- You wont believe but majority of the people who were with me on the metro train were just there to experience it. The atmosphere was so enthusiastic and jolly that you yourself would smile on that.
Most common question asked is whether there is a metro in Pune and now the answer is YESSS...So when was Pune Metro started?? Pune metro lines of Vanaz-Garware and PCMC-Phugewade started on 6th of March and Pune has already taken it as a part of their routine. The infrastructure is minimalistic but it does make your head turn. On several places they have miniature models and realistic posters explaining the pros and the planning map of the metro stations.
Metro train itself is completely Make in India and very spacious. There are also charging slots in the metro. You can see the whole hustle-bustle of the Pune City as the metro passes through it.
Is Pune Metro completed?? Well partial line of Pune Metro have started but it is yet to start on a full fledge route.
Points to Note before travelling by Pune Metro:
- Pune metro timing is from 8am to 9pm.
Pune metro ticket price is Rs 10 for 1st 2 stations and Rs 20 for the remaining. It is Rs 30 for return journey.
- Tickets can be purchased through cash, upi or cards.
- Metro station staff are very helpful.
- Metro trains are running 30min apart so plan your travel accordingly.
- Keep your return ticket with you and only dispose it off once you have completed the return journey
And the most important of them alll.....Dont forget to enjoy and relish the Pune Metro.

Why station is not active because Tajmahal is created and the work is incomplete so do first public and station clear to route then only metro (Tajmahal) can be performed so it will be good for traffic & metro station work Jai Hind 🇮🇳

How to travel from Pune railway station to Hinjewadi? Nearest metro station of hinjewafi phase 1?
If you are planning to go by Pune Metro, then you will have to wait as the line from Shivaji Nagar Railway Station to Hinjewadi is still under construction.
You can always get a bus or share auto/auto to your destination.

What about drinking water facility and cafeteria
They do have a small corner where bisleri bottles are kept wherein you can drink or fill water.
There is however no cafeteria build as of now. Maybe in the near future some food brands might setup their outlet their.
