Spot on about the price of these cameras, my son is into making videos using drones and some of the equipment is extremely pricey. Take care 👍👍

I use an Akaso V50 Pro now after seeing yours. I use an external wireless mic with it but I had to make an adapter lead. I bought the Akaso wired external mic, chopped the cable and wired a 3.5mm jack socket onto it. I just use a cheap generic wireless mic kit from Amazon.

@@retromechanicalengineer That's interesting, the GoPro lead doesn't work with the Akaso, did you make a note of the pin out? Ian

@@InTheShedUKSorry Ian, I should have done, but didn't. I have potted the socket too, so I can't open it to have a look. The Akaso wired mic is only about £10, I just cut the wires and experimented with different pin positions on a TRS socket. The mic kit is a 'K37' from Amazon, although any TRS Jack wireless mic kit should work. You have to buy the Akaso mic and butcher it though, as the plug is wired differently to a standard USB C. It only took ten minutes of buggering about to get a signal, then I made a neater job of it and potted it with resin for longevity.
