I was thinking y u get such a less views on this video it's because you showed yourself too much instead of food and other things. This is like overacting in vlogging.
Those new to Pune don't follow this video blindly. - Mastani is a fancy name for mango shake. - For Misal try the one with pao and visit local places instead of popular restaurant like Katakirr - You would find pohe places everywhere dont bother visiting specially for it. - For bun maska and sandwiches visit any irani cafe outlet (lots here) - You would find tea shops everywhere here. Drink at any of those places. - For biryani try Aroma's hyderabad - For maharastrian veg thali visit Durvankar, gujrati thali visit Sukanta. Mix thali in a mall- Majaraja bhog. Also baigan sabzi is popular among locals here. - For non veg- there are loads of options in pune visit any local restaurant nearby which serves chicken or mutton thali. The gravy is going to be watery so north indians used to thick gravies may not like. Try bhakries which are roti made out of jowar, bajra or nachni - Eat bhurji pao specially if you are north india - In terms of snack try dabeli, vada pao, SPDP (dahi puri sev puri), thalipeeth (dapata), kothumbir vadi, aalu vadi - For south Indian visit anna idli (they have many outlets) - For drink try solkadhi.
I kinda agree! The places in this video are close to punekar hearts but they don't give a visitor the whole experience. Do try thalis, marathi snacks and solkadi to understand the essence of our cuisine!
For me 3 places you mentioned are one of the worst in Pune & most overrated : Aroma's Hyderabad & Durvankur & Anna Idali Conclusion : Food is always subjective, don't judge other person's choice.

Is Vaishali okay for American stomachs? I'lve looked it up on line and definitely want to try the sabudana vada when I do a day trip to Pune on Sunday, October 06, 2024. Thanks for amazing reviews.
I’m certain you’ll be fine with the food at Vaishali. I’ve taken many of my friends from western countries and things have been ok after the visit. Do try out their South Indian food too because that’s what they are famous for - even though I like the Vada more :)

Very hard to describe unless you are familiar with it as I just don’t have the vocabulary of a food reviewer. I guess it’s a bit to do with the spices they use, and I also feel a bit of a connection with Gujarati cuisine…
