Just harvested 1 freakshow from HSCo. Fruity taste. Obv I'm thinking sativa. Very nice and surprisingly the final product is dense, not airy. She loved sulfur on foliage & was extremely mold resistant. Bottom nugs were nicely sized due to light penetration (still defoliated at w2F). 8 week run with Mars hydro tsl2000 (5 In a 6x5') running CES nutrients. 2.5' single plant yielded 2-3 ozs. 72 hour dark period, ice water shock. Very old school. Ive done this when i started growing out weed. It does help a bit but not necessary. Just used blackstrap mollasez ir helps out with everything you can use it via synthetic or organic.
I managed to grab a pack of square 1 wedding cake x banana butter cups Saturday when they did the drop. All the varieties sold out in a couple of minutes! Feeling very fortunate right now! My Christmas present to myself! ✌

@KALI GIRL try bloom seeds. They have some crosses with it. Also surfr seeds has a couple of crosses of it. Surfr has tons of crosses. Both have decent prices as well. Happy hunting! ✌

I have recent videos of a topped auto with great success! Then I left a window open and cold night air caused PM and I decided to chop it so it was not a success on the plant but the top took place when 100% veg the 2 tops grew very long with more bud sites, Reached the light I tied branches down.
I have topped a different auto and caused it to flower right away and got 2 very small bud tops very close together.
Topping an auto requires luck. I don’t think there’s any safe time to top an auto.

No luck involved just good stable genetics and you can top an auto whenever no stunt at all ive been topping autos for 2 yrs now with no issues sometimes I’ll top multiple times

I’ve always heard about the darkness period before harvest I heard people doing that in the early 2000s but never tried it until recently the last few years. In my experience I’d say go for it! I feel like I can see the difference after 3 days the buds harden and dense up a bit more and you get a little better fade. If anything you should harvest plants during the light off cycle so unless you’re super pressed on time it won’t hurt to do it
Yup, light off cycle because that's when the Chlorophyl has settled in the roots and isn't running through the plant...

Top every plant, every time.
Depends on the strain and the size of your grow area, but topping auto flower is very doable. Would I top an ilgm or fastbuds auto, definitely not, but good genetics will bounce back, or not even lose a step. I topped a Mephisto “strawberry nuggets” at the 5th node that would have easily outgrown my tent even with lst. Now she is well over 2ft tall with 8 tops. If I had a 7ft tent, I would have just trained/super cropped her.

great video as usual. Just scored the Xmas package on Mephisto and can't wait to get them rolling. I think they sold out within 3-4 minutes... Damn. So jacked to get them going. Merry Xmas to all and to all get high.
I have a Gorilla Glue Auto that shot up along with 3 more. In less than a week this thing had a head of white hair and stopped any upward growth. It was started on July 8th and is still growing! I just measured it and up straight it is only 12- 5/8 inches tall. The stem is so tiny but the cola is huge and still no amber trichomes but lots of milky ones now along with the clear ones. They have a complete mind of their own! The other 3 didn't even take 90 days total from seed! It doesn't take up much space so I have to see what it turns into, it may be killer smoke, really freaky man! I grow Almonds, Cherries, Berries, tomatoes, etc. and of course this precious medicine! Good show!

Regarding drying in a light room - I have a purple strain with beautiful dark purple to violet hues. I once had to dry some in a room that still had lights on for 5 days, it somehow sapped a lot of the color from the drying buds and they ended up a strange grey color with only a hint of purple. As far as I could tell it didn't affect potency or terps though. Only time it has ever happened so I'm sure it isn't a coincidence. It wasn't even getting direct light, it was hanging about the lights.
Dude I love your knowledge I really do appreciate you! If one was using a five gallon smart pot in flower and the roots are growing out the bottom of the smart pot would it be a good idea to put that whole 5-gallon fabric pot into a 7 gallon fabric pot with a little spoil in it?

I just popped a blueberry auto from growers choice and saw one pistol at day 16. I have two other plants of the same genetics on day 34 and they have filled in nicely and so many bud sites. One is topped and one is not so we will see which one is better at harvest. Both lst'd to the max

Ive run my organic soil 3-4 times now and im fairly sure it could get thru a run without top dressing. But I always do.. Mix it up. Add a tea. Do a cover crop. Its all good 👍🌴❤

If it’s just worm castings and teas I’d do it after every two feeds. Depends really what product you have.

just wanted to pick your brain a bit. what kind of tea do you use for your plants ?
Try banana tea with mollases. Air bubble it for 3 days to build micro organisims. You will have root blast

Topping autos is doable.. seen it.. some do ok.. some dont.. which is enough for me to stick with just LSTing and lollipoping my autos
Guru says to cut just before lights on is all.
I've cut off the limb that has the nanners b4 and they didn't come back but it was like week 7 on a 8 week strain

I was wondering;
what DO they do at night?
Worse case scenario with 3 day darkness, the curing starts. No light, no chlorophyll. I’m pretty sure it kicks the death of chlorophyll into action a little quicker.

