  • Wanna see a bunch of gold? Watch this a amazing clean-up of gold concentrates that Spencer Phillips dredged from the Bering Sea near Nome, Alaska. Nuggets of gold and gold fines in abundance.
I would like to thank Spencer and Steve Phillips who invited me to visit with them in Nome Alaska and at their gold claims "Phillip's Gold Camp" on the Casadepaga river.
For more information on the Phillips Gold Camp please visit here: bit.do/phillips...

Google search says $1251.40 per ounce.
Thats $6255 for that run alone.
Puts things in perspective... very cool.
    Hope this info is correct.

RegressMeNot , still have to subtract expenses off the top. Alot of them end up with a net loss, still looks like a blast though!

      @regressmenot 7 років тому +3

Grey Silverback Yeah I thought of that too but when they mentioned grams I immediately wondered 'what's that worth? '. It does look like a blast, better then the daily grind I'm accustom to.

RegressMeNot but that's not the only way this Group that Beau's with makes their money. Beau was telling the other day that you could rent a cabin, rent the 4 wheeler, and other stuff. And stay for a duration of 3 months. But you have to work with the mine. Plus cook and clean up too. My point is this group wouldn't be doing this if they weren't bringing in some money.
And then there're other companies up there that you can rent a cabin and all the other stuff and they will make sure you go home with some gold after you've given about $3000.00 per person for about a week. And this is just during the summer months. So these companies make good money.

6255 for 10 days of labor for x number of guys - 3 days of labor on a roof for just me 3 grand - your math is terrible - theres a couple reason swhy they do you tube videos to supplement their incomes, 1 the influx of retards that set out with gold fever dont hurt them a bit cause there just isnt very much gold left and 2 they need the ad money to survive lol - in addition to the bad math these guys will save gold for extended periods of time to make the finds for the video look better than they realy are, dont quit your day job to do this shit, youll find your self broke as fuck quick

Varies on the day. 3 months later [October 10th, 2017] the price has risen to $1,286.40

  • @jaywillow3809

Nice. Here's a better idea for a dredge. Three 48 inch pontoons with a deck built on it. You could put a nice cabin on it, a cabin you and a buddy could sleep in. That would allow you to go further and STAY further. 48 inch pontoons would be able to handle that Bering Sea if it got 4 foot waves. Make the deck friggin 35 feet long so you could setup a helluva sluice/classification system. Seriously, take that money you make and build a super dredge, one you can camp on. 35 foot by 20 foot on top of 48 inch pontoons would be sweet. You could setup all your equipment on that platform and STAY where the gold is while you sluice, cleanup, go to sleep, wake up, and start again right on the gold. No wasted time coming in to shore to clean up,

Just watched Bering Sea Gold videos - then found this “Alaska trip” set. My humble opinion is this is way better - “real” unscripted “reality”. Will be binge watching all the rest from this trip over the next couple of days. Great stuff Beau, really glad I found your channel, learning so much 👍🏻

I've seen gold in one oz vials and there was a bunch of the vials. Some had flakes and some had nuggets as big as you little finger in 3oz vials. It was so pretty. And then on a different trip to this gold mine they had it pint jars. Now that was VERY pretty. lol oh how I miss Alaska. If nothing else just going and visiting my daughter and grandson would be wonderful.
There are so many things to see and do in Alaska and it takes a lot of time to do it.
    Thanks for you videos

You might consider propping your intake hose up on a rock and keep it off the bottom so you wont suck sand and small rocks up that could damage your impeller in your pump.

I used to dredge for gold here in Northern California Mother Lode Country. I could always get in the water earlier in the season than everyone else, and stay in later, because I have a dry suit instead of a wet suit. Funny thing is... I can't swim, am deathly afraid of water, but tell me there's gold down there I'll strap 50 pounds of lead on my chest, dive down and stay down there for 8 hours at a time.

Chigger back when I was about 19 me and a buddy of mine found this big granite rock sitting in the woods all by itself it was natural it wasn't put there but it was covered I mean covered in garnets you could just pick them up with your fingernail and I got a whole bag of them but I lost the bag over time and I don't remember where that rock is but aren't garrnets worth money love to remember where it is I will someday what I found fascinating about them like the one in your hand is that they are already faceted by Nature you know crystalline little round balls with facets purple or red they're neat

Beau, sounds like you are subject to gold fever. A lot of people are. Sometimes it makes you give up what you're doing and go to the end of the world. These guys struck gold when they invited you to visit their operation.
For those who comment about the take versus the value, gold rushes have occurred when the economy was in depression and the people were glad to find a few bucks worth of anything.
That dredge looks like nothing I have ever seen. Where are the riffles? normally sluice boxes have riffles. Is there newer technology? Also, why do the offshore dredgers send their take to be refined by guys like these? Is fresh water better than salt water for refining? Or is it the fact that fresh water doesn't rust the equipment like saltwater?
