Their technical abilities are stunning to behold, then again you get overwhelmed with the LIVE performances and the sheer diversity of their songs. The one thing that is uniform is that they will always surprise you but NEVER disappoint in any of their performances. No one plays Thrash better LIVE than this group, of course they play everything else just as stunningly.
I’m flabbergasted every time MIDORI rips off that super fast staccato trim at the third position. It’s like HANNEMAN/KING, only good. MIYAKO’s solo is a tribute to Gary Moore, and in this song it’s an unexpected juxtaposition that works so well. Overall, the song has strong TESTAMENT vibes, which is awesome.
I think about it this way.. song structure wise, it's the reverse of Master of Puppets. While MoP has verse-prechorus-chorus-verse-prechorus-chorus-slow instrumental-slow solo-midsection-fast solo, Break The Wall is the exact opposite. Verse-chorus-verse-chorus-fast solo-slow instrumental-slow-solo-fast midsection. It is as if you took the structure of Master of Puppets, and reversed it, while still giving you that 80s thrash vibe and keeping things new. That's a very fine line to walk, and LoveBites does it phenomenally.
Another one of Metal's glorious moments. And these brilliant ladies have an awful lot of them. Feels wonderful to be a passionate fan of theirs. Lovebites forever!
Miyako was her teachers' examplary masterclass student on the piano, and she is Midori's examplary masterclass student on the guitar. Combined with the fact that she is one of the best songwriters of all time, no-one ought to doubt Asami's words: " _Every_ band should have a Miyako."

Great on-the-fly analysis of what's going on. For me, M&M are the greatest pair of guitarists in one band since Allman and Clapton, in part because they are so different in style and yet mesh so well. The contrasting solos really play to their different personalities. Thanks for featuring this.
there are many amazing japanese girl drummers. impossible to pick a number one but i think that haruna from this band and junna from HAGANE are neck and neck - with akane from BAND MAID nipping at their heels. i've never seren the likes of all of these incredibly talented girl groups that have been coming out of japan - for 15 years now they have been ruling rock and metal and i only found out about them in 2016. the last 8 years have invigorated my musical soul after a long hiatus.
One of their best songs and I agree, Midori's solo is simply incredible, up there with her absolute best ones. If you want to hear something that showcases their singer better, I'd recommend Epilogue or Edge of the World. Also a really great thrash metal album released this year is Toba from a Chilean band called Mayhemic. It reminds me of an old Kreator album, I highly recommend it to all fellow lovers of thrash metal.
I suggest you some less known but amazing songs of Lovebites: "Today is the day", "Signs of deliverance", "Scream for me" and "Empty daydream". In these songs you can listen to the most wild and insane guitar solo by Miyako and Midori and a phenomenal drums work by Haruna......
Thanks for the reaction. Against the background of such songs by LOVEBITES as 'Break the Wall', it is interesting to see the statements of some "experts" who, with a smart look, claim that this is a power metal band. ))
Ridiculously , tight, powerful , passionate and well arranged masterpiece of Trash Metal, and on top of all that, glamorous dolls playing at genius level live, as well..... WTF ???
SOKONINARU (そこに鳴る) are a Japanese power trio that will blow your mind in a different way; they are next level. Try TENOHIRA DE ODORU - ua-cam.com/video/n7MyoBki9wk/v-deo.html Can they really play that live? Take a look - ua-cam.com/video/Kuq-LIqZTY0/v-deo.html

This performance is my all-time favorite live recorded thrash song. If I could only listen to one subgenre of metal, it would be thrash.
Nice! 🤘

LOVEBITES - Break The Wall lyrics & credits:
(DIE) No sign of my time
Cause I wish to live another life
(BY) Who will save my poor soul?
Crying alone in a dim hole
(MY) Can't believe it's real
Cause in the end, everything is gone
(SIDE) How should I live from now?
Find myself staring at the walls
Tonight, I'll break the wall
It's now or never
Now, I'm on my own
I've gotta get free
Bite, I'll break the chain
Run to my shelter
Make it out alive
I have to break through the wall
(DIE)
No sign of my crime
Got my scars during wartime
(BY)
Who's the one that did it
Deadly venom eating me inside
(MY)
Spent my life in vain
I can't forget everything I've done
(SIDE)
I swear to my hatred
Find myself staring at the walls
Tonight, I'll break the wall
It's now or never
Now, I'm on my own
I've gotta get free
Bite, I'll break the chain
Run to my shelter
Make it out alive
I have to break through the wall
SOLO: midori / miyako

Cause I wish to live another life

Who will save my poor soul?
Crying alone in a dim hole

Yeah, The Apocalypse is a fantastic song.
