Haha I guess that's how my son views my walk. Idk. I can already here the military, "walk with a purpose." The waffle cones were great. If I had more patience and let them cook a bit longer it would have been even better.
Great family adventure!! WOW, the chicken strips looked great and I am not a big fan of smores but your wife’s idea may be something I try. Thanks for sharing!! God Bless!!
Yeah that waffle cone treat was really good. If you can slow down the cook and be a bit more patient than I was then I'd better it would be even better.
Thanks for watching Butch. I've had the tent now for about 3 years and can say it's been a great setup. This was one of my favorite adventures. Just a perfect family camp.
Looks good, I'm planning on getting the same set up to replace my current family/winter camp set up. I have only one child however so a bit more space i think. I was wondering if you think It could be adapted inside to accommodate 4 more grown up people. I imagine your already thinking about how you can make room for 4 cots.
@WorldSurvivalist that depends on your needs and wants. If you use smaller cots and not the bulky ones, then you can fit 4 adults decently. I have had 3 adults in there with absolutely no problem and plenty of room. Once you add the 4th it gets a bit cramped. But for just sleeping with a stove going....perfectly fine.
I bought the up-5 and thinking maybe I should have went with the up-2 as I can’t open it alone or without the assistance of a 2x4. Any tips on opening it up?
It's a bear to open by your self. I can mostly do it but it takes a ton of effort. I try to lay everything out and then just lift it up so the lower legs are kind of locked in or supporting it and then push up and open the umbrella part. The other option is to use something to stand on and then tie a rope so you can use your leg to assist. That one is tought to explain. I personally haven't needed to do this more than one time...
Love the camping set up. Looks fun!
Great trip with the fam. I dig that working man's walk. That's a walk with a purpose. 😄 Holy crap that waffle cone idea is genius.

Great job solving the rubik's cube Ben.
So crazy he can do that. I never could figure them out.
What a nice family Scott. A great time in your life. It looks like everyone loves the new tent.
