I have the P3 too, it is currently my main A roll UA-cam camera, and it practically replaced my G85 for that purpose, even in the studio. Enjoy yours, it's a great video camera.
You will enjoy the OP3! I use the Action 4 often, love it but usually off on an adventure where I would be a bit worried about the OP3, plus I usually want everything to be be in focus not just my face (the background is usually mountains and lakes), but it is very tempting, and perfect for vlogging. And I know not part of this video, but I how about trying a Pan S9? Enjoyed your discussion! BTW I think you have the OP3 colours nailed!
@@gordon3988 thanks for that. The S9 I have mixed thoughts about. It’s missing all the bits I like on cameras including a hot shoe and EVF. I really don’t get taken into the FF hype, I can get amazing images from my M43 sensors (remember I shot Canon FF professionally before coming to M43). Plus I’d have to invest in new lenses. I do love the funky colours and the form factor. But I already have a G8 which has a hot shoe, an EVF, smaller lenses, 20Mp and an identical form factor.. Now, fit the sensor and processing of the G9ii into that funky coloured body, pop an EVF and hot shoe on as there’s so much more space inside and call it a GX8ii and I’d buy one without hesitation. Plus the other reason for not testing it is no one will own me one with lenses to test.
I totally understand why you choose to use this camera! Having said that though - I will always miss the beautiful footage from the Panasonic! Keep up your great work! Cheers!

I absolutely love mine. I bought Neewar nd filters as I do think it tends to over expose things. I also don’t think it would fare well in the wet weather. I wish the hard case would fit in the soft case. However it is THE camera I go to every time. It is, IMHO, the best alternative to using your phone. I don’t like using my phone as transferring content is too difficult, storage is a pain and I usually get a call midway. I have a Nikon z30 but it’s too cumbersome and complicated for me as a non camera person. Best value for money for my needs without question. I just keep it in my handbag all the time.
I have a Pocket3 and have found it a marvel except . . . during occasions where a tighter framing is desired. Its 20mm (35mm equiv, 10mm in MFT-land) focal length is far too wide for such things as stealthy concert recordings at more than a few yards from a stage. One can zoom in, using certain modes, but these are an electronic crop. I've kept my eye open for a clip-on lens that would increase the focal length, but the clip-ons I've found all want to make the field of view wider, just the opposite of what I'd like. This too-wide view is a common problem with action cams in general.

The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 certainly seems to be an awesome camera, based on all I have heard and read about it. I have the original Osmo Pocket (2 of them) I got used. They are great fun. I don't really vlog. I use then to have a camera on me at all times - if I'm not carrying my G100 of LX7. There a great format to capture b-roll without being obvious about it. @@lensmanonline only thing I’d say up to now is that the go pro is an action camera so it’s weather resistant and physically tough. Although the build quality of the pocket 3 is excellent it is more fragile than an action camera in having a motorised gimballed head and it’s not waterproof. For what I do that’s absolutely fine and indeed much tougher than I expected it to be. But it’s a different beast in action situations.
