the most important think is do not go anywhere with strain. because your muscles will remember that and that does not make you improve anything... Go only where you are comfortable then repeat it milion times until you achieve next level....
Yes, because this exercise is strengthening both your mixed and you head voice. However, take it from someone who was taught this by her professional music teacher, don’t focus on the registers, just sing and make sure it’s not with strain.
Okay many days had passed when i started this and i had yet to develop my mix. The exercises didnt work because i didnt know what i was looking for so i searched on reddit instead and the one exercise that worked for me was to do a siren from my chest voice up till just above the break while still staying in chest and not switching to head voice and carefully listening to where my voice went. I let my voice naturally crack without straining while having support from my diaphrgm. Currently i can only practice scales in mix so i'm in the process of learning how to use mix in singing.
my mix is usually the strongest part of my voice but i have an audition in 2 days and for some reason it’s just disappeared :( so this is so helpful rn x
I'm gonna be doing these daily, thought I'd post little updates. My current range is about a E2 for my low note and a D#4 for my highest note in mixed voice (then I just let out a breathy falsetto sound). Hopefully some progress occurs. Day 1: Struggled with the last couple exercises but felt good after the warmup, could hit the D# note pretty well in mix and felt like I could hit an E4 or F4 sometimes in mix but only occasionally.
Hi folks. Thought I'd post a little update here. So around 6 months ago I started to have weekly vocal lessons and I can tell you that they above all things have probably contributed most to developing my voice. Whilst these exercises are great and are important, here are a few things I have learned. 1. Floor work is extremely important to be able to understand breath support. I strongly encourage floor work to improve your support and make singing less tense in places (especially if you feel tension). 2. In the beginning, it's important to not worry too much about making sounds that sound wildly off. The idea is to improve your resonance and timbre, and with that will come pitch control. 3. My range can go as low as a C#2 now, but that's the extremity. D#2 I am able to hit consistently on the low end. On the high end, I can't tell you how much vocal lessons have helped. My airy mix has nearly almost disappeared and I am able to hit notes I never thought possible. On the top end I can belt G4-A4 and I feel quite consistent with my pitch :) In a falsetto sense, I can touch notes as high as G5 now which I never thought possible. As my resonance and timbre has improved, so has my pitch and also my confidence. 4. One thing that has helped me certainly over the last few weeks in pitch control is trying to veer away from hearing the low end frequencies of a note. Like it's a little hard to describe, but I'm trying to avoid hearing the note by the vibrations, and I'm trying to hear it more as what it actually sounds like in a resonant sense. It's made an unbelievable difference. If anyone has any questions on that, let me know and I can try and explain it more in depth. All I can say is keep going with your singing. I'm 24 now and I feel a lot more confident over the past 6 months than I ever have done in terms of my singing. I performed at a show that my instructors put on, my first time on an actual stage singing in front of people, and that was a great way to gain more confidence and realise that everybody was on the same journey.
I’m gonna do this everyday until my singing competition START ~ Friday, 2 October 2020 ~ Day 1 : ✅ Done - my sound soooooooo dull (sad) Day 2 : ❌ Not Done ( i can't)
This channel makes miracles... I have began singing from february 2021 till now and in March I have seen this channel and now I can perfectly do vibratos, really fast riffs and runs (not lying, no cap, no printer) and my resonance (Daily resonance exercises) has improved so much that I can see the difference in my voice from before and after... I can transition from my chest voice to my mixed and head voice without my voice like.. frying in between transitioning. And now I feel that I can sing very well, I just need to do this for 4 more months or so and I'm going to become a very good singer if I don't give up :D I'll let you guys know when I'm number 1 on the charts hehehehe
And these exercises work! I started last June from 0 and now I’ve released my first song! So don’t give up, it’s gonna be hard but it’s worth the pain! :)
How did I miss this video? Well, here I am now. I would like to open my voice to sing "man's world". First, "reborn" then, learn to sing. But I start with this warmup.
