So impressed by the incredible debut MV you and everyone behind the scenes created for them. Have thoroughly enjoyed both of your behind videos! My ult Kpop group THE BOYZ are known for their amazing performances. They have made some iconic MVs, Roar, Maverick, The Stealer. I hope you will work with them some day! You’re awesome!
I started getting into Young Posse after seeing their XXL music video!! I feel like you perfectly captured the vibe of the song bc honestly the visuals were just as unique and captivating as the song. I can’t wait to see future mvs!
Idk how both sides found out about each other, but it's obvious that you really had fun making the music video. Kpop has lacked of such fun songs & videos for ages. "Macaroni Cheese" is a new breeze~
this is so interesting as someone in the digital design field... how this mv came from a crazy idea to set design and then 90% digital effects is INSANE

This group, MV and concept really came out of nowhere for me. I watched it on a whim, being intrigued by the name, little did I know that it would become my favourite MV. It's so unique, so fun to watch, and I really loved the effects, sets and design. Absolutely chuffed to see this behind the scenes content from yourself as well. Such a fascinating process. The greenscreen stuff is insane, I wouldn't have guessed half of that was green screen. What a weird concept but I guess everyone involved was equal weird so it worked out!
i just knew the entire producing crew was full of young people bcs ain't no way an oldass producing crew could pull something so weird but still cool like that (even if the company is endeed pretty goddamn old). this is one of the very very rare not cringe hiphop concept in kpop.
Its very common for new groups from smaller companies to have a very simplistic video for their debut, so seeing such a complex and well executed video for this new group was so refreshing and memorable !!
This is so cool, I have been curious about how all these greenscreen in Kpop works! Thanks for your details sharing❤. The video turn out really amazing!
Wow this is crazy! Love the kinda behind the scenes perspective, of this kinda small company and their new group, like all of these people arent really well known but theyre doing the most. Why are they so extra? Like wow the dedication. Incredible. How everyones individual skills can kinda mesh seamlessly together. Gorgeous. Disciplined cuteness, very good description of South Korea lol I watched the m/v as soon as it came out, super intriguing. Unique. Like it’s just so striking, incredibly memorable. Instant icon status.
This was one of the craziest K-Pop MVs I've seen, it really stands out. You and your crew did an amazing job and I think it'll get a lot of eyes on the girls than just a standard debut.
The music video reminded me of old Kpop videos, it definitely gave them a very good concept, I loved the direction of the video and being able to see behind the scenes, I hope to see more of your work in some other music videos!! The video was very fun and great.
Really cool to hear about the behind stuff... i don't recall any other kpop mv created by foreigners, so pretty cool to be given the opportunity. "cuteness and disciple"....so true (in regards to idols)... And isn't crazy we don't atleast have a pregnancy seat on the subway? So simple.

I loved the MV! Like, I was watching and simultaneously going "woah, that's a cool MV". It was quirky, and was giving early K-pop, like Orange Caramel's "Catallena" or Crayon Pop's "Bar Bar Bar". Edit: Many might not like it because it's something we're not habituated with in K-pop rn. But honestly, the creativity was impressive! And it's the sole reason I liked it so much.
Watching the MVs you made with them really feels like I'm inside a dream. It's so crazy and refreshing for KPOP at the same time. I also like that you guys put credits at the start of the MV in XXL because broooooo you guys deserve the spotlight. I HOPE YOU WORK WITH THEM MORE IN THE FUTURE!
This was so interesting. I like hearing how each culture surprises the other and adapts to work together. I saw Young Posse in their first international performance at the KWave concert in New Zealand. The audience was small but really vocal in their appreciation. They were adorable and so good. I looked up the video and loved the quirkiness. What a great job you all did! 🌸🍃
Yo ya vi el vídeo y quedó genial, me encanta lo diferente que es, porque de hecho este grupo tiene un concepto muy diferente a todos los de demas dentro del kpop. Excelente trabajo!

