Gene Simmons reports when he saw Beatles on Ed Sullivan, THATS the job HE wanted. And a great partnership with Paul Stanley, resulted in KISS selling the MOST GOLD & PLATINUM albums of all time! Even more than the Four Lads from Liverpool!! (Although had they stayed together and recorded more than 8 short years, I'm sure The Beatles might break the KISS all-time record sales. So who were the two legendary rock guitarists.? Just wondering is all. I met both him and Joe in couples of times when I was at a meeting in Copley Square, but obviously I waited until the others had left and I love Steven cuz he’s extremely easy to talk with about virtually anything at all plus being a professional musician 😂 myself I don’t take life too seriously and he’s that same way with this stuff in general except when it comes to his own sobriety and understands if he doesn’t put that first then he’s not gonna need to worry about a thing, because it’ll be gone anyhow. Perry’s practice studio was right down the hall from my older band’s back in 1981-82 at the Charlestown Music Complex and he was in between re joining Aerosmith and still had his own solo act The Joe Perry Project. Charlie Farren and Gary Cherone were both cool with us and Perry’s more private, reserved and 40+ years later I am seeing him outside of his comfort zone whenever they play together. Brad Whitford is probably one of the easiest guys to talk with though and he lived a town away from Me growing up in the late sixties in Reading Massachusetts. He’s written more material than people know and he’s so modest about it like myself when the subject comes up between anyone who asks me.
