I grew up watching all of her videos. There's this particular channel on our television here in the Philippines where her shows were airing. The way she picked some of her ingredients in her garden was very very therapeutic. I am 27 now and I still find her videos very therapeutic. She looks very happy with what she has been doing ever since. ❤
And if Ina had not been true to herself and followed her "gut" which directed her to The Barefoot Contessa none of us would have had the pleasure of decades worth of delicious recipes, cooking tips, elegant food presentations and making life a bit more enjoyable while sharing it with family and friends! Thanks for all you do, Ina! ❤
I refer to Ina on a first name basis. She’s been with me, in my kitchen, for over 20 years and did, in fact, teach me how to cook. Everything I learned about cooking, I was taught by my mentor, Ina. Thank you for that, Ina❤️
Ina makes me proud to be an American….she is so incredibly decent, gracious and kind. And her food is easy and fun to cook….have followed her forever! ❤️
I actually appreciate the interviewer for asking about her last job at the White House and the transition and then her decision not to have kids….. I have watched so many Ina interviews and feel like I haven’t heard about those parts of her life.
Helps to be Reich af. But yeah, sure. It’s nice that she can be both appreciative, while also mock and see the ridiculousness of it all. I think she gets her own joke.
@@elspethcraigie6269She was born into a very privileged life. I like Ina and what she's achieved, but lets not pretend she didn't have an excellent grounding and super duper affluent connections.
I have loved Ina and all that she does for decades. What a renagade....always followed her heart with grit and conviction. To many more adventures Ina and Jeffrey.
I’ve adored Ina since I discovered her on Food Network when I was 14 back in 2002. I’ve been an avid fan ever since. She’s one of the many home cooks who taught me all about cooking and my love for cooking. I adore her and am so happy for her success. She’s a mentor to us all to follow what we love. 💕
ALL she has on her show are her rich friends. Besides her recipes are so unhealthy - just look at how she looks! NOBODY SHOULD COOK LIKE THAT THESE DAYS!!
I think with Ina she has that wealthy, sweet but charming and kind mother energy that I think people crave having around. She seems maternal but not overbearing.Like you’d crave her company and she ain’t fussy about food she seems focused on the fun of it.
I love Katty Kay! It’s good to know she has the flexibility to do something other than the politics of the times. She really excels at both. There is no one better to interview than the one and only Ina. Chef’s kiss!
It also must me refreshing as a reporter to be able to do features like this every once in a while. I would think the politics stuff could be just crushing after a while.
This is a great interview. She's warm and wants to be the interviewers friend and shares great life lessons. She's honest, real, things matter to her, she's not small or petty. Love her words of wisdom about slowing down and the stream analogy.
She feels like my favorite aunt! I gravitated to her immediately and purchased all of books except (by choice) three. My cooking was pretty solid but her books and shows made it more fun and simplistic. ❤❤❤❤❤ Her essence still resonates with a smile from me. 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Inaaaaa...is a Goddess! And I'm dying over this "kitchen", and her library. She knows how to LIVE! And is so good at teaching it. Thank you Ina, love you!
Two of my favourite TV presenters having a joyous time together, and Katty Kay has clearly done some thorough research ahead of their meeting. Love this candid interview so much🥰
Ina genuinely enjoyed the interview. I thought it was very sweet when she asked Katty if she'd come back again. Both women are so lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed their visit together.
Ina continues to exemplify what an amazing journey life is. She embraces her decisions to create her own roadmap and keeps moving forward. Her love and admiration for Jeffrey seems boundless. Keep the inspiration flowing ❤❤❤❤
My aunt used to watch her when I was around 10 or 12 and I just always see Ina as like a second mom and seeing her just makes me feel at home and so warm
I can relate to Ina because I didn't learn how to cook until I was married. I learned how to cook watching the Food Network and Ina in the early 2000s!
I thought Ms Kay was a bit rude to Ina during parts of her interview. When Ms Kay insisted on adding sparkling water to the drink Ina had made. Ms Kay went on to say, now that actually makes the drink better. Really !! However, Ina was excellent and cool and calm and went along with the flow. She is always a gracious host.
I clocked this as well. She wasn't a well behaved guest - coming in leading the way to the kichen & picking up items without asking. I was really annoyed, but Ina was gracious host.
Ina is just always so lovely, fresh, the meals are simple with a bit more, and the way they’re enjoyed is so wonderful and intimate and fun, the setting idyllic.
We all are entranced & enamored with Ina because she appears to be so down to earth. She is also a woman of class & intelligence which is the reason why older & younger people watch her. She is a woman of means who is teaching us all how to entertain with sophisticated ease.....not something that everyone learned from their own families or in their own kitchens. I think Ina is a gem.
It’s her down to earth, easy going & funny personality, that makes people drawn to her & her programs. She doesn’t come across know it all, very personal & her funny comments & giggles so adorable. Thank you Ina! ♥️
Learning from Ina, is like learning from a beloved talented friend... and the intimacy of the director's close-shots of her, like we're right there with her. She's simplified recipes with great results!! And she has a cute sense of humor. Jeffrey is such a love and they are an inspiration...
I really did learn how to cook from watching Ina’s show and reading her cookbooks and I think my favorite tip was how lovely veggies taste when sprinkled with a bit of olive oil, salt, pepper, then roasted. And my husband was delighted when I began watching her and trying out Ina’s recipes on him. Family and friends loved it too. You learn so much from Ina, like it’s not about an overdone tablescape, it’s about sitting closely together sharing what’s often essentially French peasant food. Thank you, Ina, you’re a gift to us all.✨
I have made three of Ina's recipes over the past couple months....the ginger cookies, the bone in turkey breast, and the roasted pears with blue cheese, cranberries and walnuts... so appreciate such practical, wonderful recipes... Thanks Ina!!!
When someone is genuine, kind, sincere, & honest, we instantly connect & appreciate this person! In this case, we talking about Ina!! From the very 1st moment I saw Ina on tv, in the 80’s, I liked everything about her casual way!! Great interview!! Both ladies were having a good time - and was I!! Thank you👍🏻🤗🙌🏻💕!!
Ina is very special, her recipes work, not too difficult & are reliable but classy . Her books are my ‘go to’s even now I am in UK after 20yrs in wonderful US and I am not young follower, 69! i love her. i don’t cook as much as i used to, but i have almost all her cookbooks. she does have recipes that use simple ingredients. her spanish pea soup and skillet roasted lemon chicken are my favorites!
What an excellent interview! I love Ina, my weekend was incomplete when I missed her cooking show many years ago!! She is so down to earth and a wonderful human being!❤
Ina Garten, I love your cookbook collection. And the fact that you use them! You are such a kind hearted lady that illustrates grace....love your vibe, easy going attitude. ❤

What a wonderful interview! Good chemistry between Ina and Katty...so was very relaxed. I agree w all who said wonderful things about Ina ...that I read. For me, one thing in particular stood out. When Katty agreed the drink needed something and she suggested some bubbles...Ina was delighted and agreed to try it. Ina not only liked the taste but also commented that the color was also better. Ina is a master and that showed her humility. Another plus is that the interviewer even felt comfortable offering the suggestion
Ina has made me a confident cook because she’s made her recipes easy to understand and without odd or hard to find ingredients. Her cookbooks are specific and make me feel special! Such an easy going woman, I’ve always adored her graciousness and generous personality. Thanks Ina for being a constant ❤
