Most of these dresses are too revealing and inappropriate for a high schooler. This trend is disturbing for other reasons as well. Too much money is being spent on these outfits. Unless you have at least $200,000 in a college fund for each of your children, you have no business splurging on this mess. Priorities.

I’m 57 and I was surprised to see so many young women dressed in Black this Prom season. Black is such a Mature choice and back in the days of My Prom, a Black Prom dress would not have been an option . That just goes to show how much times and fashion has evolved since then. Everyone looks very nice, I Pray Everyone in the class of 2024 has a Safe, Happy and Memorable Prom & Graduation experience. God Bless You All ❤🙏🏾
The majority of these were absolutely beautiful. These parents went all out for their children prom. I just pray that they don't forget that after the prom you still got to live. We went all out for our girls and their prom but we had a limit and stuck to it. But to each it owns they made sure their children were on point. ❤❤❤❤❤
Their wedding is another time some families go way too far. You have to set a budget and stick to it. There is always oh well we didn’t budget for this or this but let’s do it anyway and bam there went the budget. Set a soft limit and try to stay under it and then a hard limit where you won’t go over that limit. Try for the soft limit but say you’re done at the hard limit. It can be done like you said. It can still be awesome and not put the family into hardship.

Nice photos. We all know that many of these folks don't live the lifestyles that are depicted in these pictures. The parents are definitely teaching their children to live a very materialistic lifestyle. Many will only chase the dream and never accomplish it.
I literally saw the Reddress on Canal Street in person it was stunning. We didn't even know it was prom until we saw all the photo shoots going down it was so creative! We were there for Jazz Fest.
I'm really proud of all the kids graduating! I love the creativity of the designers! I respect the choices of how people celebrate prom. I'm Black and I embrace the culture! No one is criticizing other racial groups when they have big celebrations! 🖤 I don't even invite most of my hating relatives to events because their envious of what I choose to give my child.

They are very successful and I don’t think it was a strain on them financially. IMO it’s all too much😅It’s their money and their child but these gowns rival wedding and award show red carpet gowns so when it’s time to get your wedding dress then what🤷🏽♀️You’ve already gone over the top so there’s nothing left to do.😅My daughter graduated in 2O20 and her dress and accessories budget was $500.😅Hair nails, etc.,was a couple hundred more. My father had a brand new luxury car, so I saved a few coins not having to rent a one. WHEW!! She finished college and got married in 2021 without a penny being owed. Saving and preparation are key. ❤️☮️🙏🏿🙏🏿
