@@-bluecat-4405 "we hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal." Is the first line in the declaration of Independence written by a Thomas Jefferson. Is basically saying that they're starting off by saying that all men are equal in the eyes of God. Every man is born with a right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Convince him to have women included in the sequel. Likely this refers to women's suffrage. This is because women were considered only extensions of their husband and fathers. Therefore not equal. At the time, women didn't have the right to vote and etc. Including women in the sequel, says that she wants women to be considered to have the same rights as men.

The scenic/set designers that came up with the rotating turntable floor in the middle of the stage are geniuses. It's such a clever design choice in terms of logistics and works incredibly well with the choreography. It also makes the transition from scene to scene flow together really nice, I wonder if any other shows have attempted to mimic their stage design since then. A job well done to the entire cast and crew behind the Hamilton production. They really caught lightening in a bottle with this one, I can't wait to see what Lin-Manuel Miranda comes up with next.

2:43 idk the way they move just scratches my brain and all of the slick backs look so good
I never get tired of Hamilton! I've seen it already four times and I could easily see it again. So good!
Lyrics if anyone wants them: There's nothing rich folks love more
Than going downtown and slummin' it with the poor
They pull up in their carriages and gawk
At the students in the common
Just to watch them talk
Take Philip Schuyler, the man is loaded
Uh-oh, but little does he know that
His daughters, Peggy, Angelica, Eliza
Sneak into the city just to watch all the guys at-
Angelica!
(Work, work!)
Eliza!
And Peggy! (Work, work!)
The Schuyler sisters!
Angelica! Peggy! Eliza!
(Work!)
Daddy said to be home by sundown
Daddy doesn't need to know
Daddy said not to go downtown
Like I said, you're free to go
But look around, look around, the
Revolution's happening in New York
New York
Angelica
(Work!)
It's bad enough daddy wants to go to war
People shouting in the square
It's bad enough there'll be violence on our shore
New ideas in the air
Look around, look around
Angelica, remind me what we're looking for
She's lookin' for me!
Eliza, I'm lookin' for a mind at work (work)
I'm lookin' for a mind at work! (Work)
I'm lookin' for a mind at work! (Work)
Whooaaaaa!
Whooaaaaa!
Work!
Wooh! There's nothin' like summer in the city
Someone in a rush next to someone lookin' pretty
Excuse me, miss, I know it's not funny
But your perfume smells like your daddy's got money
Why you slummin' in the city in your fancy heels
You searchin' for an urchin who can give you ideals?
Burr, you disgust me
Ah, so you've discussed me
I'm a trust fund, baby, you can trust me!
I've been reading Common Sense by Thomas Paine
So men say that I'm intense or I'm insane
You want a revolution? I want a revelation
So listen to my declaration
"We hold these truths to be self-evident
That all men are created equal"
And when I meet Thomas Jefferson (unh!)
I'ma compel him to include women in the sequel!
(Work!)
Look around, look around at how
Lucky we are to be alive right now!
Look around, look around at how
Lucky we are to be alive right now!
History is happening in Manhattan and we just happen to be
In the greatest city in the world!
In the greatest city in the world!

And Peggy! (Work, work!)

I can't get over Phillipa's/Eliza's little jump at 3:07 lmao- it's so cute!
AND Jasmine/Peggy's little jump at 1:05
No one can convince me that the dude reading the book in this number is not an absolute chad
I love at 0:37 the way Peggy says "downtown"
I love how she pronounces her name : 'PAggy'. So cute.
We don't talk enough about peggy's vocals in the part 2:16 she has a very unique voice you also see in say no to this that she has a wide vocal range the actress so much talent❤
the voice crack made it so good 0:19
honestly.. true
😂😂
1:01 I love the part where Peggy and Philip’s actors exchange glances, that’s so cute (they’re engaged irl)
OMG that's so cute, are they married?
Love how I open the comments are every comment ends with
“and Peggy”
1:46 my favourite part of the song but at 2:05 the way the beat flows on the “history is happening in Manhattan and we just happened to be” is so satisfying! The music structure of this song is so beautiful

@ “all men are created equal”. Including women in the sequel is just an additional lyric to include women in the declaration
@@-bluecat-4405the quote is from the declaration of independence written by Thomas Jefferson. It means that the women are also equal to the men
@@-bluecat-4405 "we hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal." Is the first line in the declaration of Independence written by a Thomas Jefferson.
Can we just talk about how well they used the spinning circle on the stage for this show
1:37 the way they bob their heads in the back brings me joy
I would say that this is my favorite song of the entirety of Hamilton and they’re all very good.
Yes! It's my favorite too! It's just vibes all the way through 😍
Same

I like how Peggy and eliza were holding hands half of the time 🥹
1:58 THE BOOK GUY IS AWESOME
YuHh get it Leslie and Daveed at 2:34
The way they say Schuyler sisters 2:48😍
UHH THE WAY LESLIE AND DAVEED DANCE AT THAT PART HAS GOT ME DOING THE SAME THING
Its so interesting and cool how the girl whi played peggy played such different characters like the playful innocent peggy then the sexy, mature maria reynolds but like in voice and everything
I swear, Peggy is so underrated! 😩
How long ago did you lose your hearing?
what about Catherine and Cornelia?
The second sister is so overrated
Peggy the ultimate back round Steeler
I cant stop rewatching this every other hour
The greatest, most awesome production…ever!!
FR❤
Watching these clips from 2016 makes me sad. This musical was so uplifting, such a reflection of the (unfounded, as it turns out) optimism of the time. And then, six months later...
what happened? /gen

The choreography is so good for this number. Who knew something so basic such as a rotating floor would be so beneficial for this show.

My favorite part is that bald guy going absolutely HAM with that book flipping it around.
I just noticed at the beginning, under the stairwell is Ariana DeBose. Background dancer to Academy Award winner, pretty awesome.
