@@ctleung168 cheap labor that's why. Innovation is done by Apple. I haven't seen any new groundbreaking technology yet from China. Even the Covid 19 (you know the virus escaping from the lab in Wuhan) vaccine from China is old technology, unlike Moderna or AstraZeneca. Isn't that something to think about... Mind you the Chinese are very smart people and eventually they will take leadership in innovation but they are not there yet. The presented technology in this video is not invented by China, western companies have. This is logical because in the west labor cost were traditionally much higher, but China's labor rates are increasing every year making technology pull from the market bigger.

15 years ago, I have visited one of the factory in Nagoya Japan. Their ware house and store have been running with those similar robotic methods. That time those AGV or robotics are still very expensive to purchase till China copy, developed them self and sale it at much cheaper price. Now a day every factory can afford to own it. It's really cut allot of labour cost and increased its delivery efficiency.

No, robots didn't take your job away, but the employer too it back.
The robots had no consciousness and no choice. It's the profit driven capitalists who make people jobless.
Imagine if you the workers own the business, wouldn't you want to use robots to make your own job easier, giving yourself more time with leisure and family?
The problem is capitalism, and the solution is socialism. But of course, most Americans are too brain washed to think of this clearly.

Robots would cause absolutely no problems at all IF it was made financially worthwhile for people to start sharing the jobs we actually NEED people to do and then be able to enjoy working ever increasingly LESS thanks to the robots. There is no such thing as a shortage of jobs, there is only a shortage of people sharing the work.

    • @gbat2479

@@gbat2479, unfortunately, you cannot simply reduce the workweek hours .... the job doesn't get done....in general people could ONLY ever get to enjoying working less by actually sharing the jobs.

Ideally we should be freed to do whatever we most desire to do without worrying about how to feed, cloth and house ourselves.
We could choose to create more jobs than we can handle by dismantling efficiencies we've gotten used to. Outlaw running water in pipes and create millions of jobs drawing and moving water. Outlaw cars to create millions of jobs for horse handlers. Outlaw computers and typewriters to create millions of scrivener jobs. Outlaw telephones and create millions of messenger jobs.
