I'd recommend doing oil changes every 5k. Even at Audi, the price for an oil change is reasonable. While changing the turbos is more involved, you can get RS7 turbos (cartridge assembly) for a very reasonable price.
Can you tell me more about that turbo-problems? I'm looking forward to get an S7 w/ roundabout 100k-130k kilometers and that is something that really worries me. Changing the turbos aint that cheap, some1 told me :D so I would like to avoid that. can I tweak that somehow?

I know a sway bar swap improves the handling on these cars.
Don't forget the two stereo upgrade options: The Bose system (14 speakers/630-watts, but "all highs, no lows, must be Bose") and the Bang & Olufsen system (15-speakers/1,330 watts, but incredibly rare because most S6 owners didn't want to pay the $5,000+ upcharge, apparently). My '13 S6 prestige just rolled 119K. Air suspention collapsed two weeks ago so it's in the shop for likely new struts. That's aparently common and although I don't have the dealer estimate left it may run around $6k. PCV went out at 45k, replaced under waranty but it would have been $3,500. I think they did the Turbo TSB as they usually did TSB's where I took it. Turbos are still original. All front bushings (arms) were replaced at 85k. Many bushings were gone. Steering is getting loose again before the front suspention collapse. Motor mounts replaced at about 90K. DSG is getting a bit sluggish, it's showing it's age. I hope it's not going out. APR stage 1, APR DSG tune, suspention inserts, ceramic paint coat. I've had 5 Stoplight drags, 2 were P85D's and we were dead even at 80mph. 1 was a model 3 performance (gapped it easily). The other two wern't even a challenge. As for the Trunk thing, I never knew that. I'll have to check it when I get out of the shop. Also, if you hold the "Lock" on the fob, all windows close. If you hold "unlock" it opens all windows and I think the sun roof as well. The European model is supposed to have a fully automated trunk as some have swapped it out on their American versions. There is also a small compartment on the front of the seats with the crosshatch. When the Seat heater is on high, it changes to medium in 10 minutes. The time can be changed via Vagcom as can the temperature of the heated steering wheel. Only thing I've changed on Vagcom is the "track mode" and added economy mode in drive select. The biggest issue is trying to keep other people from parking 6" away and door dings. GRRRRRR!!!!! Love your wheels. HRE S101's? My dream wheels.
Thanks for the info. Going to get into the C7.5 S6 from my B8.5 S4. Sounds like a fair representation of a ownership through out. I have one question about the DSG, you said that it is sluggish. How many times have you had the DSG serviced if at all? This is due every 40k but many advocate a shortened 35k interval, and when this process is done, the clutch "kiss" points are adjusted which can help with sluggish engagement. Just a thought! Thanks for the S6 insight though. I don't think it's enough to scare me off ownership.
@@thomasburns3345 I shoot for 30-35k miles for service. I think it's actually due now. Once you go ventilated seat you never want to go back! Coming from a CTS-V that had them to an RS7 that doesn't in their "sport" seat was a real disappointment. But these are serious first-world problems, lol.
Coming from a Audi owner! Please please make sure you check with the transmission services, and who owned it before. Eli would know about my s4🤣 besides that soild solid German constructed vehicle! No other issues that are big enough you can’t afford if you got the budget for a German car in the first place.
I have a IE dual pulley B8 s4 6mt and I love it. Never had a car handle power so well and put it down so majestically and affordable. But I’m really leaning toward an S7, the biggest thing holding me back is leaving my manual, I’m afraid I just won’t get that spirited feel and have that connection with the car. I would like to hear your thoughts Eli and anyone else who has owned or driven a manual B8/8.5 s4 and got a c7/7.5 s6 or s7.
I hate autos of the 25ish cars I have owned this is my 5th auto of some sort it is fairly engaging when I want it to be 98 percent of the time. I am running a Ecu and Tcu tune from IE. Biggest complaints are if first spins at all it will short shift the 1 2 shift also the upshift paddle can be finicky on where it is pressed. I do not use the lever because audi vw is backwards everything I have driven with a sequential trans from a shifter kart to a indy lights car to my last bmw upshift is pull back downshift is forward but not audi vw
I have a 2017 S6 that I picked up in January and have really enjoyed modding it (stage 2 currently). I bought it as a daily driver and more of a cruiser but it’s got great power and ok handling. I like the dual nature of it but, at 4400lbs, this car does not feel like a sports car. I will be installing a rear sway bar at some point but it’s not the best thing to hustle around corners, etc. and IMO the steering is way over-boosted. I’m fortunate to have another manual transmission sports car in the garage. The S6 is the most magic from 1-7/10ths and then falls apart a little bit if you’re really trying to hustle it (except for straight line speed where it excels). Hope this helps you with your decision.
The Night vision camera is behind the most right ring of the frontlogo. I have an A6 Prestige with all mentioned options (and many more), except the sunshield in the back (no need because the back has no-see-tru tinted glass around) and no air ride.
I’m a big car.com guy, but I’ve recently been using AutoTempest if I can’t find what I want on cars.com because it pulls results from 8 or 9 different sources!

