I have tried with higher and lower speed up to 20 times at 100% but I have not succeeded. so I'm interested in the exact instructions for 5mm plywood as well as what it is for and what is the hose on the laser image during the cut? I got my Neje Master 2S 170x170 with a 30W N40630 module for about 100$ on sale and i bought 2 aluminium profiles and 3m of belt and i made myself a 325x860mm Neje Master 2S Plus Plus xD
@@TinC33 Now i have a big problem, I have this exact same laser module but i cant seem to cut even 3mm plywood or mdf as easily as youtube videos show. I've managed to focus the laser pretty well with a black paper and 0.30% it starts to mark it but no matter where i set the focal point (top, mid or bottom) of the wood i can't cut with with the said speeds or passes to cut a 3mm plywood took me 14 passes. Any advice?
Hey, buddy . cool review . please tell me, can I ask you to cut a transparent PET, 0.5 mm thick . I want to buy it for cutting transparent pet . Thanks. and it would be cool to make the Z axis to adjust the focal length, without rotating the lens .
This lasers got huge problem to cut transparent material becouse light go trough and start burn surface under transparent materiall. There are some trick to cut thin materiall so you apply basic white paper from booth side using water so it stick to a foil without bubbles, then cut, sometimes it work sometimes not, someone says they can make stencils for pcb on that way but didn't try yet.
Podravljen! Ali ste mogoče imeli težave z povezovanjem v drugih programih? V NEJE -i se zadeva poveže in deluje brez težav, v drugih programih kot je LightBurn ali Lasergrbl pa se enostavno noče povezati. Ko se povezuje se sicer motorji zaslišijo ampak takoj zaustavijo. Log javlja timeout. Menjal sem že v se možne gonilnike in opcije s porti in hitrostmi,.. brez uspeha. Kakšen nasvet?
Kater model? Nimam v spominu da bi mi katerikoli kdaj nagajal z povezovanjem, lahko edin probaš nastavit baundrate al kaj je ze tista stevilka za povezavo, pri starejših modelih so ble težave z prekinjanjem ker modul ni bil ozemljen ampak le med delom.... Aja bodi pozoren da si v grbl načinu, odpri neje sw in ga zapri takrat pa klikbi close and switch to grbl mode, ker je drug microkontroler za grbl kot za neje.

Good review, thanks! I managed to "upgrade" the Master 2 to a 2s plus by changing the alu profiles and extending the cables. As you mentioned, the device was barely stable because the motors are not heavy enough. After attaching the device to a board, everything was fine and the motors have enough power. I'm just wondering if it has an impact on speed: have you noticed any difference on that level ?
Great to hear, what about motherboard, do you leave the one from neje 2 or replace with plus one? No i didn't test speed difference, i think plus got bigger motors because of weight more likely then because of power.
@@TinC33 I used a regular 2s motherboard as I couldn’t find a 2s plus. The only issue is that the neje software will recognize it as a 2s and therefore limit the working area but that’s not a problem when using LightBurn. Thanks for the feedback on the motor.
Hi, I have the 2S plus with the 40watt lazer, I'm using lightburn and I can't seem to be able to make a clean cut in 3mm plywood. I use 65watt and 200 in speed with 5 passes and air assist. The cut gets burned bad and the cut is far from good.
I found the error looking at your video once again, the distance from laser to wood was wrong, now it cuts easy with 200 mm/sec and 60% power. Thanks for making this video ❤️
hey.. thats the one i got..... eventually. i ordered the master 2s plus and they sent me the master 2s. but after i contacted them they sent me a 2s plus motherboard. :\ finly someone reviews this one. thx

Kakšna je najboljša razdalja med laserjem in kosom za graviranje, ali je morda vseeno, ker lahko fokus prilagajaš s koleščkom? Ali si mogoče probaval katere nastavitve se najbolje obnesejo na različnih vrstah lesa kot naprimer, oreh, hrast, jesen, bukev?
Odvisno od modula, najbolje je da se poigras na odpadnem kosu in ko si zadovoljen z rezultatom greš z istimi nastavitvami gravirat, višina za samo graviranje ni tako pomembna, vazno da se nastavi fokus, medtem ko pri rezanju ima nekaj ucinka, a spet je najbolje testirat, je pa mislim da okrog 20mm med povrsino lesa in modulom.
Your videos are always full of information. I returned to this video and your comments section in hopes to find a solution as to why I am not able to download the software. It allows me to download the driver. I receive a message that the driver was installed successfully. Then when I go to download the latest version of software, it gives me an error message along with another pop up box saying a problem caused the program to stop working correctly and that Windows will close the program and notify me if a solution is available. Would you happen to know what would cause this?
Hm i heave no idea what could it be, what aboit some other version? So it allow you to download and that message apears when you try to open the software or when you click download?
@@TinC33 I've tried another version and I receive the same error. I even deleted the driver and started over. I get the msg the driver was successful. It runs through the download and after it reaches 100% of the download, I receive the error message. I would think if my system didn't have proper requirements, it wouldn't allow me to go as far as installing driver and downloading the software. Being that this is my first laser, I have no idea what it could be or what else to do. But as always, thank you for your willingness to help and advise. You're a great resource!
@@smiutee3158 drjvers got nothing with software, after install the drivers machine should be recognized in device meneger as one of com port. I think you got setted open when download instead of save, so when it download to 100% it try to open and there fail appear. What kind of Windows you got? There must be something with your sistem software. Idk what it should be, try to contact neje team, otherwise there is much much better software lightburn but it cost $50, but you bring machine to another level with lightburn.
@@TinC33 I don't mind paying, especially if it takes my machine to the next level and I can have more functionality than what the app restricts me to. I've reached out to their support team and am waiting for a response. But to answer your question, I have Windows 8.1. At this point i think my best bet is to download lightburn instead. Zraven vsakega neje laserja pridejo in mislim da celo zraven 40w modula, baje niso kaj prida ampak sam niti ne gledam ko dela najraje zapustim sobo zarad dima.
@@victorruiz1110 please order from my link into videodescription. Take the size wich is soutable for you, i suggest neje plus, got quite big working area, but still simple to assemble and carrying. Power as you need i adwice 30 or even 40w for cutting and deep angrave and adittional 2,5 or 3.5w laser wich are cheap for best grayscale engraving result.

It's all possible with new motherboards wich allow to set it's working area.
@@TinC33 Yeah it's very easy with LaserGrbl or with LightBurn, the only hard part for me in all of this is finding a bed like a honey comb

I always focus on surface and get better result, also air assist make big difference

If you add maybe a small offset weight to the motor side of the gantry that should help reduce some strain.

Try to set 100% laser power and 5mm/s in lightburn, alsmo make sure thet smax is set to 1000 not 250.

But master 2 is smaller than plus version, motherboard won't extend it's working area, did they atleast refund you some money?

Hvala, take tabele nisem nasel najbolje je delat teste na samem lesu tik pred rezom, saj se vsak les malenkost drugace obnasa.

can this cut transparent acrylic? if can whats the maximum thickness?
Acrilic is quite tough to cut with that laser, specially transparent materiall is almost no way to cut.

Didn't try, it engrave black rubber, but if the silicone is transparent i doubt it will work.

If you got drawings in inch it be same size, but inside the neje sw i think is only mm, but there are lightburn for more options.
