How is it possible they sound even better than studio version? This Barry´s voice at the beginning, then that touching Robin´s voice and finally Maurice joining them doing magic. Pure talent, no more!

I couldn’t agree more!! I’ve loved the Brothers Gibb since my childhood. Gorgeous harmonies, always. Robin has that yearning quality to his voice. Loved how he looked at Maurice expecting the echo falsetto. Magical So glad I am sixty and lived this❤

Those of you who listen carefully will be able to hear Maurice Gibb’s highest harmony, his falsetto part. Though his voice is usually “lower” in speaking - his live performances allow his high registers to really shine.
The look Barry and Robin give Maurice at 0:48 is priceless. He really brought his A-game on this one, and the brothers felt it! Just look at how Barry tries to keep up with his energy at 0:36, this is one of those magical live Bee Gees moments where they played of each other and created something unique. Love it!
I think Robin took it off first, you could see he was very pleased with how he started, and then Maurice took over, probably thinking - I'm gonna give my best here, too...and the rest is history - three angels on Earth.
My comment exactly. They got those notes and balanced the voices automatically. I miss them terribly. Just so very good.. I do think of Barry. It's a heartbreak to think of him without his brothers. Sigh.
I feel like the moment Maurice joins in with his harmonies it all just elevates to another level. Barry and Robin are of course brilliant on lead, but you can see and hear Maurice bringing in those notes that tie the whole thing together. Incredible all around!
Miss the three of them singing together. Barry strong and yet gentle voice, Robin magical voice and Mo amazing voice coming in to complete the harmony, just light up their voice and their face. Looking at Barry and Robin proud face when Mo joined them. This is priceless. I think this is by far the best version of Nights on Broadway. The three of them looked so happy. So pleasant to hear their voice but yet so sad to view it now when both of the brothers have passed away. RIP Robin, Mo and also Andy.

No need to compare the brothers. They are all great! They have powerful voices. Obviously though, based on Barry and Robin's reactions, Maurice owned the moment. The highest harmony was his.
@Oscar Small he did the higher part when robin thought he would sing the repeat robin is usually somewhere in the middle and Maurice does the high harmonies with Barry usually as lead vocal
@Oscar Small so I'm not sure who had the highest range per say . What I do know is , maurice his normal voice is like that so he's not doing falsetto it's just a high harmony he also had the deepest voice in terms of time of all 3. Robin had the highest natural tone with Barry doing most of the falsetto but I think robin and Moe could almost go just as high and you can hear robin doing a lot of falsetto on their song living together . They all sort of alternated with Barry and robin doing the main vocals because maurice didn't want the spotlight as much and they are two very strong personalities . It's no problem loved the bee gees since I was a little girl
If you watch Barry's face often, as here, you see the hint of a smile such is his enjoyment of harmonizing with his brothers, it's got to be tough for him not to be able to do that anymore. Their performance here is just amazing, it's a shame they didn't do the rest of the song, but then they had so many greats to perform.
While they were performing they were looking at each other and smiling because they knew : "We are nailing this one!!!" And they were right, this is THE best rendition of this song I've ever heard, too bad they didn't do the whole song.
Although Mo is only ever considered by many in the music world as contributing to the Bee Gees in harmony & background vocals; without Mo there would be no Bee Gees! Mo was the silent strength between the Gibb Men as band mates & Brotherhood throughout all the friction & the spark. He graciously stood behind as he was pushed aside & watched his Brothers shine & gain all the notoriety. Precious Mo & my Darling Andy shared the same comparison by tabloids & the rubbish media rags of being in their brothers shadow, & it took a toll on my Lovelies. This concert piece highlights Mo singing his heart out in high harmony & authentically reveals Rob's & Barry's reaction in astonishment in what Mo had just performed in front of their eyes. Maurice was quite happy to not be so much in the light. He was happy where he was. He played many musical instruments which the other two did not and was the musical director behind the scenes.