I'm so happy I got here to know about your own experience on creating a K-pop MV and having your own perspective as a foreigner to non-Korean people nor K-pop fans. I, myself, was negatively biased about K-pop before listening and looking at it because of some internet people talking bad about it and especially due to toxic fans that are out there on the internet talking sh** or creating wars between groups (I hate that part of the fandoms) but musically speaking, the musical production and the quality of their MVs are always on point. Even though some groups are composed by VERY young people (like Young Posse for example), they are very professional and have much discipline at such young ages. No one just do things randomly, they always write the lyrics and create the MVs with a purpose, with symbolisms, with so many details, actually that's why I keep liking K-pop nowadays. Watching the "Macaroni Cheese" MV made me happy because you can see a unique style that's not common these days and I liked that a lot. I wish you more and more amazing projects for the future!
Such a cool perspective on the whole MV, it was honestly one of my favorite music videos of the whole year! I hope you guys continue working together because I think young posse’s aesthetic and your over the top ideas created pure art
Crazy how I knew Navi from the normies channel lol. Then she introduced you and Young Posse who I already watched since I'm a kpop fan. Insane how things connected. 10/10 awesome work sir!
This is awesome!! Little correction, she didn’t introduce us… but Navi and I have been friends for so many years. When I told her I was going to do KPop she immediately said she wanted to come because she’s been needing a good excuse to travel to Korea! She also then convinced me to stay for an extra week and take advantage of the opportunity! So for that I am so thankful to her. She also created an amazing travel itinerary for us and it was a week of pure adventure I’ll never forget. Navi is the best!!
I absolutely *loved* the mv seemed so unique and fresh really made the group stand out among the others and this was truly a debut to be remembered! *phenomenal job*

Get in touch with the Purple Kiss people, they're a new-ish group that are great that still might be small enough to get another big foot in the door. I can see them really blowing up soon. They're doing a US tour starting in about a week.

This is so coool~~ thanks for sharing the story of how this all happened and the behind the scenes of "Macaroni Cheese" MV, it's definitely gaining a lot of attention, Young Posse is lit!
Thank you so much for sharing this video, that was so interesting !! Literally, every minute I wanted to pause the video to comment about how interesting or fun to know it was but I knew I should wait till the end before spamming the comments lol. First off I am so glad to know that the whole project and process was such a fun and positive experience. All of your point of views on kpop and the people you met as someone new to this was really nice to hear too. Knowing about every detail was actually fascinating and inspiring. This is such a nice job, but also super impressive and I just loved this breakdown from start to finish. I always wish that directors in kpop would share informations on the process of the concepts and videos like this, sadly it's very rare. Probably they're too busy but yes we mostly hear idols talking about the MV process and while their point of view is interesting too, it's not even half as interesting as what a director would have to say so to conclude this was just so great thank you !
Very interesting to watch. The music video caught my attention probably more than any other kpop mv released in 2023 and this just made me even more impressed. Hope to see more of your work!
Thanks very much for sharing. I knew most of this about Kpop videos from various sources, but it was interesting to hear it from an outsider with first hand experience and who seemed to have gone into it without much prior knowledge of Kpop. The concept of the video is fun, and it has lots of great ideas, and I understand that this was done by a small company on a small budget, but I feel that the director is wrong about CGI and the importance of details. It is precisely the CGI that makes this look cheaper than most kpop videos, which usually use location shooting and real, often customs made sets, and the attention to details and perfectionism is NEVER wasted, it's one of the crucial things that makes Asian art and entertainment so fascinating in general. Sorry to have to say this, the US entertainment industry is becoming a bit lazy, and that's also one of the reasons why people are turning to alternatives.
This video should have way more views. Great insight into a very, very fun looking project. I was immediately floored by how wacky and goofy both the song but especially the video was, made me an instant fan. Happy to know there was a lot of positivity throughout filming, just so many moving parts... sure everyone will feel some amount of stress but like you said, when you're passionate about something, you don't get as tired. Thank you so much for your hard work! I hope people will also follow Young Posse (the group), they're all so good and they seem so sweet.
this video was incredible and really funny. reminded me of high camp 2nd gen goofy video concepts and it works so well for Young Posse and their energy!! thank you for sharing this, it's so fun to see the process behind MVs like this! the hard work was worth it
This transcends just KPop fascination. This should be for a business channel. I am so inspired now for my own business after watching this. It's about the work, not the luck.
the way this group and song dropped with such an insane music video, with such a creative and fresh concept, really made more of an impact than a lot of other debuts do. your ideas were awesome, and it was so cool to see the final product! amazing work!
Idk If you will read this, but I hope so! The first time I watched the music video I was in complete shock, literally with my mouth open. It was such a good feeling, and a complete experience of WHAT VISUAL ART IS (And should be!!!!). As a good kpop fan, I swear to you, it's been YEARS since I've seen work so well done in the kpop industry. And look, kpop is known for being colorful, crazy and high quality, however, since the group named F(x), I had never seen so much creativity in a work. It was amazing. I hope that the company and the girls' crew close a contract for you to work with them on all their releases, and together, create a unique visual identity. Because honestly, I can't expect anything less, I have high expectations for their next releases and it's because of you! It was incredible, congratulations, and I wish you all the success.
Great insight into the production of the MV, we usually don't get this stuff with most MVs, actually this could very well be the first time I see this kind of stuff for a Kpop MV. It was very interesting. Also, it would have been very interesting to know why you were contacted in the first place to direct the MV, maybe the guy knew of your previous work, someone recommended you to him, etc. Hope you get to direct more MVs.
I should have included this point! But ill tell you: Jerry/Beats had seen a video I did with Token & JID called “Boom” and that was why he messaged! What’s pretty cool is, I’m making new videos with Token right now and he really loved this Macaroni Cheese project as well!
@@btproulx Awesome, man! Glad you're going back to work already. Thanks for taking the time to respond. The Macaroni Cheese is really fun and trippy, and all the reactions I've seen towards the MV itself have been very positive. You really nailed it!
I was actually confused why it's green screen in a kpop video when i saw the mv. Actually there's a mistake Andrew did, I can see the green screen edges to the ppl. I also noticed that the text at the start of the video wasn't 3D and not perfectly aligned. Except for those it's really good.
I just watched young posse’s mv and got this video in my recommendations! I thought the music video was so unique and interesting. It’s so cool seeing the process of it all 😍

