^ THIS While Anime Studios are running out of great ideas, here we have SEGA with some really great IPs like this that has PERFECT potential to be an anime and NEEDS to be turned into one!
SEGA used to be very experimental with thier projects. Some really inspired stuff came out of sonic team from the late 90s into the 2000s. Now it all sequels
I really wish I could play this game. Not a remake, but this original gem, preserved exactly as Sonic Team originally intended for it, which is a pipedream considering its price these days and how hard Saturn games are to emulate. Higher framerates are welcome, but other than that, don't tamper with it. And if Sega ARE going to remake it, just give it the Nights Into Dreams treatment so I can play both the original and new version. Its 32-bit graphics have their own artistry to them, I love anything with that 90's science-fiction anime aesthetic, and I especially love the old text-to-speech voice used there. The whole audio and visual experience just SCREAMS 90's in the most joyful way possible, right up there with Serial Experiments Lain, Soul Hackers, The Silver Case and Macross Plus. I need my 90's fix.
Someone is working on a Unity fan remake, essentially, and it's about as faithful as you could hope for. The original still stands as the magnum opus of Sega Saturn 3D programming, though.
If I recall correctly, Sega almost did rerelease it, but not enough people bought their NiGHTS into dreams rerelease for them to actually go through with it
@@AshZucchini8168 They should have released it even if niche as fans out there would go out of their way to get it, shame NiGHTs Into Dreams sold like crap but still even if there is a niche set of fans SEGA should have done it.
SENSES A SPILIT SECONDuuuu... i always thought that Iceman, Boman Briggs and Navi were singing to the song towards the end....Yes I used to have this game and sold it long ago before the insane Panzer Dragoon Saga pricetag was even a thing after i bought a Dreamcast.
Yooo, I never noticed that you can see that girl they rescue from the space station at the end of the game for like 2 frames right at the end of the OP. Get Mother's Basement on the phone.
@kyonmanaka I totally agree :) Best opening song ever. There are moments in BR when I think I can see elements that were taken forward and used in PSO (and I don't just mean "Central Dome Fire Swirl" lol)
It's a text to speech program from Apple Macintosh software. Like how PCs have Microsoft Sam. But Apple's text to speech has more voices, accents, and effects. The same software was used in Capcom's Killer7
SEGA and whoever is left of Sonic Team is somewhat screwed untill they have enough love for their game to make show worthy openings and badass yet funky themes like they used to...
If sega continued make games for this game and make it a series than this series will sucessed make one game and exepect high sails even the biggest names of videogames today like mario Mario doesn't succsed from his first games he succsed after his forth game Donkey Kong 1981 Mario bros 1982 Mario on game and watch from 1982 to 85 And super mario bros
Sega totally could've made an anime based off this

I would KILL for a Outrun anime
Agreed, I picture them getting through a few seasons
Promare...
@@XG417 Burning Rangers anime? No, no, clearly another generic self-insert isekai anime needs to be made.
This makes me miss the 90s so much. The aesthetics, the ideas, and the songs. Like they say, you don’t know how good you had it until it’s gone. 🥲

in Sega's defense, almost everything is sequels these days because sequels are just generally safer.

Saturn games aren't that hard to emulate. I played this game on my laptop ten years ago, I'm sure it'll run fine now.
Someone is working on a Unity fan remake, essentially, and it's about as faithful as you could hope for. The original still stands as the magnum opus of Sega Saturn 3D programming, though.
I have a working sega saturn with this jem of a game i have the us and jap version of the game thnx to my somehow still working action replay pro
Get a reproduction one and play it on your original Saturn console
It runs really well on SSF besides some minor graphical issues and not liking PlayStation controllers (which might be on my end)
this cannot be disliked , it's too amazing!
The theme feels like a show that we were supposed to have in syndication but didn't, because "Super Sentai" blew up and became "Power Rangers."
I seriously think this needs to be released on Xbox live or something
If I recall correctly, Sega almost did rerelease it, but not enough people bought their NiGHTS into dreams rerelease for them to actually go through with it

Sega's Evangelion.
they REALLY don't make intros like this anymore.
Check out the intro to bloody roar primal fury
Or check out the openings to grandia, wild arms 1,2,3 & 4
@@simonmadden2952 yeah that one was pretty cool too. A nice gem for the gamcube.
This game shouldn't have been discontinued, though I haven't played it myself, I've watched it and its too great!
Fun fact: The English Singer for We’re Burning Rangers and Angels with Burning Hearts is the same for Sonic Adventure 1 and 2’s U.N.K.N.O.W.N from Me
Angel with burning heart
A CRIMINALLY underrated game at the time
Oh Sega discount Meatloaf ... your voice is awesome
+leonhart423 Best description of that guy, ever.
Remember his name: Dennis St. James
@@Shamshiro also known as Dennis John Feldman. He has likely retired since the late 90's or early 2000's.
I miss this sega.
This song is so cheesy but awesome at the same time
The vocalist sorta reminds me of Blaze Bayley.
I don't really hear it, but he's a great vocalist none the less. The X-Factor is one of the best Maiden albums imo
Bring this franchise back, Sega!!
Did anyone notice the the fire blast after "treasure the life" is in the shape of a dragon.
It reminds me of Radiant Silvergun
And this isn't an anime why?
Yooo, I never noticed that you can see that girl they rescue from the space station at the end of the game for like 2 frames right at the end of the OP. Get Mother's Basement on the phone.
Love this anime style
Fire Force before Fire Force.
Ah I see so this is how fire force was made
Fire Force (1998)
@kyonmanaka I totally agree :) Best opening song ever.
There are moments in BR when I think I can see elements that were taken forward and used in PSO (and I don't just mean "Central Dome Fire Swirl" lol)
I had this on the saturn. I feel this game engine was used later in pso
That used Nights Into Dream's Engine but the game design was indeed taken again for PSO.
I believe that PSO reused Sonic Adventure's engine.
how do they get the robot voice?
It's a text to speech program from Apple Macintosh software. Like how PCs have Microsoft Sam. But Apple's text to speech has more voices, accents, and effects. The same software was used in Capcom's Killer7
Sounds like the Boomeraction guy
@Jorge Aviles I guess so!
No I refuse to believe that SEGA of all people make something like this. Are you sure Capcom didn't make this?
+Chaotixhero Absolutely sure, one of SEGA's!
Chaotixhero Entertainment straight up Sega dude.
The old Sonic Team was just fantastic. Check out NiGHTS for example ;).
I miss this sega
Sonic team
This game costs no less than $500 now.
Mojoplays brought me here and they were right this Intro is fire (pardon the pun).😀
SEGA and whoever is left of Sonic Team is somewhat screwed untill they have enough love for their game to make show worthy openings and badass yet funky themes like they used to...
Cue da fuckin' Midi trumpets
Any one else here for that guitar solo?
Do anyone heard what the robot voice say?
Cant fully make out the first two phrases. The others are
"February chamber fully loaded"
"Transfer units setup completed"
"Deploy"
“Signal is detected.”
“Reaction on unit sensor.”
“February chamber fully loaded.”
“Transfer unit setup completed.”
“Deploy.”

Donkey Kong 1981

I think Fireforce stole this idea