My heart goes out to Barry - having to carry on all these years without his brothers. I've lost a younger brother and it's really, really hard. So I can relate to what he may be feeling. There are no words. All I can do is thank them for the incredibly wonderful music they made and shared with us all. The world is a brighter, better place because of it.
There never has been one, either. these are very special. What Elvis was as a soloist the Bee Gees were as harmony. They took thei gift God gave them seriously and sang so beautifully, so many songs Barry wrote are directly from God and have so much double meaning. See you all on a bluuuue island
There's a whole lot of singers/bands that do what passes for music these days and are considered great. They're no comparison to Elvis and the Bee Gees. Just because they can carry a tune and/or play an instrument doesn't maean they're great.
Who knew Maurice had such a lovely voice . Think it got overshadowed somehow amongst his brother's beautiful harmonies but man I love his voice in this song .
Wow Maurice and his voice....unique..he gave everything and fehlt good....it's nice to see that... at the end of the 90' he had some strong moments in this time musically...i love this and i miss him...😢😢😢
Barry's smile just warms my heart, especially because he looks like he's enjoying performing with his brothers. I feel so bad for him, as I'm sure he misses them all dearly
Just last week Sir Barry Gibb was awarded Best-Selling Americana Album by a UK Artist, for “Greenfields: The Gibb Brothers’ Songbook Vol. 1” at the 2022 UK Americana Awards. I have NO doubt that Robin and Maurice attended in Spirit, as these were THEIR songs too; and just LOVE the playfulness of the movement of these orbs in the video. ua-cam.com/video/GqdfAHOFp98/v-deo.html
I'm normally into all the synth sounds on this song but I surprisingly didn't miss it. Barry's acoustic playing allowed their harmonies to shine through brilliantly! I think that was Maurice at the end saying "Whoo!". A well deserved "Whoo!" I might add! He knew that they nailed it! ...and they did.
Was it relief..? It's a 1 minute masterclass on something I don't fully comprehend. You can hear Barry laugh as well.. I like to think in a "what were you worried about" way.
totally incredible, don't need no 20 dancers on stage or some big production, their voices together top all that, just listen, I mean really listen, that's talent
I cannot get it out of my head. I can confirm this is my actual favourite Bee Gees song - Nights On Broadway. And believe me, it was not easy to pick a favourite - but this, this is it. Robin's voice... sent me over the edge emotionally.
I'm always humming it in my head. Just a fantastic pop song all the way around. Works as disco. Works as acoustic, a capella, and I bet there's a great metal version of it somewhere that I've missed.
Man, I would give anything to hear them do a full version in this arrangement...especially when they go into the “I will wait, even if it takes forever” bridge...
It´s completely incredible they sounded even better than studio version and this arrangement makes me love this song even though it´s just a small part of the whole. Pure talent!
I remember how great this was when it first came out and then couldn't believe the negative backlash of the anti disco movement that ushered in the techno electric drum syntho crap of the 80s. Took decades for them to regain their deserved praise and accolades
Co-authored by the trio and powered up by their brotherly harmonies, “Nights on Broadway” (1975) tells a vague but emotional story about trying to make a love connection in the crazy town. This was the follow-up to “Jive Talkin’ (1975), a #1 hit and the one tune that got the Bee Gees’ career back on track. A balance of disco and soul, “Nights on Broadway” turned out to be a solid winner in America and beyond. While recording the piece, producer Arif Martin asked if one of the Bee Gees could do some screaming during the main chorus to make it sound more exciting. In response, Barry Gibb started piping higher and higher, eventually singing in an unexpectedly powerful falsetto. The artist was not even aware of that ability of his. That day (or was it nighttime?), the band’s main trademark was born❕ The track was initially titled “Lights on Broadway”, but to adult it up, “Nights on Broadway” seemed more befitting‼️ 💚🎤💜
On this song and this night, this was the best they ever sounded and it's not even close. (IMO, Robin looks at Mo because he was anticipating the high vocal. Mo did this in live performances so Barry could sing the lead)
Barry at this time has a very bad back problem and Maurice said in an interview that him hitting those high notes were very painful. He really felt bad for him. I think Maurice knowing this gave everything he had singing this song to help his brother. Someone said that Barry and. Robin were the bricks of the group but Maurice was the mortar. Perfect analogy. You were one of a kind Maurice. RIP
idk but i just love how this song was performed live in a quieter way with less instruments.. i mean it's like a "naked" version and the beauty of the song just bloomed on its own.. ❤❤❤
A acoustic guitar, great songs, 3 Brothers, and a ton of talent!! No backing tracks necessary. man I miss these guys!!! This song reminds me of driving with the folks as a 7yr old kid in the "72 Olds delta 88 land yacht and wabc radio from NY.
Part of me wishes this was longer but the fact that they sang shortened versions of several songs that night meant that they also sang the Sun Will Shine and I Can't See Nobody that we probably wouldn't have had otherwise. Every live show must be a compromise if doing justice to each song but giving the fans their favourites v

RIP, Maurice and Robin.
He had another brother Andy who also died.
Absolutely jawdropping. They were pitch perfect - in physics' terms! Don't think there's a band that can do that live these days.
Me too....it's great
Val aarts vc é dez.. parabéns.sabe o que fala
Maurice owns this song
Yes, that's right....i love this song with Maurice....
Maurice....😢😢❤ forever.....
Maurice may "own it", but the true magic of it would not happen without all three brothers harmonizing.
They are all phenomoneally talented.

