- This match could have easily been the finals of an event like this, but instead we got these two players facing off in the first round.
Shaw is a three time winner of this event, while Gorst was still looking for his first Derby City Bigfoot title to go along with his International Open Bigfoot title.
This is a race to ten, alternate break, 10-ball on the 10 foot table.
Mark Wilson and Jeremy Jones called the action.

Shaw is looking more and more like Melling every day!!😂😂
As always, Derrick Keith doing a top notch job out there as the announcer. Nice to see
A match for the ages.
Shaw with a break and run ten balls in 2 min 8 seconds 🔥.
Love the safety play and the out of safety play. Here's where today's players miss out: mastering Carom or Three bank ball. When it comes to kicks, I feel today's players ate far too reliant on their little jump cues. For practice, I'd like setting up the most difficult positions to try to find a way to just hit the object ball, and then press on to finding a way not only avoid a miss, but find favorable position. Imagine the advantage that that kind of practice would yield
Yes sir, just like Efren!! 👍
@@johnharmon9934 all good players have table game experience away from pool. Billiards, pyramid, bumper, snooker, are just a few.
I like doing a full runout then i practice kicking at the last ball 2 rails or more until i make it and redoing it if i miss the ball completely. Its alot of fun and you learn the rails in depth
@@sebilliards3694 : Fantastic!
Wonderful game.
Great match
01:32:43 Wow!
Умница !!!
1:32:44 excellent!
TODAY'S CHAMPIONS 🏆
Jayson like in Spain 🇪🇸
John, what is the name of the artist and song? What they don't know is, EVERYONE misses the seven every now and then. 😂😂😂
Make pool great again
Poker ruined it
Great match! Two class gents. Myself, I am dying to shoot on a 10-footer again, been years. Bar-boxes are fun but they kinda drive me nuts with traffic jams. Hardly shoot on the single 9-footer nearby because it's $5/hr rental and there's always some sharky guy hogging it. Eh, who cares? lol okay, bye-bye.
$5 an hour for a 9ft sounds like a dream. All around me are at least 12-20. Highway robbery for a noob like me. Lol
Place near me is $14 an hour so I stick to bar-box too but I am tired of them, definitely holds your game back, I’d kill to have a good 9-foot league going on
$5 an hour? Can I move there?
My friend has a 10 foot Brunswick with 4 and 3/8th shimmed pockets, brutal but fun table.
My billiards club in eastern Nc charges $10 and I can have the table to my self from 3pm to 2am if I wanted. It’s a dream
The game is easier for the top players in the world to play on a 10 foot the balls are more spread out. It’s like playing on two football fields instead of one. Doesn’t make it harder. It’s easier. In a way. Both players have experience with big tables- pyramid and snooker.
Very true but on the contrary, a bigger table makes for longer/tougher shots. Even the great example you have with two foot ball fields.. that’s a lot of field to cover on offense and in defense
Yes and no .... 10 FT TABLE LOTS OF PLAYERS CANT DO IT.. GOTTA ADJUST ..... .9 FT IS A COMPLETE DIFFERENT ANIMAL
What brand is jasons playing cue??😳
JFlowers cue
@@haristkurniawan2330 whyte carbon
@@haristkurniawan2330 jflowers doesnt have this cue on their product list not even on the side where all cues since 2019 are shown. Do you mabe know what model it is?
Should be good
High karate
When I see a lot of railbirds with their hands clasped in front of their mouths and chins, I'm wagering they have oney on the line for one or another player. What I'm wondering though is why several of them have those stifled grins . . .
Jason shaw is the final boss
Is this older this year or really live
Played in January 2024.
I like to see Gorst win but LOVE to to see Shaw lose.
Love the match, but the TV production is straight out of an 80's wood shop class. I have no idea why it looks so terrible. What's with the purple lighting and muffled music, too? I want pool to be big like golf, but it won't be with that production quality.
I like it it feels classic and great camera angles
Who are these guys kidding. I’ve seen Filler run rack after rack making some seemingly impossible full table shots at speed. So yeah, Filler is definitely in another league. Now if the guy could only get rid of that Herman cockiness.
What in the world is that clicking sound heard during this video? So annoying. Great match though. But man, that needs to go.
Gorst made a rookie mistake on that 1 ball bank in game 1, he shot it way too hard. If he hit it softer it would have been a safety on the miss. I guess that is what you do when you get so good you think you can make everything. For me, I play a 2 way shot on it, I go for the bank and play it pocket speed, so if I miss, it is a safety, and now he is down 0-1 to Shaw because of it.
