- I went and bought 10 SF19's and 10 SF23's and threw F1 liveries on them to make this video. I wanted to know what it would be like to have Formula style cars race around the highways of Tokyo. I drove using PSVR2 in this video and took lots of replay footage for extra entertainment value.
Since Gran Turismo 7 does not feature any modern F1 cars, I settled with the Super Formula models. Similar in design, but they are slower and smaller, almost equivalent to Formula 2. Super Formula is a spec open wheel racing series held exclusively in Japan.
I had to represent team USA and drive Logan Sargeant's #2 Williams and get P1. I'm all about that ultra high realistic realism 😉

I know in real life, the bar in the middle disappears for the driver because the drivers eyes are focusing at a distance beyond the cockpit (it's why the bar is gone in GT7 when in non-VR mode).
@Rowdy when in VR, does the bar in the middle disappears you too?
In VR It disappears for the SF19 but not the SF23 for some reason

This is one hell of a cinematic, but perhaps you could show other perspectives other than yours, or maybe do other tracks like Autopolis. Would love to see that track hoster F1

Regular AI. I heavily nerfed by car with less power, more weight and high rear bias downforce to compensate for the AI’s lack of ability to use 100% throttle
Can’t set up your own AI with Sophy yet so it’ll just throw in whatever it wants

Looks like fun! I also like running these cars on Trail Mountain, it makes overtaking on the corners that much more intense
