I love Artie. We are all truly blessed that he didn't ultimately commit suicide. Blessed that he realized and confronted the demons haunting him. He has brought me and millions of others great joy as we toil at our daily jobs and lives. Thank you Artie. Thank you for being the fascinating and honest person you are.

Artie was always interesting to me . Because of him I listened to Stern way more than before he was on. And what made it worse for Artie was he was an addict with endless money. I'm always pullin for Artie 👍

Please dont judge this is a major problem all over the world and anyone can get into this even without knowing!!!!you only need one prescription to get stuck forever in this addiction!!

It's a real problem for him in that a huge part of his public persona is that of the druggy alcoholic-which is his strong selling point. Sadly this locks him into a straitjacket. It's sad because in listening to him over the years he's a talented comic and I suspect a very sensitive friendly person.

For everyone saying how terrible Artie looks here, your probably not fans of the Stern Show and you have probably never watched Howard TV. He actually looks and sounds pretty good in this appearance. Much better than his last year on Stern.

He's on an opiate. That's why he has the bent slow moving hand when reaching to the mic from the other hand and rubbing his face slowly. His voice slows out too sometimes.

Who cares? Im on methadone and probably scratch my face 1000 times a day. I dont give a fuck. Why do you? You should also know im a lawyer and have a bar card in more than one state and only was able to achieve that because im on methadone.
Artie is likely on vivitrol...you get a shot like twice a year and it effectively does what methadone, suboxone and subutex do, keep you from constantly craving opiates so you can function like a normal human being, apart from the scratching which i just learned people actually pay attention to. Im also constipated a lot but you cant see that. I sleep like a baby too. And im not looking you in the eye and carrying on an intelligent conversation while really thinking about my next score everytime you see me. Now im present.

How many second chances does Artie get? In his book the graphic descriptions of his playboy mansion gig and the near death episode are chilling and scary than anything I’ve read. And yet even after that he still went back to drugs. Now with a collapsed nose and more stints in rehab (Which do absolutely nothing for him) I worry about him since he’s been off the radar for four months and he’s a guy who doesn’t do well with isolation and stress. I think someone needs to check in with him.
