I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

Before my grandfather passed, he went through a bad case of vertigo and could no longer play golf. My dad brought two sets of clubs home from him when my grandparents moved. Including an original 2Ball. Still use it to this day. Still has his old address tape around the shaft under the grip, which I just had regripped yesterday, I'm glad they left it on. He is the reason I love golf so much, I don't think I can ever change from it.

I got my 2 ball at a yard sale for $15 with a head cover. It was mint and I still use it five years later. Tried several other in that time ( even a Scotty ) but still go back to the old 2 ball. Love it!
Just watched this video after watching Michael Block use his two ball putter last week at the pga championship oak hill. Just bought one off eBay really good condition for $70. Can’t wait for it to arrive
When I was a junior golfer back in the 80’s , the putter of choice was a Ping. I had both the Anser & Pal..... still have them today although I have an Odyssey in the bag at the moment 😃⛳️
My junior days in late 70’s and early 80’s, I used Lynx blade. I lost it sometime ago. Hopefully I can find one somewhere.
My juniors was 80-90. I used a topflite in the 80’s and I ended up winning a Odyssey and I used that for over 25 years until I bought a Taylormade Spyder 2 years ago.
I jst picked up (another Ping Anser 2) in mint condition. The guy had it ever since when he lived in Phoenix. Only reason he was selling was old age and hip going out. I love Odyssey putters and have a collection of them that I use. But the Ping Anser 2 will always me my Reference Putter that I like to calibrate my stroke to...then I take whichever I like and feel confident and dialed it down.
Just checked the Bank of England inflation calculator (yes, I’m that much of a geeky pedant) and £130 in 2001 equates to about £210-220 now, so the pricing with the steel shaft is pretty much spot on... Nice looking putter too 😎
Glad I'm not the only one who thought that lol - and things cost more on top of inflation as well so really not that much difference in price point at all
Funny how this has just come out the day after I’ve purchased this old one yesterday. Wanted it for maybe 17/18yrs and finally got back into golf so purchased it. £50 on eBay and it looks in mint condition.
Me too. Mine has a small dent on the face, but it was only $20 here in Southern California, dent not on the sweet spot, so its workable. I am loving it
Similar situation here. Spent about $100 aud on an original 2 ball. Mint condition but has a fat grip installed. Still trying to decide if I like that configuration

Got the original one as a gift when they first came out. First putt was 30 footer- center cut! It has never left my bag.
I've been stuck in my managed isolation hotel in NZ for the last 2 weeks putting into a coffee mug with my original No4. :)
BTW, there's a right to left break from the coffee table to the wall with the AC control on it.
I use my Evnroll and it does wonders for me. I think more than the putter its the person using it that needs the confidence and comfort knowing how to use it.
I still have my original 2-ball. From the moment I picked it up, I knew it was for me. It transformed my game and I can't see me ever changing it.
I have a one of these second hand use it all the time, love it, not the prettiest or shiniest but simple enough to where I don't think about it when I use it.
I love it when Rick talks about what he did/had when he is around my age
Had my white hot 2 ball for 14 years, I feel so confident with it, alignment is instant and the feel is better than any other putter I've tried. Confidence is everything and it fills me with it each and every time.
Still using the 2-ball my dad bought me back in 2006, and I’m not planning on changing it! Just swapped it back from a SS Fatso 5.0 grip to a standard Odyssey grip and got much more feel again
Just a note, if you take inflation into account, that £130 pounds in 2001 is worth about £220 in 2020, so it’s not as bad as you might think! Anyways, great video as always Rick!
Just started six month ago really. Always played with a very old Taylor made white smoke. I didn't realize how bad it was, until I started looking for something new. Out of all the ones I've tested. I'm going to go for an Odyssey two ball, stroke lab fang putter. Soft feel and easy to line up. It gives me so much more confidence.
I would definitely go for an old one, price are increasing crazy. I haven't try an Odyssey yet but that on my list for 2021!

I still play my original two ball I got in high-school 2003. I just put a new grip on it for the upcoming season:-) can't wait until the weather starts warming up!

I just put in my custom order for the OG 7S! It was a tough choice between the two, ut I went with the 7 since I swung it a little smoother and like the look more. Both are great though. The other contender was a Mizuno M Craft 6, but they don't have an option to order with an oversized grip, so I didn't feel like paying for a $300 putter and then also springing extra for a regrip on a brand new club

Probably thinks of the theory that you should be hitting your putt at a weight that would take the ball 18inches past the hole but naturally hoping the ball goes in.

