There are no motorized faders on the Studiolive. You can use the Studiolive as an interface like any other interface. However it does not send MIDI so you will not have universal control over the functions in Cubase with the Studiolive.
too bad the studio live only records at 44.1 k. I wonder what that says about the converter because good converters will do 192k or at least 96k. it has good pres and nice features but no 96k conversion ? thats a no go for me.
hi i have a quick question i have a presonus studio live 24 channel but i want to connect it to my macbook pro early 2011 but it doesn't recognize the board, checked online if my macbook is 800 firewire and it is what could be the problem or what am i doing wrong???
I'm thinking of buying one of these. (the 24) You said it's a "digital mixer", but I see analog input jacks in the back. Can I plug my analog keyboards & synthesizers into it? (Korg Triton, Kronos, Kurzweil PC3K, Roland Juno 1, etc.) Can I go from the L/R analog output jacks on the synths, to the input jacks on the StudioLive, & then using the bundled software, record them? Also, is it a pretty quiet board? Is it good for a home recording studio setup?
does it have a built-in audio interface? i record lots of vocals directly to the DAW and then i just mix them down i have an audio interface but i want to have a mixer to make it easier for me to mix, question is can i do this (Mic ==> PreAmp/COMPRESSOR -rack- ==> StudioLive 16 ==> PC/MAC) pls answer please thnx

we wanna hear how it sounds,I am tired of you guys descriptions,we can get those from the manufacturer website.everyone does the same.No one gives the real mic sound check.

Then I will buy 2000-3000$ Neve EQ & Preamp and work the final mix with him and my 24.4.2.

Between that and it being digital, it's really only somewhat useful if you have a firewire accepting computer.

Does the Presonus Studiolive 24.4.2 commands work with Protools 8 as well with the firewire

I really liked the concept of this board, but the execution is terrible. I was very disappointed when I got it.