I mix my Fox Farm with cocoa .. about a 2 to 1.. never had any issues with just plain Fox Farm

The darkness method is pointless in my eyes as you may make more trics but they ain’t gonna be mature in a few days (if you did make more) that’s for sure.
Exactly. It takes like what 9 weeks for ripeness of trichomes. No way is anyone gonna make any more trichomes in 48 hours and if did they sure as hell not gonna be ripe.

The word of old is (the question on the 48-72hrs of darkness) I believe it comes down to when , there seems to be this truth to Harvesting the plant when the plant is in its full sleep cycle ( darkness ) is when the turps and aromas are at its peak being relaxed , so for me I give a full night cycle and I add a few hours then chop chop....
When is very important. Chop them sleeping always 😴

@@marktrimboli7183 right before the light usually comes on, it's best to chop 5-10 min before they are about to get photosynthesis started ( no lights on , right before light starts ) . I used to chopright before lights out.... I have changed due to all around better results. Also, chop wen plants are pretty dry soil for faster dry, less shrinkage and low temps dry ftw

Easier seed companies that you don’t have to wait for drops? Companies that everyone can get ahold of? I’ve tried for years with square1, not once even right at drop have I been able to get seed packs
I'm liking exotic genetix right now if you are unaware of them. Plenty of choices of crosses in fems and some regulars. Some of it cup winning genetics. Most varieties are usually in stock. Ethos genetics are good. Fresh coast. Surfr seeds. All are worth a run. Hope you find some!
wow i googled the freakshow strain. never seen any leaves like that on cannabis in my life. definitely freaky looking. i gotta be honest , it looks a little weird lol.does it veg like that as well? with those weird leaves and where does that trait come from?

Humbult seed are the best in the US for pheno hunting they have great strains using the Lambs Bread
i saw seeds starting due to a light leak. I corrected it and some seemed to vanish. At the end a plant hadabout 30 seeds and a coule other of those 4 had about 10. My first grow; Potency was no doubt affected but it was still real potent.
I have a question. If you have a micro grow and you make seeds meaning pollinate a micro grown female, does that affect the genetics of the seed? I'm wondering if you take those seeds and run them in a full room will they produce or will they stay micro plants?
If you use fox farms be sure to use 1/2 ,1/4 ,1/4 ...

How many watts do you put your newly rooted clones under, and at what frequency do you increase light all the way to harvest? Doesn’t the ppm depend on light intensity. How many ppm should be used for 500-700 watt led lights? 900-1100 has been way too high. Plants taste like shit.

Mr. Growing, I have a question no one has an answer so I would like to ask you. How much power or watts will be needed using a potable generator to light up 2/600W Leds?
I’ve done both 72 and 48 hours darkness. I don’t see or notice much of a difference.
I’ll stick with 48 hours darkness from now on, it’s more than enough.
Idk prices, but you may want to compare the brand name, horticultural DE to the food grade DE on Amazon. There r some food grade DEs that aren't marketed to gardeners, but they're still pure, top shelf DE..."food grade" is key.

Guys I’m having trouble I feel like everything I grow is stunted. Is a mars3000+sf1000 not enough for a 4x4 ?
I just had to leave my girl in th dark for like 6 or 7 days before harvest. Not by choice tho.. she was also harvested a week early.. again, not by choice.. I just couldnt let her suffer anymore.. but came out ok
I think 72 hours of darkness mildly raised thc and mildly dropped Terps in the one little test they did
For your highest autoflower yield what size pot did you use?
You can sex your plants in veg 2 -3 weeks in you look for the lobster claw with a peal that's a male. ( with a loop ) I always put on 12 12 and waited for years. But looking for the the lobster claw works in Veg. So if you are running lots of seeds in greenhouse before you plant outside it works good.
After growing 20+ years I gave leds a go after hearing so much about them got a Mars ts1000 ,after 6 weeks and only 25% they were bleached! Put the 2 left onto 250mh an after 48 hours they showing life..
Kinda gutted as my mate does real well with his Mars ts2000
Wow that’s just plain odd.. I run a tsw2000 and at 50% even through vEg the plants love it could even be stronger to be honest but I learned distance has a lot to do with it

They got up to the 7th (about 6-8inch) node then just started bleaching! I may give it a go in my smaller tent when I get some cuttings and adjust from there

Was really hoping to click with the Mars Ts1000 as would cut my bills in less than half and would’ve bought more to daisy chain or a bigger one.
It must have been human error … I’m gonna give it another go when I get some cuttings next week.

On my second grow with Compound Genetics fem seeds and Im getting nanners at week 4 of flower. The first grow was seed crazy as I had no idea that this would happen and never bothered to check. Now on a different strain Im getting nanners. I picked the ones off that I found and nothing has shown up since but... So... bad genetics... first one was Jokerz Candy, and this one is V6 Haze. Both were fem seeds that hermed... not happy.
Congrats on your freak show guaranteed female cut. I have Freakshow seeds and gree one thought it was female. (Very hard to sex) chopped it up to clones (8) and gree those out only to find that it was a male. Grrrr!
I have more seeds and maybe I'll try again. I heard that the strain has a psychedelic effect.... Any input on that
Statement? Meaning - have you had a chance to test out the quality of there smoke. Also what are you running in the 2x10 bed?