I love learning the behind the scenes. It was such a fun music video!
Great job! Honestly hope you work again with them in the future 🎉 DSP Media could use more directors like you!
멋진 뮤직비디오 촬영에 감사드립니다!
잘보고 있어요:)
the way this group and song dropped with such an insane music video, with such a creative and fresh concept, really made more of an impact than a lot of other debuts do. your ideas were awesome, and it was so cool to see the final product! amazing work!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it this much, that makes me happy to hear 🙏🏼 Appreciate you!
I freaking love young posse they are sooooo good
Gracias por el excelente trabajo con Jung Posse
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE hahahhahah The video is iconic, and I have been sharing it with everyone in my life. One of my favorite debuts I've seen.
This was one of the most fun videos I've seen in a long time. I keep making other people watch it. Amazing work!
The mv and song is fire!!! I have a feeling they're going to blow up. I think this should open a lot more opportunities for you. CONGRATS!!!
ㅈㄴ 멋짐폭발 !!!!레알 최고!!!
I just watched young posse’s mv and got this video in my recommendations! I thought the music video was so unique and interesting. It’s so cool seeing the process of it all 😍
The airplane scene does look real. I was quite shocked to see green screen instead of a prop.
You nailed it....❤
I remember listening to this song and going to check my microwave when the microwave beep when off in the song haha
Art Director is a visual 😍
I'm late to the party, but gotta say you killed this video! The concept is so bizarre and fun. Well done
Thank You for sharing your experience. Your video is awesome and Young Posse is amazing. Great collaboration. I hope you get more chances to work on KPOP music videos. This was extremely well done.
YOU DID A GREAT JOB IN MAKING THE MV ❤
omg i loveeddddd how the mv was
i love the xxl mv so much i hope you’ll work with them again soon 🤍
Macaroni and Cheese is Migos Flow with a K pop Twist! Taking it to another level! I say that video was perfect timing!
i remember being in awe at how gorgeous the mv was when i first watched it---great video! love hearing about all the behind-the-scenes stuff :)
This is super cool! I've had the idea of a music video taking place in a microwave but never knew what it'd take to make it happen. You pulled it off plus so much more with this video, glad you made the most of the opportunity!
this is awesome, thanks for sharing the story and behind the scenes for the MV making ♥ cheers man! 🥂
