The problem with the Blazer is for $40,000 you can get a Honda Passport with AWD and leather interior, and everybody knows the Honda is a better vehicle.
I think GMs marketing team thought they could slap the name Blazer on a Traverse to try and fetch a high price.. What is the deal with GM lately? I used to be a big GM fan, but lately their lineup just isn't great...
Informative video for those new shoppers . However there are other vehicles in this segment that offer more safety features as standard equipment . The tech in this car you showed I had in an old Cadillac SRX 2016 ! The car is also made in Mexico and if you check out other reviewers that is a huge negative and it is over priced .
Yes, usually the features start at Cadillac and work their way down to Chevy. In my opinion the fact that they're built in Mexico is a non-issue. I would rather them be built in the US but let's face it, soooo many things we use everyday are built over seas including the Apple IMac I am currently using to type this comment.
I agree with you completely about the Grand Cherokee. I am liking the Blazer more and more, in that 2-row segment it's good to have (for lack of a better word) more "masculine" options for those of us who aren't a family but would like that extra space once in a while. You can spec a Blazer so it doesn't look like a mommymobile. I'm hoping as the model ages Chevy will do some different interior color combinations or special editions.
I'm not dissing the look of the new blazer I think it's a good looking little SUV I'm guessing the price. I'm a sedan guy myself my ex-wife used to be an SUV girl. We've always had Chevy cars in the driveway and Jeep SUVs. I have a 2013 Chevy Cruze RS 1lt. And if Chevy doesn't change their ways that will be the last brand new Chevy I ever buy.

Sorry friend but the Jeep Grand Cherokee is an absolute legend!! It's one of the greatest automobiles ever made. There is so much cachet behind the Grand Cherokee name and the Jeep name. The "Blazer" has none of this. The previous Blazer was a piece of garbage, and had a terrible reputation. This "Blazer" can't go off-road like a Jeep and it's not any nicer than an Equinox.
Yes the Grand Cherokee is awesome. They are everywhere in North Jersey. I feel that eventually the Blazer will convert some folks.. most never go offroad, around here anyway
It will never compete with a Jeep Grand Cherokee for 50 Grand in a Jeep Grand Cherokee I'll get a V8 engine yes Jeep hasn't changed the body style of the Grand Cherokee in Forever because it already looks good.
I'm not knocking the Jeep, great truck. In our area so many people lease the Grand Cherokee due to the aggressive leases... for Chevy to compete in our market place they will also have to be aggressive. In time, we shall see how we do.

Everything you listed on that Blazer I got Plus in my 2018 Hyundai Sonata sport Limited plus I got leather interior and a sunroof $26,325 with the $2,500 rebate so I drove that car home for under $24,000. You want me to spend $39,000 for cloth interior I wish you luck
Base Blazer has more standard features than Grand Cherokee Laredo including power driver seat, larger 8” touchscreen, 4G-LTE Wifi, higher tow capacity (V6 vs V6), and Blazer has available safety feauturs like rear camera mirror, lane change alert, & rear cross traffic alert - all not available on Grand Cherokee Laredo.

You're going to take it to work park it in the parking lot let it sit there all day climb back in the vehicle drive it home and park it in the parking lot in front of their house. I paid $26,325 for my Sonata so it came with a $2,500 rebate so I paid less than $24,000 for that Sonata ain't no way in hell I'm giving you $40,000 for a car with cloth interior and $50,000 for one that automatically resets itself in the two wheel drive when you start it. Gm needs to put an override switch for the stop and start feature for 2020 and I will buy one , if not then they've lost a sale. Give us the choice.

Just put 2K miles on my RS, fully loaded with the sun and wheels, and the driver convenience package. Loving it.

I'm sure they'll definately add more additions as the models years pass.. I'm hoping for a twin turbo 4 or 6 with 400 plus HP. That's be awesome!

I test drove the 2.5 4cyl and 6cyl, but I thought the 2.5 4 cyl was smoother. Plus, it sits up higher than the Equinox which I also own.
