I left Mount Vernon in 2006 and let me just tell you Mount Vernon has not changed a bit. I love and I miss HOME. Thank you for this video truly much appreciated.
Thanks for the throwback!! I lived on S 1st St from 2002 to 2003. Still looks the same, except less mom and pop shops and no bootleg CDs being sold. Lol I remember the crack house across the street from Pathmark 😂 . I loved living in Mt Vernon, great memories. ❤
Wow. I didn't recognize anything before A.B.Davis (the annex) HS. I thought it might be Gramatan, but I wasn't sure. I haven't lived there since the mid-'70's, and last visited around 15 years ago. It doesn't look well. Sad. Thanks for posting.

I cam see Mount Vernon being gentrified. Would be nice to see MV in the Summer when nature is in full bloom. I love tree lined streets.

There were more crack spots in those times. Even the corner of 3rd & 3rd is better now 😂😅
Wow, I lived in MV on South 1st also.
I spent 3 years living in MV and working for the school district. I pass through every now and then but I had to move back to CT.
Good view i used to lived on cartland street and heard street names got change.

Parts of Mt.Vernon have changed a lot. New buildings going up along MacQuesten Prkwy. I’ll be coming out with another video soon 👍
