I would say the tank is blocked . Fuel fills the float bowl then it empty as u ride and the fuel flow is not fast enough to keep it running . Just a thought when I seen that bloke bring it to u

valves still confuse me..
i redid them on my quad 4 times and it still gives me black spark plugs the jet is stock mix air is at 2 i tried 1.5 and 2.5 still black spark plug and if you give it full gas black smoke out of the exhaust... i dont get it. otherwise it runs fine but idles like it has cams like a v8
so if my valves are supposed to be 0.08 and 0.12 does that mean i shouldnt be able to slide 0.13 under it and 0.11 slides under it smooth and 0.12 is tight? i tried different setting bit lose tight all the same. its anoys the fuck out of me...

Make sure it's timed right. They can be tricky even tho it's a simple engine. The kinda have two TDCs

Man I wish this 08 trx700x I just got was carbureted I know people say fuel injected is better but I know how to clean a carburetor I don't know s*** about throttle bodies