my budget for one of these is roughly 25k-27k. Do you think with this price i’d be able to pick up a good one that won’t blow up immediately after purchase?
With the budget you just mentioned, you’re going to have to settle for an S6 with relatively high mileage. Keep in mind, people beat these V8 engines. Just do your due diligence before purchasing (maintenance records, ownership & get your mechanic to look at the car). If a price looks too good to be true, stay away. @@BensCanyonAT4 I've never owned s6 but seeing friends c7 s6 and then looking at other c7.5 s6. I'm just saying what I know.
Yeah they are the same, just Audi advertised the hp differently. I do think Audi tweaked the DCT in the c7.5 though, just not publicized
hey great video by the way very informative a lot of people talk too much about nonsense like everything's to the point I'm new to BMW right now but I'm not loving this car and I'm looking in the Audi direction is there anyway maybe you could shoot me a message I just have some basic questions I truly want something special not the everyday car that everybody's driving so the s line absolutely is where I'm headed whether it be a four five or six thank you
So is the S4 the way to go ?
Once you go ventilated seat you never want to go back! Coming from a CTS-V that had them to an RS7 that doesn't in their "sport" seat was a real disappointment. But these are serious first-world problems, lol.
Great review!
Coming from a Audi owner! Please please make sure you check with the transmission services, and who owned it before. Eli would know about my s4🤣 besides that soild solid German constructed vehicle! No other issues that are big enough you can’t afford if you got the budget for a German car in the first place.
Should i change my bmw x5 m50d to audi s6 2018
Love the video. Thanks for sharing. I could be wrong, but I think some of the 2015's had the face-lift. I think they may have updated mid-year.
I’m in CT I bought a A6 2.0. May trade in to get a A6 3.0. S6 is very expensive uuggg.
Really a great video!!!!
Great video bro! keep up the good work!
My trunk doesnt do that. But it also has motorized close
I don’t have an Audi or intend to get one anytime soon, but man your videos are awesome. Great info and straight to the point.
I got a c7 a6 cause I couldn't afford the extra price of an s6 lol the price difference between a s6 and a6 even used is pretty big.
as a non old person yet I will always pick the contour seats over the sport seats BS how could you not want a massage while driving
I feel this
I hate autos of the 25ish cars I have owned this is my 5th auto of some sort it is fairly engaging when I want it to be 98 percent of the time.
@@tommyyuhas5816 it still short shifts from wheel spin with the TCU tune?
@@jgurdon yes it will shift at around 6k if you have traction control off and it spun the wheels during the launch
So should i buy one ?
2013
155.000km
21.000€
What year is this one?
The flat bottom steering wheel just mean there is no heated steering wheel but the back seats are heated if there is a cold weather package
My 2016 S7 came with a unheated flat bottom wheel and heated back seats

