90 percent of this is Tokyo and most is accurate. Lived here for years you take the normal train just like everyone else and you don't sleep at work lol
Michael Thomas I grew up just north of Tokyo and I know it wasn't encouraged but was allowed. Same with my school they never got angry when kids fell asleep
Could be because your a gaijin but everywhere town/city is different but where I grew up if you fell asleep at school it shows that you were studying till late last night
I feel like japan is more alive than the rest of the world, because they a find a solution for any problem no matter how small it is instead of living with it
In fact, tissues are given for free on the streets because it's an intelligent way of advertising. Instead of giving you a flyer, the company will give you a pack of tissues with a small advertisement attached. This way you won't throw it away after you take the corner.
Delux - Why on earth would you care? After all, even F-1 cars are hybrids now, as are many top of the line supercars from makers like Ferrari and Porsche.
My mom is the best When it's my mom day off ( Thursday) She lets us go to the mall and play in the Apple Store. When the mall closes she buys churros or pretzels when it closes. How nice is your mom??
my mum gave me puppies, and every month we go to a resort and a park my mum also gives us whatever we want when she gets her money on her payday. she also works very hard for us and allows us too play with friends and our computers after school. btw she homeschooled us. she's the best mum ever!
You all miss the point why there are vending machines aplenty in Japan. Vending machines in USA or any country in the west are located mostly in the shops. If there are any outside, they are right outside the shop door or within eye-sight. In Japan, vending machines are even on the street corners far away from shops. The reason is, it is safe to locate vending machine anywhere in Japan. Vendors know that nobody will vandalize them. In other countries, people vandalize and steal, and vendors know that.
Kiera Pozzobon yep it is all over in my country too. And i went to one that is located in London. But the first cat cafe opened in Japan. Others just copied it.
Kiera Pozzobon cats have always been a symbol of good luck in Japan, especially black cats which is why cat cafés where listed here above any other country. Double the luck and a good cup of coffee or snacks ^-^
I'm a 28year old Canadian from Vancouver. I neaver witnessed or heard of such items. Why not try it here. Good place to test Japanese items on a western landscape.
#7 free tissue. You were wrong. It's about advertising. But also because there are no toilet paper in public bathrooms everyone is happy to take them. Win/win
Actually about the napping part, you're wrong. The napped is looked well upon because it signifies you're a hard worker. It is better for a dozy worker to take a power nap and get refreshed and be able to work properly again than to be tired and make mistakes which can be as simple as putting in numbers in correctly to as drastic as accidentally lose some fingers or worse in a machine.
You can buy toilet seats like the one in the video my friend has one, as she has ms and struggles. You can also get ones with Bluetooth so you can play music while on them.
A little town just east of Albuquerque, New Mexico (Tijeras) also has a musical road. It is on Route 66, and plays the song "America the Beautiful". The project was funded by the National Geographic Society, and was installed in 2014.
#10: In Finland, especially with high quality taxi services (which still have same price as others), the taxi driver will come and open the door for you and help your luggage to the trunk instead of just sitting in the car and waiting for you to manage. That's called service.
For #7 the hand tissues, they are actually used note for marketing because they believe that more people will use the throwaway tissues and see the add for the company. Many times people have handkerchiefs and/or small hand towels on them because not all restrooms have paper towel or air hand dryers. :)
Been living in Japan for two years and haven't seen a couple of these. The tissues being passed are are advertisements for businesses. And several of them are found commonly in many other countries I've visited.
My friend from Chitral, Pakistan told me about the Kotatsu thing, they call it by another name but the same function, and they use coal instead of electrical heater...
You're wrong about the toilet seat cover. It has made its way into other countries. It also isn't a Japanese specific item. Growing up my best friend was South Korean and her family had those toilet seat covers installed in their bathrooms, in America.
Yeah just one thing about Number 2 (vending machines with french fries/boiled eggs), you don't really see these any more in Japan. Sometimes you'll come by one in a rural station or a desolate highway rest area, but for example I've never seen one in Tokyo, at least central Tokyo (they do sell hot soup in a can and maybe they have wacky vending machines in Akihabara). Food vending machines comes from the times when there were less conv. stores and not much of them did 24h And plus, these food that come from vending machines are really small in quantity and the taste isn't that good, plus not cheap. You should just go to a convenience store for better food. People use this thing for pure nostalgia nowadays.
point number 7 the reason stated is wrong this is done as an advertisement of a product or a service as all the tissue paper packets have an advertisement wrapped over it
if u dont live in chicago or have never had to park in chicago u have to pay to park every where or u will be towed immediately they have ppl praying on your car waiting for u to leave the parking lot and the fine is a minimum $250 ppl have literally died over this and they just keep raising the price of the fine every year it used to be $49
Number 12 has an incorrect statement. Musical roads are also in Denmark, South Korea, the United States of America, China, San Marino, Taiwan and Ukraine.
It's actually just for beer or alcoholic beverages. You can actually tell in the video the cans he's showing say "おさけ" in braille. Aka Osake, aka Alcohol. Not all beers have this since it's not legally binding but most of them feature this.
Doing maintenance, calling the repair guy to fix it and buying expensive spare parts for a toilet? I already know that is something I don't want to do.
We have cat cafe and bunny cafe in finland, too. If I remember correctly, we might have owl cafe, too. Oh and the sleeping at job? Some people in japan work 60-100 hours per week. They might actually die from exhaustion if they don't sleep ;-;
@@FactsVerse Nope, we have couches and recliners in the quiet room for when it's needed on rare occasion. However he snores so maybe it's best that he zonks in the end stall.
The gas stations? Probably only a quarter of all stations have that set up, the rest are standard pumps. Should have mentioned the fact that about 90% of all gas stations are still full service instead.
Anything from Japan is amazing, love the country and their discipline of life.
I loved the vending machines when I went to Tokyo! So awesome!
Nice
ENDLESS BUBBLEWRAP I NEED IT NOW!