I have an old 2 ball putter that I use personally but it has a completely strait shaft without any bends in it I’ve never seen another one like it. Hands down is my favorite putter though from the ones I’ve tried
Great!!! I still have old 2 ball putter. Just recently I changed grip to “fat” grip and cut shaft from 35 to 33. I am glad I didn’t throw away!!!
I love my 2 Ball Putter. I’ve been using it for about 3 years now. I’ve tried a few different putters on practice green that are way more expensive $180 and up and none of them have the same feel as my Odyssey. I love watching your videos keep up the good work. Where are you located?

I managed to get one last Saturday. £25 and it was immaculate. Played on Sunday and fell in love with it. Thanks Rick for the heads up. I feel so confident now with this beauty.

Ive used the Odyssey Pro Type Milled 2-ball for over 10 years. I love it. I have an original that I used for the 10 years before that. Fantastic Putter!
I own a Hogan Radar Putter rare 35" RH Face Balanced Mallet, bought second hand in 1978 in NY. Worked wonderfully all these years. Now I'm having it re-shafted, just for the kicks...

I was able to find, years ago, a brand new White Hot XG, still wrapped up from the factory on eBay for $35 with free shipping. I snatched that right up and it's been in my bag ever since.
My grandmother got me one of these when I was 7-8... Won 2 golf leagues in elementary with it. I still use it to this day

I just brought one of these on the second hand market for an absolute steal. In Immaculate condition for $120 Australian they are selling on the secondhand market down here for between $220 to $280.
I had a belly 2 ball putter that I cut down, put a SS grip on it and I now play. Love the heavy feel it has.
I got one for my 18th in 2002 and it was £129. I still have it today and sentimental value aside I would never get rid of it! I remember first seeing it and it was so different to anything else on the market.

I have had a ping anser in copper since I started but treated myself through lock down to the Cleveland frontline putter, the tungsten weighting in the face just makes it feel more stable, I love it, great video G init bro haha 👍🏻🏌🏻♂️
I would have guessed the Rossie & Rossie II were out before the 2-ball, & made mallets fashionable again, but I can't exactly remember which debuted first.
I found a 2001 2-ball at a local shop for only $20. The owner put some weird weight tape that was taken off but still left an ugly look on the bottom and they also drew a silly line in sharpie across the 2 balls...but I'm in love. The white hot face is still in excellent shape. What a steal!

i bought mine just before the November lockdown used - in black with an oversized grip. tried it out twice on the course and its AMAZING !
I have a Odyssey White Hot 2Ball Blade putter with the black line done the center ...this model with the black line , is darn near impossible to find these days ...will never give it up..Currently though ..I use a Scotty Cameron ,center shafted, Futura 5s putter ( bought it on sale with a free round of golf thrown in ) My 3rd putter is a Odyssey O-works 7s ..wont give that up either . the best putter is the 1 that feels the best to you. I've been thru over 20 putters ,trying to find that " magic wand" ....these are my Top 3
I have an OG OG in my bag. No idea where I got it but probably picked it up at a garage sale when I was a kid. Love using it.
The 6 hole challenge you did I noticed couple of the putts come up short was that anything do with the new putter being that little bit softer or you just not hitting them. Love the channel Mr Shiels 👍🏌️♂️⛳

Purchased the original back in 2001 and have never looked back. I did add a stripe, the same as Julie Inkster. I couldn’t imagine a better putter.
I have the Odyssey Work (not O Works) 2 Ball Fang Tank with the mesh insert on the white hot face. I love it. The mesh did inevitably fall out, but some super glue fixed that right up. Hard to complain about such a great putter, ESPECIALLY given the fact that I paid $5 for it!
I use the original original White Hot 2-Ball putter, i have only been playing for about 2 years and picked it up from a second hand shop for £25. Since then I have fitted a Super Stroke Fatso 5.0 grip and painted the mallet matt black keeping the face and circles white but drew a line on top... love it... can't see me ever changing my putter!
Very interesting to take a look at Dave Pelz original 3 BALL putter, I saw it being used in 1986 Open. With a plastic face it had 3 golf balls behind a plastic face. Pelz putter originated about 5 years before Odyssey's start up and 9 years before Callaway bought them.
This is a lot like the nostalgic demand for analog synthesizers.

