Why people say app opening is a representative of performance? You mentioned the GPU performance and the only thing you did was opening the game and looked at the opening time, this have nothing to do with GPU nor Gaming performance, this is just a storage benchmark for me, the phone with faster storage chip will always open things faster. To see difference in gaming or cpu performance you need to play the games and see which one is the smoother and run real world tests and benchmark. Honestly this comparison don't show the real performance of any phone.

Just by installing Gcam on it you can see the results. It seems like they didn't take much time working on the image post-processing. Unlocking on iPhone X is not a 2 step process. It does unlock instantly once you look at it. And you could see the padlock on the top of the screen being unlocked. Going to the home screen however, you have to swipe up and that is intentional so people who want to look at notifications without going to home screen can do that.

You can't really judge the games, you really should have known that. It's more likely for iOS apps to be more optimized because developers choose to (marketing potential is included). Overall, LG G7 took this win easily.

It's because the iphone x only has 3 gigs of ram. If Apple was to do like a lot of these android phones do and go with like 4, 5, or even 6 gigs of ram, no phone on the market would come even remotely close. Look at the s9 plus for example. It has 6 gigs of ram and jus barely comes out ahead of the iphone x lol if Apple wanted to go overkill on the amount of ram the way these other phone companies do the iphone would smoke any phone in a speed test
Not entirely true you seem to think companies don't pay attention Apple iPhones have a beast of a processor but if Apple goes 4-6gb of ram Android will go 8-16GB, this is the smartphone game and if you think for one minute Samsung, OnePlus, even LG if there late wouldn't make moves think again. Phones will stay comparably fast for years to come, other features will continue to separate them the OS and design for example
not really though, as Nick showed, In-app data both On Instagram and Amazon loaded quicker on that G7. Moreover I've seen OnePlus6 Load Netflix content quicker than the iPhone X. I just bought myself a Product RED iPhone 8 Plus and considering it has the same processor as the X, it should not slow down this quick. Guess what. My girlfriend's 7 Plus runs quicker than my 1 month old 8 Plus. That is sad.