My question is what websites did you use to search for a car like this ?!? ... I’m searching for one to buy/ upgrade in the future
I’m a big car.com guy, but I’ve recently been using AutoTempest if I can’t find what I want on cars.com because it pulls results from 8 or 9 different sources!
when doing the foot wave, dont go side to side just do it once right in the middle like a football. cant hold foot under too long as it waits til its clear to open
Yup a single like 1 second kick straight (vs waving it back and forth) slightly off right from center works for me almost everytime.
Is there something to visually indicate you have this feature (maybe on the diffuser)? My MY16 S6 won’t do it no matter what I try.
@@petew.7911 all of them have it. Make sure you have your keys on you and do it as described. If it still isnt working, go to car-vehicle settings-central locking- and make sure "disable rear lid" is not turned on. All of them have it though assuming youre in america
Is there anyway to tell if a car has the oil screens taken care of? Looking at an s7, dealer does not know.
Unfortunately not :/
@@IgnitionTube If you don't mind me asking, roughly how much does it cost to take out the oil screens? Did you just replace them or have it removed? Didn't see a video on it so i'm assuming that you didn't go the DIY route.
@@user-uq4ly6fp6m That is a really big job, the replacement cost was north of 1500 Euros for me, although the parts are not the most expensive part, it is a very labour intensive job I had the oil separator, oil screen, check valve and gasket replaced. Just removing it will be quite a bit cheaper, but I was advised not to do this (Audi would not have the screen there if it did absolutely nothing). Anyhow quite a few people just removed it and I haven't heard they have any issues.
6:39 Very Nice 🤔.
Great video! What brand and size/specs of wheels do you have? Those would look amazing on my 2018 Daytona Gray c7.5 S6! Thanks in advance!
All in the description!!
A6 don’t have airride in the US.
Does anyone know what happened to this guy's lower lip?? Is it an allergic reaction? Or did he get hit in the lip and it's all swollen up? Very informative vid and I've had some of those issues on my S8 + but I couldn't pay attention I just kept seeing a smurff 🙁 I hope he redoes another 4.0TT video when the swelling goes down
Good information, what do you think would be a good price range for the C7.5 I see that it can be all over the place.
my budget for one of these is roughly 25k-27k.
You need deep pockets to repair this car.
I bought my 13 S6 for $25k out the door at 101k miles at 105k right now and just tuned with integrated engineering and it runs perfectly, just make sure the oil change intervals are done between 3-5k miles and remove the oil screens and you should be good
@@zorroeurosports9947 Funny you mention this. I was looking at a 2016 with 110k miles. They want 24k for it.
@@hikeskool yeah, i changed my mind. I’m looking for something a little more realistic now. that’s a lot of money just to buy a car that’s gonna give out on me. thanks for your input, though!
@@hikeskool you too man!
Love my S6!! Has the B&O sound system which is amazing other than the low end. Do all c7/.5 have the trunk kick feature? I've tried it on mine and nothing.
Power trunk, IR camera, power shades, HUD are all Prestige Trim options.
Have you a noticed a significant drop in mpg after the cylinder deactivation was disabled?
Honestly no
Did you sell it due to the clutches being worn? or what other things did you foresee becoming a problem ?
Nothing honestly. Car was really well taken care of. Clutches don’t wear out on DSG cars.
@@IgnitionTube thanks for your feedback
Great video. What button do you press to raise the rear sun shades?
There’s a button next to the park distance control!
Best option was the B&O Stereo upgrade.
Also, not all "comfort" seats have cooling and massage function.
Are you sure? I’m thought it was standard with comfort?
All comfort seats have heated, cooled and massage functions
Mine don’t, heated only, maybe its just an NA thing ?
@@timothyfindlay6253 is it an A car or an S car?
Thansk for this video!

Abrodolph Lincoler spitting the truth here!!!
can you make a video how to remove the oil screen
I didn’t do the job myself, otherwise I would
I can make a video when I put in my rs7 turbos, already removed the oil screen and driving car since still waiting for some backordered parts
Awesome overview! I would love to find a CPO C7.5 s6 or S7…crazy to admit the new faster S5 and S6 v-6 are just not what l want to hear from any seat or outside the car. Audi please offer more color interior options than Red, and dark gray/black
Nice car
what about that transmission tho
Informative as always!
Does C7 and C7.5 A6 also come with air ride?
I think it may have been an option on some, but most are on traditional suspension
Agreed. I love my c7 headlights!
Where is the power sun shade button
I thought the S6 had automatic trunk, which is good, because I personally prefer to close my trunk manually.
The Prestige model allows you to open and close the trunk remotely, and it's an extremely nice feature.
@@jimlab when you say remotely. You can open and close from the driver seat, say for doing a drive up target order pickup?
@@nV.Cars. When I say remotely, I mean that I can open and close my trunk from across a parking lot with my key fob. Yes, the trunk button on the driver's door performs the same function from inside the car.
any air intake coming? or you good with the stock one.

Comfort seats are for an old man till you find out how clutch the cooling is for longer distances during hot days on a full leather seats :)
Old!
So that explains why the motor mounts went on my dads s6…
Super awesome car though!
I believe if you drive in dynamic mode it wont deactivate cylinders either, not 100% sure on that though.
@@fullname9338 it will still switch to 4 cyl mode in dynamic.
@@cookiehead2 even with ECS off?
@@fullname9338 I haven’t tried that. But it would probably still drop to 4cyl mode when the conditions are right. Coolant temp, engine speed and load are what influence it.
How much does it cost to remove the oil screens?
If you get the PCV done under the extended 120k mile emissions warranty prior to tuning it… you could *hypothetically* have the tech remove the screens while in there for a little extra side money :)
I'm interested in buying a S8 but I'm really afraid of this oil screen issues.
You fix that when you install RS7 turbos and downpipes. ;)
Watch out for DSG issues as well, mine failed at 68k miles
What did it cost to fix?
