I have to admit, the petty legacy stretches far and wide in racing! Such history and legendary drivers! Ya'll are awesome and doing such a great job!!❤
I flew the Sky 13 helicopter 🚁 for the TV station in Birmingham 1988-89. I was able to take some good 35mm photos at Talladega of Richard and Kyle. Richard was also nice enough to sign the back of my business card and it holds a memorable place in my photo albums.
I wouldn't change a thing of the Petty History, but I surely would have liked to see Richie get some good loyal sponsorship, and field a Petty Busch car back in his prime. Things happen for a reason, and time flys by,but all in all you guys were very Blessed to grow up like you did.And it all happened on the Petty land,in a small town,in N.C. America has had only 2 Kings,Richard Petty and Elvis Presley, and that's how it should be.Keep up the good work, always look forward to seeing and hearing what you fellas have to say.
Pete Hamilton had some big dogs behind him when he won his first major race. I enjoy all the names and stories y'all share. These are the people that made NASCAR so popular back in the day. I still watch the races, but it's just not the same. Please keep the history rolling. 😅
1971 Rebel 400, My first race Buddy Baker Won, White Dodge Petty Car #11 .And My second race 1976 Carolina 500 Richard Petty won that one . Love the Petty's Racing ever since !
Buddy Baker is my favorite non-Petty Petty driver. Imagine if Ned Jarrett had driven for Petty Enterprises back in the day😯🏁 You guys are bringing the heat every week. Keep it going❤️
I too vote for Ned. If he had been in Petty team Plymouths in 1966 he would have won races AND if he ran enough races he could possibly of been the first driver since 1962 to successfully defend his championship (1965).
Wow yall, love watching yall. Live up in the burlington area. Your family has been so awesome. Always came to the old open house dates. Yalls Daddy and Your Granddaddy and your Uncle ' The King ' Has always been in my life. 62 now. Thanks yall.
All those names that are either in the HOF or belong there! Thanks for making this list! Very informative. God bless you every one! I agree that Pearson would've been the perfect Petty driver!
I remember Jim Paschal...driving for your family....seems i remember he was from High Point...and had chicken houses...farmer etc...he ran baby grand also...a smooth driver...
I recall in an episode about drivers filling in for other drivers. Times have changed. In 2004 I believe KP got fined by Dodge for helping out RCR and Kevin Harvick. Cost KP $45,000. Because KP had a contract to drive a Dodge and RCR had Chevrolets.
I was absolutely shocked to hear that banjo mathews drove for petty enterprises, because I saw a local short driver and banjo almost come to blows in a store in asheville and it was very clear that banjo hated Richard. I've always wondered what was the cause of the hatred.
If I remember right, in the Petty Story movie, the "bad guy" who caused Lee's bad wreck at Daytona in '61 also caused Richard's bad Darlington wreck in 1970. Let's say they took a bit of creative license with some of the storyline...
I’ve got that same orange and blue hat, got it at y’all’s open house back in probably ‘83 or ‘84. Good times, do y’all have anything to do with that Petty’s Garage that’s down there now?
So many great names. We met Buddy Baker, Ned Jarrett, and Benny Parsons, and they were all so gracious and friendly to talk to. True gentlemen.
Buddy Arrington would've also been a great driver for Petty Enterprises! He'd be a perfect fit!
I would have loved to have seen Bobby Isaacs in a Petty car. Great episode guys 👍🇺🇲👊
🏁Another GREAT vid!!!!!!!! 🏁 43

Interesting,,, good topic guys!

I remember Buddy Baker in the 11 car. I also remember his dad racing a couple of times toward the end of his career.
Great looking orange and blue hat .......Thanks for the Show

Right on Dodge guy. Petty Charger; best stock car ever.
Thanks again guys , good job 👍
A subject a lot of people would love to know more about us Uncle Julie
Buddy was the best commentator. When ever a racer had problems with their car during the race, he knew what was wrong everytime.
Buddy Baker is my favorite non-Petty Petty driver. Imagine if Ned Jarrett had driven for Petty Enterprises back in the day😯🏁

Pearson

Wendell Scott
I remember Jim Paschal...driving for your family....seems i remember he was from High Point...and had chicken houses...farmer etc...he ran baby grand also...a smooth driver...
I was friends with Buck and Buddy Baker & they were both good story tellers. Each had some humerous ones about their experiences with the Petty's.

Dick Trickle in his younger years would have been an awesome pick
Hey guys what about AJ Foyt?
Bobby labonte John Andretti
They were talking pre 1980. Another episode will feature them.
@@andyhamilton8940 ok
I never realized how many drivers drove for Petty Enterprises...
A great one guys!!! Paul Goldsmith in the early years. Benny Parson later on.
Thanks for sharing these stories, i had no idea some of them drove for the Petty's
I think Richard Petty would love to had David Pearson...as a driver.
Great stories guys. As NASCAR loses its old fans more and more your channel will grow more🏁
Old school nascar is the best
So true!
Absolutely
Still love those old race cars. They were huge cars big engines monsters to drive but just looked fast
As for a driver, Dick Brooks
I had a picture way back that had Dale Earnhardt testing Chrysler kit cars for Petty....
I've always wondered why Buddy Baker's car was number 11 when he drove for the Pettys. Such an odd number for the Pettys.
Awesome video guys
Massachusetts PETE! 🏆

Bobby Benny Cale the silver fox. Makes my heart fly❤️❤️
Welborn that’s it.

Another great episode! I'd love to hear about Richards 1968 Road Runners with the textured paint that he ran at the Daytona Races.
Charlie Glotzbach And Buddy Baker
Glotzbach probably wouldn't have fit the Petty mold.
Bob Weldon? Not sure if I spelled that right. He won some convertible division titles. He drove for your family and was from Level Cross too
What about what Bobby Labonte could have done if things had worked out?
#11 on a Petty car? Why did the Petty’s enter both and a Plymouth and a Dodge in the same race? Curious
The Petty team was factory funded. Meaning, in 1971 Chrysler Corp. was only gonna fund one Plymouth team & one Dodge, they picked Petty Ent. for BOTH.
Was Bobby Myers driving for the Pettys at Darlington on that tragic day ?
Have you fellas talked about Don Tilley yet?
