Another great video Gary - thanks for posting - it was a great weekend. 642 suffered a traction motor failure which, after eighteen months of inactivity, can't be too suprising but could have happened to any of the cars. As for repairs, Blackpool have plenty of spare traction motors &, if Bryan gets our continued support, 642 could well still be running in the years to come, not to mention a few other "treats" he may have planned in his mind - so let's give him all the support we can.
It was a pleasure to meet you David, and look forward to seeing your video. Its also good to see a lot of familiar faces on these weekends which makes the heritage trips even more enjoyable. Thanks for watching and your kind comments David.
Fantastic video which captures the variety of rolling stock out there - thanks for sharing, I was riding 642 for at least one round trip so may well have been on whilst you were filming. Loved the bit with the horse running away and the goat coming to watch!
Thank you for watching and your kind comments Fred. It certainly was an enjoyable weekend with plenty of interest. I have to say not only credit goes to Bryan Lindop but to the trams crews who make the whole experience of traveling on the heritage an enjoyable one.
It just gets better and better, i thought that 2011 was going to mean an end to the Blackpool Tramway as we knew it. But now I believe that its back and its better than before (no idea what is going to happen and what type of tram going to turn up). Great video and look forward to the next one
I think it is some sort of display board for advertising. Yes I have heard about 602 which is good news and something to look forward to. Thanks for your kind comments Jonathan.
Yes you are quite right, this is the second time a Centenary has broke down. 648 broke down on its first day in heritage service last year. Thanks for watching and your very kind comments Doctortrek1.
There was a good variety of trams out over the bank holiday, obviously Brian has taken onboard what enthusiasts have said in the past. Centenary 642 sounded like it had a bit of a roar about it. Lets hope it is repaired and back in the heritage fleet where it belongs. Thanks for watching and your kind comments srpott40.
It was a good bank holiday for variety of trams, it just a shame the Centenary broke down later on. Lets hope 642 makes a return to service. Thanks for watching and your very kind comments Eric Howard.
With the wonderful Stephen "The Stig" Gray on the handles and Bradley Jones asleep, not to mention Alan Kirkman, Mark Whitehead ,Rob Bray and of course Philip Porter with his virtuoso act on the handles. AND the camera survived after filming me!!
I knew 642 wouldn't complete a ful days work as it struggled to take power a few times on the journey to Fleetwood plus the Centenary cars were always unreliable. I never thought I would miss the "crying baby" noise of the Centenary cars, certainly brought back memories of the good old days! I was sat upstairs at the front of 723 when the motorist blocked the tramway in North Albert Street. Proves the delays to traffic in Fleetwood cannot be blamed on the trams!
I'm surprised 642 blew up, after sitting around for 18 months doing nothing. Lets hope they repair it and its back on heritage again. Thanks for watching Ashtramcrazy.
I think you might be struggling with Paul Gaunt 646 reappearing as this was scrapped around 6 or 7 months ago at Recycling for Lives. Thanks for watching Brazil2044.
Lets hope 642 is backup and running again. 642 did sound good on the Sunday and sounded louder on one end which may have been a sign of a traction motor failure. Looking back at the footage the loud end was the end that failed. Bryan definitely has my support, but unfortunately there are still a few that refuse to support the heritage, which is a shame because they will probably be the first to complain when they are gone.
I was on the journey Late May Bank Holiday, where the car was blocking the road, I was sat upstairs, then when it came back out, another car had done the same
It strange how drivers don't seem to know the meaning of zig zags at crossings, or they are just too bone idel to park els where. Thanks for watching Andrew Wardman.

just found these on You Tube, thanks for sharing. I was there both weekends and it was excellent.
Thanks for your very kind comments Bradley.
Nice to see familiar faces on the heritage tours, makes them even more enjoyable.
Long may it continue.

Thank you girl with the golden hair.
The one I've been waiting for and I'm not dissapointed. Great record, thanks as always Gary for sharing.
It was nice to hear the sweep sound again on a Centenary car.
Thanks for your kind comment King Hommann.
Love it from USA !! Thanks !!

Nice one Gary, I like the ride back from Fleetwood on 600, you managed to get me in shot twice and even my car as well.
Thanks for watching and your kind comments Steve.
