered in style.
Your bales @ 1.40 are to soggy to stack 4 layers safely. Also the bottom layer is to loose. The bales should be snuggled up to each other . This significantly reduces the uneven settling that occurs and makes the stack more stabil.
The other benefit is vermin are discouraged by tight stacking. Leaving a gap that allows vermin but blocks cats can creat a vermin refuge.
Just imagine drawing all them with a single bale handler on a 80hp tractor , would be some form of torture
You will get there James, it’s such a good feeling when you know the winter feed is sorted, great video mate, a q and a would be good with you and dad 👍🏻
Hi James Nice one Thanks again
Excellent video brother! Greetings from Québec,Canada
Good video James 👍
Awesome bud cheers 👍🏻
nice video
You need a third tractor/trailer to draw to the yard. That would speed up the operation. Also bring home 2 trailers each teatime.
It doesn’t even have to be a big tractor like maybe 100-140 top
Less than 100 will do
@@owenhinrich2135 that’s true
Do you ever get problems with crows pecking holes in them,
great video, We are a dairy farm and do all bales wish our yields were as good as yours. Hauling bales in is always a mammoth task have been thinking about something like a keltec bale carrier to speed the job up they seem popular in Ireland. Wilson Engineering also do something similar.
I bought a keltec this year, very happy with it ,takes the pressure off job
Been subscribed for a few months really enjoy your videos
Would you be able to do a video and give an overview of your operation for us new subscribers
Thanks
Do you ever Consider pit silage? It's much cheaper here in Ireland and so much handier in the winter.
Is it not easier to put the bales on there rounds on the trailer ?
G R E A T V I D E O ! 😁
How many are you managing on your own with one tractor trailer and stacking them total in one day
Are they some cadeby Christmas trees
FYI it’s breakfast, lunch, dinner 🙊
Hi mate 👍 do you won't help
What happened to have the long tails on the wrap?
They're there to slap people in the wind shield as he drives past. I normally tuck those in when they occur.
I have just bought an old mc hale wrapper. Really like it but you can’t sit the bale on the end of the wrap so the wind tends to unwrap them if left in the field. I thought his wrapper tipped them on their end to stop this, must have been somebody else I was watching
If we leave ours out overnight crows have pecked holes in them.
Ye same here
Its not just me that chases the baler like an idiot then😂
It's a good problem to have.
Are you allowed to head onto the road without strapping the bales?
Its only illegal when you get stopped😏
Couldn't you clamp the grass
Shouldn't be going along the road without strapping or ropping down dude not cool 😒
They’re one high and bet he’s just off down the road, they’d struggle to fall off that in a hurry
