Guinea Fowl in Suburban South Africa: From 62 to 12 baby keets in 6 days

I haveno idea where 50 baby guinea fowl have disappeared to. I am showing you daily videos, counting and ''Poof" just like that I count only 12.
Apart from the deaths I document and maybe the odd one I miss that have died in the garden somewhere, there are no dead little bodies lying around. My cats are closed in the house when I sleep and am not able to keep an eye on them and so are the dogs. The parents are very protective when they are this small and will storm the cats down in anycase. Karools run wide circles around them. Between Thomas and myself we will hear the alarm shouts go off if one of the cats or dogs should try their luck. I have no answers, but that the parents took them over the wall to start walking. Guinea keets can fly strongly at 4 weeks old and they are honestly just little tiny babies still. Thomas and myself had to help twice where the parents came back after a days walking around that the little ones had no energy left to get themselves back over the wall into the yard.
Inspite of all my efforts there are very, very few left.

It must be so hard to lose so many of the baby birds. Do you think that they have been preyed upon Sonet? It is all so very sad. 😥
I honestly have no idea what happened. Not 50. How did I not see the diminishing numbers Simone? I sit and video them daily, counting them, it is all on my last videos. I was shocked when I realized there was only 12 left. I am sure some became food, but not 50. I know the ones that started to sleep in the trees most probably were taken over the wall. They are awake before me.
