I wonder how it compares to the Gryphon Diablo 333. I've heard it in a demo room, and that is the most amazing integrated amp i've ever listened to. But it's about 5-6K more than the T+A. Could have been fun with a comparison.
Hi, thanks for the review. Are you able to get your hands on a Gryphon Diablo 333 integrated amplifier and review it? It is getting great praise in the high-end audio community. Would love to get your thoughts on Gryphon, T+A, Mcintosh, and Pass Labs comparison; particularly their musical qualities. Either integrated amps or seperates. Thanks
How would you compare this T+A PA 3100 HV Integrated Amplifier to the AGD DUET Monoblock Amplifier in terms of performance, sound quality, and overall value? Thanks.
I used to own this amp along with the PS3000HV, but it wasn't "my last" integrated amp. Now I'm using the Aavik I-880. Maybe now I'm on my last integrated amp ;)
I totally agree to your judgement. The T+A works at my home since 2018 without any flaw and it is just outstanding. Get an amazing streamer, DAC (PS Audio Direct Stream MKII for example) and great speakers and you are set for a lifetime
The build quality of these, the engineering, simply is superb I have to say. Sound quality within this price has the law of diminishing returns, but the technology and specs and build are all pretty premium. Pressing the volume for menu's isnt my favorite, as is the touch screen, but at the same time the display and ability to adjust brightness or have a temp display is great. I've seen this paired with Monitor Audio Platinum series PL500, and have to say it is certainly a buy it, install it, and simply spend the next decade listening to your favorite music type of system, I think it's stunning. Pair this with the MP 3100HV G3 and you have that classic integrated and CD simplicity. Great thought after decades of multiple boxes. Would love to hear it with the seperate power supply also.
I’ve already found my ride or die integrated amp, my Jeff Rowland Design Group Continuum S2 integrated amp. This too is an heirloom piece (talk about well built!, the Continuum is sealed and solid. My great grandchildren will still be listening to this integrated amp. Plus, I have the HP built in phono stage set for MC. And I’ve driven speakers as diverse as Magneplaner to ELAC stand mounted. You should give it a listen. Oh, nothing (NOTHING) looks as beautiful and expensive as the JRDG Continuum S2.
Hi there, I too recently purchased a pair of Magnepan 207x speakers. What are you presently using with them for amplification? We both know they need serious power and I was fortunate enough to also acquire the D'Agostino 550 Progression mono blocks. This has brought out their FULL potential and can never look back. Perhaps as great as this T+A integrated amp is (or any high end integrated amp) in my opinion they are not well suited to drive the panels we have. Best regards.
Two comments. I don’t think it’s fair to compare against amps you can’t A/B - especially since your speakers change often. Also, I’d definitely recommend looking at the new Vinnie Rossi Brama Integrated. Product of the year and I’m willing to bet can run toe to toe or best the T+A.
At this price, should an amp have a sound? What should an amp sound like? I would like to hear a selection of amps in this price range and compare them to each other, and also to less expensive ones. I wonder if my 54 year old ears would be able to tell the difference. Interesting stuff for sure.
great review. you still need to try LTAs integrated z40+ (made in the USA) I'm sure they'd send you one. There's one on the used market as we speak. keep up the great reviews, I really enjoy watching them
Mark Levinson 585.5 may best the T + A 3100 HV, or the Vinni Rossi Brahma, or the Solution 330. That said, this amp is everything you say it is and more I’m sure. I would love to hear the T + A paired with a pair of new Rosso Fiorentino Arno 40’s and Fyne F1-8.
I have the Yamaha A-S3200 and for a third the price I'm perfectly satisfied. Also a lot of nice Luxman and Accuphase for less. I think you pay a high German or Swiss markup from these companies just for the origin.
Boulder 866, Gryphon Diablo 333, Dan D'agostino Progression integrated amp, just to name a few. Maybe not better, but certainly within the same ball park.

Gryphon trounces it in my opinion

I like that you decided to go up to the higher end of this hobby.
Compare this to the Dan D’AGOSTINO progression integrated.

"shot of pain one time in the wallet" My wife will make sure the wallet is not the only place I feel pain, if I go buy a $25,000 amp 😅
Yes I will have to wait for mine to go on a business trip.

This AMP would be a great mate with my Magnepan 20.7 speakers.

A better deal than AGD for the power. Interesting.
I‘m looking forward to see the setup for 2025
We sometimes read + as and. I suspect its T and A and not T plus A.
"plus" is correct
How does it compare with your Pass Labs experience?…
@@Charles12509 …especially the INT 250!

I like you’re UA-cam review 4 detail It’s like you have it in your hand So thank you
It should have all the optional modules included for the price.

@@philipgardiner2003 Rosso did show up to Capital Audiofest with T+A 3000 series separates. I wish I could have heard that system.
I know it's in a different price class, but how do this compare to electrocompaniet eci 6dx mkii?
You should try Technics SU-R1000, for maybe under 10000usd. I have an love it.

For 25k it should come with a stellar phono pre... just sayin!
How does this compare to the Galion Tube Integrated, not a fair comparison I know, but still curious.
Nice re 👌 How would u compare this to ec eci6?
More new expensive toys. Must be nice to be able keep switching out expensive audio gear. Seems like your journey is never ending.
Great review!
I saw T&A in the title and immediately clicked.
What is your favorite Seal test track?
Future Love Paradise
Ok.... if they take it away from you.... which one are you...going back to....🔈🔈... ?
If I only hit the lottery…😢
$24,000 for this is steep!!!! But I know this is the real deal because those Germans are not messing around 😮
This is what I’ve been waiting for !
great piece of gear for sure ... !!
Great review, objective and clear . Thanks!
In germany the amp is cheaper.
in germany the amp cheapens you
Buy once cry once. Lol
T&A is a great company I visit them in Herford and if you see how everything get build it is out of this world 🎉
German craft manship build for ever ❤
Why didn't you mention or even test it with the separate power supply (PS 3000 HV)? And tell us if you heard an improvement or not with it....
$25k for an integrated... 🧐
It's kinda fugly.
😂
You spent nearly three minutes telling us about you collecting the kit. Please get to the point of the review.
You are old desk techik
I'm sure there's better options for 25k.
You are sure but didn’t name any. Examples ?

Game over with the credit balance as well...
