Really appreciate the concise information. At no point did I want to skip forward. Wish more diy videos were like this! I was always told to unscrew the oil fill cap first,; that way when the oil drains out, there is no vacuum created which would cause some oil to be retained.
Thanks for watching Aaron and thanks for the compliment! It means a lot to me. I also wish DIY videos have less time fillers which is why I try to make my videos as short as possible, cut out the boring parts and speed up the repetitive parts. For certain clips I would spend hours trying to squeeze out the last 0.5 seconds to make it as concise as possible. As for the oil filler cap, you are right, I do do that but I forget to film that portion. I will try and remember to do it for my oil change videos in the future. Your compliment validates my work and made my day! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for stopping by!
@@ghettodiy7114 Unfortunately my jack isnt low enough. I just bought ramps and they work okay. I have always owned hondas and did all of my own maintenance. I was pretty pissed when I figured out the crz did not have the front lift point I am used to. 🤷 Last time I put the back on jack stands first just to reach that lift point.....for an oil change 😤

Which direction did you push the jack under car? My jack will not fit that far under my car.
Hi Loch, thanks for watching. I have a low profile jack and pushed it in from the side (the doors). Hope that helps!

@@ghettodiy7114 thanks
Wait.... Isn't jacking up the car going to make the oil not all drain out? Won't some old oil pool up in the pan?
nvm, I just realized you jacked it up evenly....that sucks :|
I just put 4 quarts much easier hopely that doesnt break the car lol
Hey Charlie, thanks for watching. A little bit over shouldn’t be a big problem. Usually mfg engineered a bit of tolerance for these. Cheers
