Hearing that this would be the last "real video" has brought me to tears. I'm going to miss this channel like crazy, and the group of friends and memories made along the way. I know you'll be successful with whatever you get up to after this Anthpo, but I think I speak for everyone when I say we'll miss this channel very very much. The Korean spoken is specifically a Seoul dialect, which is different from the Korean spoken in the DPRK. In the DPRK, although it's a Seoul dialect (that was the national standard for centuries before the division), it's very old-fashioned and now called the Pyongan dialect. The Seoul dialect has become more Western (includes English words) thanks to American influence, while the Pyongan dialect has been made purely Korean thanks to efforts from Kim Il-sung to eliminate loanwords from Russian, Japanese, and Chinese in the 1960s. When they choose to defect, those from the DPRK in the South have to attend a class so they can learn the modern Seoul dialect and fit in. Examples of differences: in South Korea, ice cream is 아이스크림 (ai-seu-keu-lim; sounding like the English way) while in the North, it's 얼음과자 (Ol-um-gwa-ja) which literally means "ice snack".
