I had the same problem with a GSF distributor, looks exactly the same as my KR distro but the car became very gutless, making lots of noise but not actually doing much. Went to VW and bought the original bosch distro, and all was well again. Thanks for making this series, I'm enjoying it a lot!
@@RestoDesignsnando You seem to know what you are doing so I'd like to ask you something. What 4x100 brakes would be a nice budget option for a 16V swap into a 1.3 or 1.6D shell? Something thats affordable, hopefully cheap but does the job.
@@sv_cheats1970 Get a set of Golf mk3 front hubs that are 256mm, really nice and cheap, plus a 22.8mm brake master cylinder from a 1990 Golf mk2 GTI 16V, as most small engine mk2's have a 18mm or 20mm BMC.
good job!! for the next time, there was no need of changing the dis, thats what the trigger angle in the ms setup is for, you should be able to change it and make it work. and of course always double check the timing with a timing light!

Thanks for watching mate, glad you're liking the mk2 content. 👍🏼
That cover does look very good, going to have a look on eBay, you never fail to share some great knowledge.
Much appreciated mate.👍🏼 I can't over state how much of a difference it makes.
Wow you really threw the creme de la creme of parts at this build.
Will be a monster for sure when it gets sorted.
Thanks a lot friend, yes this feels like it could be a really nice motor so far. Lets see how it goes once the running in is done. 👍🏼
@@RestoDesignsnando really is nice, I wouldn't mind doing a budget 16V swap for myself. Perhaps a 2.0 16V from an Audi A6 C4 / 80 B4.

Yep thanks for the tip you make a good point about the ing angle setting. Yes totally going to setup with a timing light to match the engine to ecu.
@@RestoDesignsnando nice work dude, looking forward to see more progres, and maybe some dyno pulls....
@@bombitamotorsport yes this will be a on going developing project with dyno runs👍🏼
Those radiator air guides I believe you got them the other way round, the top part goes on top of the radiator not the headlights.
Thinking about it you may be right, 🤣👍🏼