Started playing ten years ago brought an original 2ball just by looking on ebay for a putter no idea what I was doing, but it's still in my bag today only club to have never been changed.
I have putter like that still in use, bought it maybe 19 years ago, still works. No need to change.
I have the original 2 ball and it is just an iconic putter. To this day with all the tech etc... it still sets up and performs excellent.
Just picked up my first every mallet putter and of course its the original 2001 2-ball. Got it a thrift store for $6 in practically mint condition, I'm over the moon about this putter!!
I have an Odyssey White Hot RX 2 ball and I LOVE it.
My wife still uses her Odyssey White Ice version of this 2-ball putter today. Not gonna lie, I've stolen it a couple times to use myself because of how great it rolls. Great little putter.
I am a guy who has used a lot of putters Yes, Scotty, TM Rosa but I have always loved tge Two Ball and habe the OG in my bag. Great Video Rick

I have an original 2 ball that I bought in 2001. I've tried a few others over the years but I kept coming back to the 2 ball and it's still in my bag.
I have always maintained that if you can putt, you will do so with any make / style of putter no matter what the cost. However, if you can't putt, then no matter how much you spend on one, it will not improve the result. So before you splash out hundreds of pounds / dollars, just spend some time with your local professional, or with a buddy who can putt. There is a greater selection of putters on the market, than any other club, and they are all saying "buy me", I will sink more putts. Sure some of them may assist in alignment, but surely that's only a matter of technique and can be easily learnt on any other putter. The putter and the driver go hand in hand, in so far as that each time you address the ball, you are imagining it being in the middle of the fairway, or vanishing into the hole. Remember this, it's never the putters fault if the ball doesn't go in the hole!

Still gaming my centre shaft 2-ball putter. I put a SuperStroke grip on it a couple years ago. Still love the feel and putt well with it - no reason to change.

I still carry my 2-ball putter... been doing so for the last 20 years and have no plans to remove it off my bag. And this review pretty much tells why.
I'm still rocking the og white hot blade. Got it when it first came out and has never left the bag. The face insert just gives me the feedback I love.
OG does stand for original gangster but its become more of a colloquialism for 'old school' or original in general
I picked up an older Odyssey White Hot #5 a few months ago in the US for about $40 I love it, it has great feel to it and don't feel the need for a newer putter at all. Love the retro look though.
Some folks have made fun of me, but I am bulletproof with my Triball putter. Using since 2006!
Yeah over the last couple of years I have went back to my original white hot no. 5. Never knew why I ever changed it just love the feel of the face.
I bought the Odyssey white hot pro 7 version brand new this summer and I absolutely love it.
Rick, put it in the bag for 2021!! I bet you make more putts. My dad still uses one and loves it. IMO Best putter ever made is the 2001 Titleist Tei3 Scotty Cameron Newport 1. Mine's been in the bag for almost 20 years.
So funny, I just bought an original one yesterday for $55.00! I love the retro look, it screams art deco! And when I saw you putt a gimme on the first putt, and drained it on the second putt I was sold!!!!
I got a 2 ball on Gumtree for £20 last year. Re gripped it and I dont think i'll ever need anouther putter. Looks great, can line up well and feels good off the face

I used to have the rossie loved the feel of that putter upgraded to a Odyssey strokes lab double wide few months ago and I love the feel of that too Odyssey have never let me down

I had a few if those.. BUT.. I remember I added a black line on the two balls.. I found that lining up round circles to an exact line was easier that way.

Went back to a 2-ball last year after many years of not having a odyssey putter. I’m so happy to have it in my bag again!!!!!! Luckily I’ve a friend at callaway so got discount ⚪️⚪️
I have the original from 20 years ago and believe or not even trying other putters when i go back to it it just works better :) I bought a dream wilson 8808 for myself but the soft face of the Odyssey makes it hard for me at least to adjust to a harder face. Glad they reissued it it is definitely worth making but the price is too steep, should be max £179.
Still using my original Odyssey 2 ball putter from around 2002.
But I did put a new grip on it last year.
I still use my White hot #2 center shaft. I loved the rule 35 golf ball.
I have the exact original 2 ball putter and have used it for the last 7+ years. It was my dads and we have had it in the family for nearly 20 years
