Ryan hit the nail on the head about being comfortable/addicted to dysfunction. Dysfunction DOES in fact induce certain chemicals in us to make us feel a certain way. If you are in a constant state of dysfunction and it suddenly ends, those chemicals are no longer floating in your bloodstream. You will begin to feel weird about dysfunction being no longer prevalent. some people will either run with the new and exciting feeling or they will create/revert BACK to dysfunction because it's a familiar feeling and its all that person knows. It's super sick revolving door that took me YEARS to break free from. My tattooing and oil painting has benefited tremendously from my ardent choice to NOT wallow in dysfunction any longer. He could have taken a way deeper dive into that alone but I'm just so thrilled he even mentioned it! I f*ckin love this podcast! Check out the author Joe Dispenza. He has stuff on UA-cam. He takes super deep dives into that exact topic! ALL artists could benefit from it!
