- Despite Sarcófago's history of conflicts, alcohol abuse, and multiple lineup changes, the undeniable legacy they have left behind is notable. They are considered one of the most important bands for extreme metal in Brazil and the rest of the world.

You're the first person, that I've seen you a documentary on sarcafago. They are one of the most, if not the most important precursor to black/death metal there is. Thank you for the content. It's great.
I was born I live in Belo Horizonte in Brazil. I had opportunity to see them alive a lot of times. Old Sepultura, Chakal, The Mist, Mutilator. Old good times :-)
I am so glad that there is at least one short documentairy on Sarcofago a band being so much influential to the global extreme metal underground of the late 80s.
The best Black Metal band to ever existed in history! True inspirational band to many Black Metal bands out there. INRI is truly the peak of what Extreme Metal is at its climax! Non others could match! Sarcofago forever! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Its a real Shame and Sad that so many Metalheads never heard of or just know by hearing the name somewhere.
Because Sarcófago are One of the Most Underrated Bands in Metal History.
And what makes their Story even more Sad is the fact that they were so far ahead of their time, and were the Influence for so many Successfull Metal Bands Worldwide, and them never reach that "stage" that they Deserved so much. They are among the Greatest of Trash and Death Metal.
PS: Great job pulling the Story abaut this Awesome Band.
Only I.N.R.I. is great and had a major influence in European underground, all the other releases are pure SHIT!

Sarcofago is the most influential and extreme metal band of Brazil
With blasphemy they are forefathers of war metal
Can't forget Holocausto
Please do one on Necrophagia
They never get mentioned or the credit they deserve
Hell yeah! They were the first true US "Death Metal" band imho. Had more of a horror and zombies creepy vibe than the other bands which were more into satanic lyrics and themes like Black Metal.
@@andrewjackson2843 man absolutely!!! Before Possessed ...before Morbid Angel and even before Mantas....we had Phagia
every week i listening to sarcofago. the songs like nightmare, tracy, alcoholic coma, rotting, black vomit, midnight queen, crush kill destroy, secrets of a widow stay forever in my metal heart
Awesome documentary! Thanks for sharing this with us!
I love the 90s true crime narration style ❤
This is a killer doco man!
That is the most interesting doctor of economics that will ever live
Some information at the beginning of the video is incorrect. Brazil already had a movement analogous to British psychedelia in the 60s and part of the 70s. This movement was called "Tropicália", where experiments with rock also took place. In the 70s, rock and heavy metal developed in Brazil and South America. See the Brazilian band "Rock da mortalha", which has a recording from 1974 and the Peruvian band called "Tarkus" with the song "El Pirata" from 1972. It is wrong to say that Brazilians' interest in rock/metal began after rock in rio.
True, good correction. Brazil had an intense rock scene since early 70's, particularly motivated by antagonism against the current dictatorship ruling back then.

🧐 !
INRI is godlike and should be worshipped by any metalhead who values truly amazing metal!
If Sarcófago reunites it could easily do a well payed tour, including Wacken and similars, for the brand around their name has gained huge recognition in recent years, thanks to the internet. INRI stands out as the first extreme music work based on Blast beats as a concept and substancial part of the songwritting, not a circunstantial byproduct of moments as it happened in other genres like grind, harcore, jazz....
In the next one, please use David Attenborough's voice.
do mystifier next please
Up ! Up ! Up !
🧐 !
Hell yeah saw them a few months ago in Berlin. Also had the opportunity to have a short chat with them. I think these guys are from the roots the most satanic black metal band from Brazil
Best South American band ever, way way better than Sepultura. They're on my top 5 metal bands with Mayhem, Nocturnus, Viogression and Ripping Corpse.
🤘nice picks
Sarcófago`s INRI create the extreme black metal who was more explored in the norwegian scene like Mayhem, Gorgoroth, Satyricon and other bands.
I’m glad you made a documentary on sarcafago my family is a big fan of sarcofago
Thanks for sharing
Fucking love these lads! Bopped to INRI in high school art class on my ear buds, good shiz.
Nice documentary but they are few misses with this: saecofao very first demo from 1985 they is available on youtube, their black vomit demo not be confused with the misleading of the low quality warefare noise split & especially sepultura very first demo with Wagner, possesed,& skullcrusher from 1984. But none less great video
Brigada do ódio !! first grindcore band
Great band and pioneers of grind/noisecore!
One of the albums I regret selling.

Who narrates these documentaries? He sounds familiar.
Well, at least the drama was held to a minimum!

If you’re gonna use an AI narrator, at least make sure the script doesn’t have any typos…
what Is the name of Wagners cover band?
In metal archives says that he is active in the band "the evil". His cover band was "komando kaos".
I don't mind the AI narrator, since he sounds like a buttoned up TV news announcer discussing underground metal, but it does need some refining for proper pronunciation of certain proper names and what not. But mostly I'm amused at Wagner's grown up life after the band.
Primeiro veio o Sarcófago depois o Black Metal só que ninguém admite isso
Venom did it first but Sarcofago had the more upgraded black metal sound.
Sim não conto com o grandioso Venom
Verdade cara kkkk
Wrong information: Crust EP was released by Cogumelo Records in 2000.
No! Youre talking about a re-release.
@@sam.n7762 I had this EP and i know João from cogumelo and Wagner as well. I live in belo horizonte also. It was released by cogumelo. Sarcófago needed to deliver one last album to end the record contract with Cogumelo Records, and the band had already disbanded. João kept pressuring, so Wagner and Gerald recorded this EP to fulfill the contract and put an end to the band.
@@PauloSilva-fd4lb thats amazing brother. just imagine to have your hands physically on this original record. Im a huge fan of Sarcofago in general and the first two albums of Mutilator. Cheers from Germany
@@PauloSilva-fd4lb you know them personally? Dude, Wagner is a living legend, a myth!
O black metal norueguês tirou tudo dai do sarcófago
Brazil isn’t a continent. Unless you mean the American continent when you said “shaped extreme metal for the continent”. I’m sure this band and like many others shaped extreme metal for the American continent.
Krisiun , homies...Black force domain...
I discover South American metal music first by Sepultura, but lost interest of them after I discover Sarcofago & Colombian Masacre, along many others in the early 90s..
Ditch the AI narrator. Otherwise good video.
The AI voice is terrible.
Is this narrator an ai robot? This is the second video I've seen and he is constantly mispronouncing words and getting facts wrong.
Lazy video. No heart was put into this so-called documentary.
Honestly this bands artwork was better than their music. Debut was dank but everything after was trash
