I was married to my late wife of 31 years. My late wife was a Filipina from Cavite City. We met in 1975 when I was in the Navy on my 5th. Navy cruise which was my first Westpac. We got married on April 5,1979. We had 3 children during our marriage. My late wife is,always has been & will always be the true love of my life. I have no regrets of having married a Filipina.

I met a Filipina 33 years ago. We met in a publication called Christian Singles. We were pen pals for two years. She lived on the East Coast of the USA while I was on the West Coast. I didn’t see how we could make it work, but she didn’t give up. We have been married 30 years and it was the best choice of my life. She wanted to be a stay at home mom and we have two fine sons in their 20’s. They both thrived in school because their Mom was always there for them. She stood by me when I had nothing. We now have plenty and can retire comfortably without any debt. Today I came home to find her caning and making powdered eggs from scratch. What a blessing. Looking to retire off grid and leave the rest of society behind. The right Filipina, like this UA-cam creator, are the best. I hope my sons will consider someone like their Mom. All true and more !!! I was first exposed to Filipino culture in 1982, over 40 years ago. I was in the military and stationed in Okinawa when I took a trip to visit there during a long holiday weekend. In 2002 I was working in state government and worked with men & women from the Philippines and learned more about their culture and family commitment. In 2009 I worked as a technical advisor for a different company and met 3 guys married to Filipinas who invuted me to thier homes during holidays. I saw their family life 1st hand and tasted the wide array of filipina food. I no longer work with these guys but keep in touch. They all have a 10 to 20 year age gap and have been married to their Filipinas about 20 years now. I married my Filipina 3 years ago and we have a 29 year age gap. My only regret is that I did not do this 30 years ago!! Interesting culture, beautiful smile, petite & feminine, knows how to treat a husband and make a hapoy family!! Love you channel Joy !!!
I have been to the Philippines many times as a 'westerner' and think Filipinas are great in so many ways. I am honest and am not a 'womanizer', but Filipina women are too jealous. At first it is flattering, but after time it is too much. I dated a 'celebrity' there for 6 months, took her to Thailand for a couple of months. She got violent with me one night, accusing me of flirting with other women for no reason. I won't accept behavior like that.

I need to say something for guys considering a Filipina for a wife and this is my present experience. If you marry a Filipina woman, you need to be informed and be advised right straight forward that you are a distant thought when it comes to her immediate family which consists of parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and any cousins. They come before you and they will do things and not even tell you what they are doing or planning or anything. I'm still married but I have to make a lot of adjustments. So please be advised that being married to a Filipina is not all roses and good times. I could say more but I will leave my comments there. I will go ahead and say it is really no better than marrying an American woman except that Filipina women are concerned about your looks like American women are and you don't need to have six pack abs. But otherwise it's no better than any other woman. I just needed to say this.

Correction- Many Filipinos are NOT fluent in English! Especially in the 'provinces'.(rural areas) There are very few foreigners there and very little need to use English, so what little they might learn in school they quickly forget. Spent 10 months there and it was very rare to find someone that knew much English. ( and also, I think you (Joy) don't really need the lipstick, or any make up, like most ladies you are beautiful as God made you, imho)