Maurice is like that quiet friend that every time he speaks or in Maurice case sings, your always so surprised 😭😭
0:49 the way robin looked at mo, "hi twin, u did great"
I'm normally into all the synth sounds on this song but I surprisingly didn't miss it. Barry's acoustic playing allowed their harmonies to shine through brilliantly!
I think that was Maurice at the end saying "Whoo!". A well deserved "Whoo!" I might add! He knew that they nailed it!
...and they did.
exactly! one of the best moog synthesizer bass lines ever, and this just rules
exactly so.
Was it relief..? It's a 1 minute masterclass on something I don't fully comprehend. You can hear Barry laugh as well.. I like to think in a "what were you worried about" way.
So awesome. Today's music will never equal the quality of this kind of sound.
totally incredible, don't need no 20 dancers on stage or some big production, their voices together top all that, just listen, I mean really listen, that's talent
Never really appreciated how good these guys were until i got older, harmony's are off the charts and Maurice on another level.
Mo knocked it out of the park. Wish I could see the whole video
For a moment, just a touch of that magic sound from their vocal prime.
Omg, same..this song is my all-time favorite and yes, would have been super great if they did that part..I get goosebumps whenever I listen to it..
It´s completely incredible they sounded even better than studio version and this arrangement makes me love this song even though it´s just a small part of the whole. Pure talent!
Awesome the helping voice of Maurice, R.I.P.Maurice &Robin One heart the had a band those two the twins Beautiful brothers for ever !! ✨💕
Seriously Mo?! Holy crap! That was EPIC! ❤❤❤😍😍😍😭😭😭
I’ve been listening to this on a loop for the last 20 minutes….. I can’t stop 😭
haha totaly understand!!!
Eu no momento
13/02/23❤
Exactly what I am doing now! It' s unbelievable what a powerful performance they are creating.
It’s too good
The little glance Robin gives Mo at :49 ❤️
I noticed that moment too. It’s very lovely moment. I could perceive Robin’s tender love and care he expressed to his twin. Love Rob and Mo so much.
I need more of this❤
I agree with everyone else, this gig they sound so perfect and clean!
I'm not even a big BeeGees fan, yet this too short clip made me tear up. They are just that good.
I absolutely love the way Maurice blows away his own brothers....you can see it in their faces. Mo didn't always get the credit he deserved.
That day (or was it nighttime?), the band’s main trademark was born❕
The track was initially titled “Lights on Broadway”, but to adult it up, “Nights on Broadway” seemed more befitting‼️ 💚🎤💜
The harmonies are magical. Makes my hairs stand up
3 voices and a guitar can make that sound, it amazes me!
3 men enjoying each other's talent. Wonderful to see that!
Incredible!! Bee Gees best group of all time.
this is so unbelievable
A minute of magic
Maurice hits that high falsetto in this song, its very distinctive ❤
Absolutely stunning. The smiles. They know they nailed it. 💕
Gordon Bennett! Maurice sang a bombshell in that. What a voice and didn't they all have fun.
RIP
It just takes your breath away to hear them like that
Psalm 133:1 "Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!"
Robin and Maurice omg❤❤❤❤
Man maurice is SO coooool
se me pone la piel de gallina
Maurice was a genius.
I agree !
Now that’s what I call music 👍
Great job Bee Gees
So damn great - Amazing voices - The Bee Gees we’re every bit as great as the Beatles - Both pioneers that developed a unique sound - Incredible.
Wow this is pure magic
idk but i just love how this song was performed live in a quieter way with less instruments.. i mean it's like a "naked" version and the beauty of the song just bloomed on its own.. ❤❤❤
TRIO BRUTAL !! FOREVER AND EVER THE BEST OF THE BEST !!
I watch this full concert at least once a week. Never tire of it, brings me peace.
💜
Same..
Eu também assisto sempre! É simplesmente lindo! Não me canso! ❤️
Me too!
Oh my damn. So amazing! That 3 part harmony!! Maurice!
What a tease! That was amazingly tight for a live performance.
They were always amazingly tight. Always.
I can't tell you how happy it makes me feel watching these guys 😊
Part of me wishes this was longer but the fact that they sang shortened versions of several songs that night meant that they also sang the Sun Will Shine and I Can't See Nobody that we probably wouldn't have had otherwise. Every live show must be a compromise if doing justice to each song but giving the fans their favourites v
