A great actor indeed, he played three different characters perfectly. I admire the abilities of all the actors in this legendary and epic series. They were so professional and knew what was required to make an excellent and gripping story. It may have been described as a daytime soap but for me it was much superior than that, a classic and a teaching of how to act and entertain, just like the best stage and radio actors of the previous era
Why is Quentin's ghost so evil? I feel sorry for Elizabeth because she doesn't believe Maggie or Mrs. Johnson. Skeptics usually get the worst treatment from ghosts, I've heard. This story is very riveting! ~Janet in Canada
Quention in life was the type person who only cared about himself....his family believed he didn't care or love anyone Truely love...........but He did truely cared about one person....Jamison Collins (1885 - 1940s) As a child Jamison had a strong relationship with his uncle Quentin Collins...........at some point Jamison rejected his Uncle Quentin because Quentin was going to marry another woman and broke Beth Chaves heart..........as a Ghost Quentin became bitter and angery and when he saw David Collins he saw him as the reincarnation of Jamison Collins and sought to regain his love... by having David join him in the afterlife.............it's a wonderful story when they get to the 1897 storyline.
Elizabeth asks why Julia didn't tell her about the ghost before. Really, she didn't believe Maggie when she told her that she had seen a strange man (Quentin's ghost) in the west wing. That's because David brought out the tailor's dummy (Mr. Juggins) and tricked his aunt into thinking that was what Maggie had seen.
The best Daytime Nighttime soap opera I ever seen growing up as a kid and I still love it😇😇💖💖💞💞
Yay! Professor Stokes to the rescue! He and Nicholas Blair are my favorite characters.
What about Count Petofi?

@@RedcoatsReturn 4 characters (5 if you count parallel 1970)
I liked them both also😊
Quentin the menacing ghost at his best in his early episodes and Beth, she is one of my favorites.
I liked them both.
Dark Shadows should have won an award for costumes, if nothing else. Diverse, and creative too.
The professor is astonishing with the concept of radical inability to harness thee procession.
Some really good actores on this show

Seems like he's looking for revenge for something????
I often wonder, is professor Stokes a radical madman one who lacks ability to comprehend situations or simply adapt to common ground.
