  • “Why didn’t I learn this in school?”
Many new workers end up asking themselves this very question after being injured on the job in Saskatchewan.
Barbara Compton (Community Safety Education Strategy Coordinator with the Saskatchewan Safety Council) has prepared new workers for 36 years as a teacher, vice principal, principal, then superintendent. Now, Barb is the person in charge of embedding injury prevention concepts in public school curriculums.