It honestly is a biological thing. Length of vocal chords, proper support, healthy technique, and routine warm-ups. Also, drink tons of water, no caffeine, greasy food, or dairy. I'm a classically trained coloratura lyrical soprano. I have a range that goes super high. (My highest note I've hit so far is a G6, but I'm only 25, still in school for singing, so I not only have time, but I have more development in my voice as well.)
Great tool! It would be of great help to be able to see the scale displayed at the same time as the latter tunes are a little hard to follow for a novice. Thanks.
I go to performing arts school and im apart of the band, i never took lessons so im learning and will doing these everyday until get better and better!!!
Guys so mixed voice practice means that we start we chest if it is low then go to mix and then to head voice right? If the octave is high?? Plz respond!!
If you can try using both qualities up and down the scales. Mixed voice is just one of several voice types you can use, and is ideal for most songs. You can switch to head voice on something that’s too high but eventually you’ll find that you’ll be able to bring a chestier blend to your higher range as your voice gets stronger. You should technically always be able to used mixed voice in your lower range, otherwise you might be straining or over darkening your sound.
@Rease Mcgill sing as high as you can, try sustaining the notes and slowly push because this is for a mixed voice, you should be able to sqeeze into head voice and if you can’t sing higher with the head voice, try your whistle register and then if you can’t stop
hi! i'll update my journey on doing this exercise everyday for 2 months since there's barely anyone who's updating. i'm starting on august 9th, 2024. day 1: ✅ was pretty easy except 6:15 day 2: ✅ day 3: ❌ i was rlly demotivated throughout the day day 4: ✅ i feel like i'm slowly getting better at doing the exercises, however my mom came in my room during the last exercise so i couldn't do that one lol day 5: ✅ my voice sounds better while doing the exercises day 6: ✅ i had a cough but i did it regardless day 7: ❌ i woke up late lol day 8: ✅ i did not do the whole thing but i'd still count it as progress okay so i went through a depressive period worth a few days. So i took a break from all the activies for those days to gain back motivation. I'm back now and i'll start from tomorrow morning.
THANK YOU INFINITELY TO @JACOBS VOCAL ACADEMY AND TO EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING WHO HELPED SHARE AND CREATE THIS WONDERFUL DIVINE CONTENT! INFINITE LOVE TO ALL! HAREKRISHNA.GODBLESS :)
Another solid exercise. Which of your videos would you recommend to warm up on before a vocal performance? Meaning 3 sets, 32 songs, 4 hours, in a smoky bar. Would love to do all I can to reduce the repair time my throat needs after a gig. Usually takes about 4 days singing rock and Metal. Thanks.
Hey tip if you don’t sound the same while recording add articulation exercise it really helping me you’ll see improvement even that one day but articulation make your voice sound so so clear
@Oink Logs I don’t know how articulation exercise works but these exercise. Help you sound more clearer in singing and makes your voice smooth I remember a while back I was just doing the daily exercise from here and I was like why is my voice still you know bad so couple months later I added articulation and breathing exercises and saw good progress
@Oink Logs sure Breathing exercise 8mins Vocal warm up 5mins Articulation 15mins Mixed voice Chest voice Low notes Head voice High notes And vocal dynamics I don’t do them all at once though I do half at 12 and then I let my voice rest so it won’t strain and get damage then I do the rest later
I started doing this about a week ago because my singing coach was complaining that my mix was weak to non existent yesterday I had performance and it suddenly started to open up this morning in rehearsel it blew open maybe it is just temporary because of a combination of adrenaline alcohol and smoking or I am understanding something that eluded me previously
I'm in a touring band and we warm up to these exercises in van for an hour. Helps tremendously.

Ok WHY did that escalate so suddenly 💀
How did I miss this video? Well, here I am now. I would like to open my voice to sing "man's world". First, "reborn" then, learn to sing. But I start with this warmup.
