There's also hidden characters to unlock, some builds can be crazy.
I would put this in line with Vampire Survivors in how nuts is gets.

So it looks like you didn't press Tab while on the Character Select screen. The newest update added a new feature where the characters level as you play them and have a talent tree you can invest in that effects how they play. My personal playstyle involves getting as many projectiles or summons as possible. With a tendency to go toward those skills like the one owl that has summons or projectiles swirling around your character. Seems like it can be powerful, though they probably do less damage than the big blasts, but possibly just because of how they look especially when you get a lot of them and they go fast enough. Of course my preference for powers/weapons in these kinds of games tend toward Garlics and then Bibles.

This game is great, but I've completed it fully already, sadly.
The knife skill is really op if you evolve it and focus on it alone, the second evolution (after you evolve it once you unlock the second evolution) is the real OP one, you wanna get that for easy runs to unlock most things out there.
