Mount Vernon is a city in Westchester County, New York, United States. It is an inner suburb of New York City, immediately to the north of the borough of the Bronx. As of the 2020 census, Mount Vernon had a population of 73,893, making it the eighth most populous city in the state (2010).
Mount Vernon has two major sections. South-side Mount Vernon is more urban while north-side Mount Vernon is more residential. Mount Vernon's downtown business district is on the city's south side, which features the City Hall, Mount Vernon's main post office, Mount Vernon Public Library, office buildings, and other municipal establishments.

Thanks for posting this. I saw my old stomping grounds right at the beginning of the film on S. Fifth Avenue. My childhood home no longer exists at 343 S. 5th., but my grandparent's house further down the street on 5th near Sanford Blvd. is still there. I haven't lived in "The Vern" since the mid '70's, and it's been about 15 years since the last time I visited. I don't have anyone there to visit any longer. But thanks again.
I was in Mount Vernon back in 2011. I took pictures of Mount Vernon West Metro-North station (the former New York Central station), and Mount Vernon East Metro-North station (on the New Haven Line), and a few sites in between. I walked between both stations. If any when I'll ever come back is anyone's guess (I'd like to), though I've visited New Rochelle more often since then.
Nice tour of Mount Vernon, NY. One thing you missed was the monument on the traffic circle of Gramatan & Lincoln Avenews. It's a monument to the soldier & sailors who fought in the Spanish American War of 1898 - 1899. However, we see the nice Northside and the clean and neat urban Southside, which makes up for the monument in a better way. Thanks! 👍👍

I lived there in the 60's left in the 80's now it stinks from what it was. Gorgeous back then.

Your tour guide was trash my guy , you didn't hit the 4squares run thru south and east 3rd n 3rd the heart of mount vernon , mount vernon ave aka spanish town and 4th ave aka little Jamaica 4th Street hill top , yo whats with that 😩🤷🏾♂️