Some other sounds to use for the last exercise: Gug / Go / Lip Rolls / Nay / Nya
Guys these really helps never lose hope and keep doing and never miss your warm up love you 😍
i thought i had a pretty high voice... how can anyone hit those notes at the top
I can😂 though because I haven’t sang since March it sounds like screeching 🤣
It honestly is a biological thing. Length of vocal chords, proper support, healthy technique, and routine warm-ups. Also, drink tons of water, no caffeine, greasy food, or dairy. I'm a classically trained coloratura lyrical soprano. I have a range that goes super high. (My highest note I've hit so far is a G6, but I'm only 25, still in school for singing, so I not only have time, but I have more development in my voice as well.)
@@cheyennadennison375Disagree that it’s a biological thing. Anyone can hit high notes with proper training.
@@isabellanariah5156show off. You’re not the the only one, I can too
This is my first time doing this one it’s way more fun then the chest voice =)
You all just have to remember that no one sounds good during their warm up

AHAHAHAHA i made the mistake of listening to that with water in my mouth. spat it out, needless to say
OMG NOOOOOOOOO HHAHAHAHHHAH
Some different scales here, love the lesson. Also some soprano notes which I am improving on more and more. Thank you very much.
Great tool! It would be of great help to be able to see the scale displayed at the same time as the latter tunes are a little hard to follow for a novice. Thanks.
Thank you so much for this vocal warm up it was just what I needed!
@Rease Mcgill sing as high as you can, try sustaining the notes and slowly push because this is for a mixed voice, you should be able to sqeeze into head voice and if you can’t sing higher with the head voice, try your whistle register and then if you can’t stop
hi! i'll update my journey on doing this exercise everyday for 2 months since there's barely anyone who's updating. i'm starting on august 9th, 2024.
day 1: ✅ was pretty easy except 6:15
day 2: ✅
day 3: ❌ i was rlly demotivated throughout the day
day 4: ✅ i feel like i'm slowly getting better at doing the exercises, however my mom came in my room during the last exercise so i couldn't do that one lol
day 5: ✅ my voice sounds better while doing the exercises
day 6: ✅ i had a cough but i did it regardless
day 7: ❌ i woke up late lol
day 8: ✅ i did not do the whole thing but i'd still count it as progress
okay so i went through a depressive period worth a few days. So i took a break from all the activies for those days to gain back motivation. I'm back now and i'll start from tomorrow morning.
Your videos are helping me really well. It's been 3 weeks
Thanks.
I’ll advise you to get a vocal teacher or purchase one online
Me too,From Thailand. 😁😁
Realizing there’s nothing wrong with being an alto 😂😂
I’m a coloratura soprano, so I’ve got no excuse I’m just lazy😂😂
I SERIOUSLY ENVY ALTOS
@@amylopez8547 high notes are so hard for us. I envy Sopranos (I'm a contralto) 😂
What's alto?
(Sorry I'm only 11)

Hey tip if you don’t sound the same while recording add articulation exercise it really helping me you’ll see improvement even that one day but articulation make your voice sound so so clear
@Oink Logs I don’t know how articulation exercise works but these exercise. Help you sound more clearer in singing and makes your voice smooth I remember a while back I was just doing the daily exercise from here and I was like why is my voice still you know bad so couple months later I added articulation and breathing exercises and saw good progress
@Oink Logs sure
Breathing exercise 8mins
Vocal warm up 5mins
Articulation 15mins
Mixed voice
Chest voice
Low notes
Head voice
High notes
And vocal dynamics
I don’t do them all at once though I do half at 12 and then I let my voice rest so it won’t strain and get damage then I do the rest later
@Oink Logs yea but for massive improvement I try to do it everyday
Thank you
I started doing this about a week ago because my singing coach was complaining that my mix was weak to non existent
yesterday I had performance and it suddenly started to open up
this morning in rehearsel it blew open
maybe it is just temporary because of a combination of adrenaline alcohol and smoking
or I am understanding something that eluded me previously
I'm a senior in high school, and due to puberty, my voice cracks when transitioning from chest voice to head voice or falsetto
Same:) I'm a freshman girl
if u drink gone off milk it speeds up the process of puberty