Chicago needs more compact parking spaces.

Pray for me,I want to go to Japan
I respect and like the government of Japan. They actually care about developing the country and not money for them selves
Watching while on toilet seat (as we all do) : "I could use one of those!"
Every country should have those parking system, vending machines and the high tech toilet.
Ummm, are they aware that there cat cafes outside of Japan? I live in Ottawa, and there is one that is only like a 15 minute drive from my house.
Kiera Pozzobon yep it is all over in my country too. And i went to one that is located in London. But the first cat cafe opened in Japan. Others just copied it.

Yeah. They added one in Houston. I've never went though
I love Japan.
I love Japanese products
Giving out free tissue doesn't mean to stop viruses and bacteria, it was a form of advertising a company. Like restaurant or a game.
Japan is already living in 2050

What do you mean the world needs? Japan already has it!
Jr Eds y do u need to help keep the world clean when someone already doing it
Jr Eds what do expect from an American? They have no idea that most 1 world countries are waaaay ahead of them in most things.

I would definitely take the spa train that sounds so relaxing. I wish Amtack did that with their trains. Such s the California Zephyr.

6:43 and then immediately skyrocket because everyone would finally be getting the rest they need.
What we really need is, asian girlfriend vending machines, especially with japanese girls.
#7 Simply advertisements that people won't throw away right away
Dang. Those Japanese be smart.
1:17-1:20 isn´t a Japan thing, it´s at the "Autostadt" in Germany, Wolfsburg and this is one of the two cartowers there^^
For #7 the hand tissues, they are actually used note for marketing because they believe that more people will use the throwaway tissues and see the add for the company. Cat cafés are also in the Netherlands
Gameverslaaft and China
+김하늘 Cat restaurants in Chaina? :)
Zenislav Chinese don't eat cats, you're confused with vietnamese people
Last one was awesome
They also have bicycle garages
One of the main reasons for the tissues is because lots of toilets DON'T have toilet paper. If someone offers you tissue on the street, ACCEPT IT.
I bought one of those bubble wrap keychains. I didn't think much of them. I much rather pop real bubble wrap.
I've seen truck stops in New Jersey where the pumps are above the truck and vertical parking in New York City.
I actually tried the last one yesterday at work. Ate within 5 minutes, slept for the rest of my break
Been living in Japan for two years and haven't seen a couple of these. The tissues being passed are are advertisements for businesses. And several of them are found commonly in many other countries I've visited.
Anyone going to Japan with Me?
My friend from Chitral, Pakistan told me about the Kotatsu thing, they call it by another name but the same function, and they use coal instead of electrical heater...
Another, better way to avoid work stress is not to work.
Also, we have musical drive lanes in Bulgaria, so its not Japan exclusive as he said.
just a reminder hardly ANYONE drives in more populated parts of japan. like, literally everyone goes by train
You're wrong about the toilet seat cover. It has made its way into other countries. It also isn't a Japanese specific item. Growing up my best friend was South Korean and her family had those toilet seat covers installed in their bathrooms, in America.

That parking building looks exactly like the parking building in mission impossible
The one with all the floors on top of eachother
I want 13 and 16 the most
Yes a car to hold your bag

Number 12 has an incorrect statement. Musical roads are also in Denmark, South Korea, the United States of America, China, San Marino, Taiwan and Ukraine.
Why does America refuse to adapt these efficient ideas?
They have this kind of parking in Manhattan
ugh noooo to the communal foot bath! But the other things are pretty awesome
The capsule hotel is very very very useful, I thought about it a lot, and if i had money I would do it.
Number 4 is definitely NOT true. Just looked at all the cans I brought from Japan and none had the braille.
It's actually just for beer or alcoholic beverages. You can actually tell in the video the cans he's showing say "おさけ" in braille. Aka Osake, aka Alcohol. Not all beers have this since it's not legally binding but most of them feature this.
There's a toilet like that and cat cafes in Thailand too
16# I feel so sorry for them sleeping at work. It's about how long you're at work not what you get done!
Doing maintenance, calling the repair guy to fix it and buying expensive spare parts for a toilet? I already know that is something I don't want to do.

We have cat cafe and bunny cafe in finland, too. If I remember correctly, we might have owl cafe, too.
Oh and the sleeping at job? Some people in japan work 60-100 hours per week. They might actually die from exhaustion if they don't sleep ;-;
I live in India and in my city hyderabad we have a petrol pump where the gas tank is above and the pipe comes from the ceiling
My boss does the sleep at work thing, unfortunately it's while he's on the toilet :(
Do you do the same, wok?
